I have no idea how to gauge if my growth is good, meh, or somewhere in between, but I posted my first video to this channel about eight weeks ago and am at 1.2k watch hours, 26.8k views, 190 subs. I know every channel is different, but I'm having a blast. Your help has been AMAZING! Thank you for the insights, tips, and inspiration.

This Video Slapped so hard! The subject matter and example was so relative to my channel! I have reached out to people from the LEGO KZfaq Community but I'm struggling to get any descent response from my piers. This is dis-heartening but it doesn't deter me. Hopefully as my channel grows and my skills and presentation improves I may have more luck communicating with my piers! Great Video Nate

I like this, very fresh take on what works, I especially love that you are encouraging to make videos about things you enjoy as this seems to be the key to longevity. This is a concept I heard MKBHD talking to Colin&Samir about, the fact that he's very glad that he didn't go viral in the early days because that could have made him chase that one video and repeat it, instead of developing the style that he's been able to develop over the years.

Hey Nate, I totally hear you with the “Grand Caution” business… ive just come back after taking a month off KZfaq. I took your advice from channel makers and scheduled it in with lots of notice, and I made a “im going on a break vid” plus another one as a Premier link for the day when I I tended to come back… it’s worked quite well. I actually went up 40 subs during my break rather than my channel imploding. I’ll definitely schedule another break in future… gotta prevent the burnout!!

Spot on wisdom as always Nate! I've been doing this without really realizing it, trying new interesting things every week, collaborating with bigger creators, trying more audience interaction and approaching them with plenty of candor, and grinding a bit too hard. Thankfully, I got a few days rest over the weekend and I'm jumping back in now!

I agree with everything you said and that last part really hit home. I had a huge momentum swing over the past 3 months and am currently over 20k subs and 5 million views... but i was feeling a bit burnt out. I have several other channels as well and have posted well over 3k videos in the last 10 years. So i decided to just take a week for me. No YT at all. Didnt even pull up my YT studio app and that was the first time in... idk how long. But i took the time to do some other passions that i dont really have the time to do and it just cleared my mind and refreshed me and i came back last week with this renewed and excited feeling and i think that came through my videos. Thanks foe the great content. Came from channel makers when u were there but i followed u over and have been here since day 1 on this channel. Love your enthusiasm and passion. 👊

Thanks Nate! This resonates with me so much. I've started my channel as a way to showcase how art and nature has been therapeutic for me, but I'm not what you would call overtly 'an online person.' I hoped a few people on the internet would see my art, and maybe even be inspired by it. I think because its my great passion in life to create abstract art, sharing them, and my excitement to keep bringing new works (and inspiration and VALUE) has proven exactly what you're advising. I didn't realize its what I'm doing, but by asking questions and making my viewers feel welcome, I'm breaking the 4th wall ... Just literally this morning, a cherished regular visitor of my channel posted a photo of ART on her community tab on HER channel, saying that to see the art reminded her of me and my art inspiration. It was the first thing I saw, and feel so humbled and surprised for the heartfelt mention. To all who is reading this long comment, its true, all of the tips is this video gets it leveled up, and I myself will focus more on doing these specific things AND taking care of the mental health too. Thank you Nate! 🤠🤠

To be completely honest this has been my journey this year is to figure out MY X factor, i have one or two people i watch who has their X factor but i have a hard time telling what it is. But im trying to find me own, which is a whole other journey. Its really kinda funny im 3 years into doing youtube and still learning how to do it everyday. Honestly trying to find this x factor has been one of the hardest thing, but i think that is because I over complicate it. And honestly i think i needed to hear “Do not not destroy yourself over this” because I do feel like i need it. But the journey trying to find my way does seem hard.

This video makes me excited because it made me realize how important my recent shifts in content are as well as my ongoing efforts. So for #1 I just recorded my first ever podcast, with a cohost and a guest, and I also recently switched my let's play content over to streaming and my recorded content to covering small gaming events, women in gaming and some upcoming game coverage. Since doing that I've been much more excited about recording and editing. For #2 I have a small but great discord community with other gamers and content creators and we support one another - I've done a fair amount of collabs with community members. Gotta do more with #3 but I think I'm killing it with the first two so thank you for providing motivation and inspiration!
