Fantastic review. Proud to see two fellow Singaporeans working on horological passion projects. The Swiss watch industry has been sitting on its laurels and relying on past greatness for too long. We know that it was during WW1 and WW2 that the Swiss watch industry “blossomed” because it’s neutrality. 1970 was the first big wake up call for them aka the quartz crisis. We foresee more shake ups for the Swiss watch industry with completion coming left and right from Europe and Asia. We already know that “Swiss Made” on a dial doesn’t really mean it’s made in Switzerland. Think China … where several Swiss watch brands outsource case and bracelet manufacturing. China has 2,000 years of history in artisanal manufacturing under its belt. Branding is the key obstacle for China and that too can change quickly. Think televisions for example. Japanese, Korean and now China made TVs are tops of the line. When was the last time one bought a German Grüdig TV? 😀 Disclaimer, I run the GP laureato FB group and deep dive into all things Girard-Perregaux. I also collect AP and Minerva. Neo-vintage (1990s+) is a favourite era for me.

a tourbillon isnt even that complicated anymore. That being said though... really happy to see a brand not gatekeeping the beauty of a tourbillon and offering it for a solid price. Great video!

There seems to be a lot of dirt and dust on the dial under the crystal, as well as apparent issues with the finishing...

but the roman number is not correct? is 4 in roman is IIII? doesnt it IV?

google 'watchmaker's four"

It's the watchmaker's four. Not uncommon for watches to use that instead of IV. In this case, I think it balances the dial out since VIII is on the opposite side

@@watchesinsingapore thanks. now i know. its the earlier roman write it as IIII. after watching this video, i have seen other brand like longines does the same. overal, cheap tourbillon and beautiful dial

@@watchesinsingapore if I may, this is incorrect : IIII is used instead of IV for practical reasons in order not to confuse 4 in Roman, with 6 in Roman when you look at the watch upside down.A nice watch indeed, thanks for the review,
