I did reach out, 40 years. They liked him. Because I kept staying..that said to my family and friends, I can't be that bad. So, I went to the edge, and refused to go over. I left. Recognizing the patterns stopped the patterns. Cycle was over.

10:25 how did i overcome narcissistic manipulation? to date it has consumed thirty years of my life. of that, i am now seven years into trying to recover and i honestly do not believe i ever will or can. aside from the personal and collateral damage, the malignant manipulative deceit to her own pathologically insecure end consumes me for it's lack of reason and introspection (my primary 'red flags' learnt and since applied), it's closing malice (i ended up in prison and homeless when i got out), and the unaccountable absence of empathy, honesty and love i had taken for granted in a normal human being. all i had ever expected and wanted was the truth, but she isn't normal. i fell for her kindness and soft brown eyes, but the day i saw them turned totally black i knew she had never existed. this sociopathic minority of narcissists who are malignant are a very real and insidous threat to anyone and everyone. being able to recognise, avoid and expose them, male or female, has become my mission in life. believe it or not but narcissists, sociopaths and their close cousins, psychopaths, are historically and most significantly currently the most dangerous existential threat to humanity and our natural human right to transcend in maslovian terms into our most enlightened and ultimate selves - our evolutionary destiny. instead, aided by unprecedented technologies, they can and will reduce us into empty vessels as a species in their pathological drive for control, to 'win' at all costs, to fulfill their distorted, dysfunctional core insecurity. it is all about power for them, not enhancement, not kindness nor love. that is our fundamental, core, human blindspot that they manipulate to their own ends (they always have them). that is our fundamental, core human vulnerability. that we think they are like us. arm yourself with knowledge. i will be self-publishing a book about this soon. i have yet to title it but i can tell you my ex-wife's manipulative deceit of me rose to £40 million and what her actual end was will stagger you. i will be back with more information about my books soon. meantime be kind and loving, but wary. be happy but informed even though they are informing themselves too. i wish you all the wholesome lives we truly deserve. ultimately true love and authenticity must prevail. it truly must. ❤🙏

I want to just add that to be a narc, one must have 5 or more traits and on a frequent basis. We ALL have 1-3 traits in us so please just because you see a few traits in someone, be careful of labeling them a narc. There are overlapping illnesses that overlap NPD and look alot like it.

My story

10mo after I started dating my current wife I was told that if I didn’t propose that I would be left. I allowed myself to be manipulated into a marriage, thinking that if I showed them that I was serious that they would understand how serious I was about loving them. That was my mistake. Now after a year and a half of marriage I began researching narcissism. I fell upon the term Covert Narcissism. I then began realizing that I have been in a relationship with a narcissist. Attempting to bring it to light only made things worse, and now am pretty sure that I will have to divorce her. My reactions to the abuse were not healthy, but I could only take so much. The cycle has gotten shorter and shorter, and now I am questioning if its me that is the narcissist. I’m sad, but know I cannot continue on this path. Any advice?
