Your comment about how they keep each other human reminded me of Batman's line from the Justice League movie, about how the League needed Superman back because "he's more human than I am." Which is true. Superman will always really be Clark at heart, an ordinary guy who can still feel awe at how great it is to live in Metropolis, that he's working at the famous Daily Planet, and that he's married to the most wonderful woman in the universe. Superman is his "mask." Bruce is Batman's "mask." To him, Bruce isn't a real person, just a role he's forced to occasionally play so that he can continue his crusade. Clark being a normal guy at heart helps Batman remember that he's not just Batman, that somewhere deep inside there's a guy named Bruce who needs friends, just like any other human. He can't get that from the various Robins, because he's their mentor, and that will keep them from ever being friends at the level he can achieve with Clark. Clark is a reminder that Bruce is human. I think the reason Batman turned evil in this story isn't because of the old cliche that "power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely." Nope. Batman has always believed that he didn't need powers. He could have acquired them at any time, if he'd really wanted them. He thought that his achievements, hard work, skills, drive, and brains (more than anything else), were all that he needed. As he's proved over and over again. He didn't need the power of a god, as so many of his colleagues seemed to be. So he hated himself for how easy it made everything when he got Superman's powers. It belittled all of the hard work and things that he'd accomplished before he got the powers. This self-loathing of Super-Batman made him realize that the only ones who could stop him and make him who he was again, a human, was the Justice League. So he became overzealous and "evil." Note, however, that he didn't actually kill anyone, so he didn't actually become evil. But he did need to be stopped, and who better to stop him than his friends, especially Clark.

@@marccapuyan7898 Batman doesn't need Plot Armor most of the time. Any more than most other Heroes OR Villains. Batman gets his ass kicked PLENTY of times. It's just that Batman is someone who learns from his mistakes FAR better than almost anyone else in the Universe, and makes several plans to make sure it NEVER happens again. If anyone has Plot Armor, it's Superman with how OP they make him. To say nothing of how his frequently doesn't even have much of a plan to defeat his enemies and tends to improvise too much. Batman is like Ninja vs Navy Seals. In a Fair Fight the Navy Seals win every time, but Ninjas do NOT fair fight. The ninjas would win IRL, because they'd do things like use Poisons, seduce and kill them in their sleep, etc.

But Batman DID lose control, because Batman has ALWAYS been mentally unstable. It's why he has the No Kill Rule, because he KNOWS he could NOT stop with just the Joker. He'd start killing a BUNCH more criminals. An at that point he becomes more a threat to the US Government which would want him dead.

Well yeah. Though TBF Batman has ALWAYS been rather unhinged. It's why he has the No Killing Rule, because he KNOWS he would NEVER stop at just Joker. That he would start killing more and more criminals after that. That he would lose control. It's just far EASIER to give into that temptation when you're doing so much good, and your so strong that losing control for a FRACTION of a second makes you ALMOST KILL someone. An yeah they have to turn things back to the Status Quo with Batman, because otherwise it ruins what makes Batman great. Not to mention would eventually create problems down the road, because you NEED someone like Batman for the Super Powered Baddies to UNDERESTIMATE to allow the JLA to win the day against a Big Bad sometimes.

@@bimates2690 It's not that he loves criminals, so much as Batman understands he IS a Criminal. Only instead of fighting for Greed or Murder, he fights for Justice. Batman NEVER hesitates to break ANY law. Batman isn't above roughing someone up to get the information he needs. The thing with Batman though is that he KNOWS that once he starts to kill, he wouldn't be able to stop. It starts with someone like the Joker. Then Bane. But before you know it, he'd end up killing people like Penguin or Catwoman. The ends would justify the means. An he'd stop being the Batman we know and love

Also, Superman becoming the "villain" is to show how much power he actually has and so we can have "Superman Team vs Batman Team". Overall, the Injustice universe is the answer to the question "what if Superman became evil?"

The answer is, he wouldn't. You would have to change his backstory. Even JLU had him at least in the moral grey and resemble himself. Clark in Injustice doesn't act like Clark at all.

It comes to the point that even even freaking animations made for children are more accurate about how Superman behave.

Literally NOTHING changed, aside from how he didn't need to even stop fighting anymore. It was a contrivance needed to go back to the status quo and nothing else. Nothing he said at 4:37 was addressed and much less countered, because he was simply right.
