3 жыл бұрынReviewing modified cars has its pros and its cons. When you take a vehicle and push it to its absolute limits it's only a matter of time before things start going wrong. This 800HP Subaru WRX STI hybrid motor setup decided it had enough while filming a car review. Thankfully Offtheline performance was there to save the day! With one sad end to the review and a single tow strap we were able to get it back.

Had to walk five miles up a mountain to get service for my phone. Waited 6 hours for my friend to come get me. He looks at it and noticed the wire was off my Alternator put it back on and a jump. I was on the road in 5 minutes

I solved this issue with my WRX wagon. Put a stock engine back in the subi and built an Evo. Still own and love both cars.

Honestly, know about these issues, but always have been a dream car to own. Now I have one, granted it’s got the FA20 DIT, but I’m still enjoy it regardless. As long as you know how to treat them, it don’t matter the issues. You can make an engine last.

I love subarus, but I’ve learned you can’t let subarus sit bc the coolant sits on the head gaskets and eats at them. So note to self if your gonna let a Subaru sit for a while drain the coolant.

I daily mine, but If I don't go anywhere for awhile every 2 days I run it to normal temp for a bit to let the juices flow, same thing when I start it up only difference I move when its above C on the gauge, I ease my acceleration.

@@VanillaWahlberg Well honestly I do believe it just more than the design itself. But thankfully the new FA24 is coming soon. The FA20 showed good potential but has a minor flaw. When the Ascent made it's release I have not heard anything bad from it's block. The new STi FA24L is going to be nothing short of a true successor. The EJ20 and EJ25 are more beloved than you think, it's UEL adds to charm for being such an old platform for like 3 decades. That being said I look forward to the new 2022STi and it's FA24L. Rumor has it the FXT is suppose to make a come back on this platform. I hope it happens.

hopefully were going to see more fa based builds. seems to be a much more reliable motors. im not sure if 2 liter will make 800whp maybe the 2.4 will but time will tell. the fa is still in its infancy.

Depends. Boosted stock gen 2 and gen 3 coyotes live comfortably/reliably at 750 wheel. Smurf is a gen 1 and has 700 wheel with over 100k miles.

My Subaru Impreza gc8 blew the other day. Checked the oil the day before was nice and full less than 24hrs later went boom due to being starved. Would be nice to be able to fix just like these guys😂

@@amgvlogs5087 I’m sure ur maintenance on that amg cost more than a Subaru short block. I can get a brand new short block for 970. How much is your maintenance on that AMG if u take it to Mercedes?
