I feel so broken and alone. I keep crying at random moments, in random places like on the train or at work. I was the one who ended things, because I realised I deserve to be with someone who truly loves and appreciates me and my ex wasn’t like that. It still hurts like hell though, and I don’t remember the last time that life was so much of a struggle. I wish I could give all you heartbroken people a hug and tell you you’re not alone.

I just discovered my ex is already dating after a month of our break up, we dated for over a year and it makes me feel unwanted or useless when she just forgot about me like that. This truly is one of the most intense pains I have felt in my life, I will pray for everybody who got their hearts broken and felt useless because of it. Stay strong and keep moving, even though I feel like crap now, I know someday I’ll be with someone who loves me for me.

My heart is like aching at random moments and it hurts so much

It's been two months and it feels like my heart is literally shattered to pieces. Whenever I remember of him (almost all the time) I cry until I throw up. I'm crying right now. I can't eat, I can't sleep, I miss him every second of every day. I've been having panic attacks lately and it's getting worse. I can't express how much I love him still. He means the world to me. My wife of 7 years doesn't love me anymore and left me. I shared my best memories with her and did so many things for the first time with her. My bond is so strong and i just feel dead inside and don't have anything to distract me or anyone to talk to. I sit and think of memories and I can't stop it. I've gone through this many times but this time as I'm an adult it's so hard to even smile and say I'm fine. To whoever is going through this...I swear you will overcome this pain. I had the worst anxiety and panic attacks and my heart was on auto pilot I had zero control over my anxiety I could be in a room full of people but felt so lonely and was scared to be alone. But honestly what helped me was going to the gym and working out (focusing on a goal is a brilliant idea, find something with purpose and will make you feel good) I am now in the best shape of my life and I feel good about myself. there is no easy fix all I can say is, in time the pain will pass and you will regain control over your heart but you just got to be patient. Honestly I honestly wish I could take away that feeling from you, it's the WORST!!! But Inn Shaa Allah you will be fine ❤

Had I not gone through it once I would’ve never met the woman and companion of my dreams. We’ve Ben together 23 years and I’m still in love today like I was 23 years ago. In fact we just both retired and are more in love than ever. I say this to say, you never know what’s around the corner and when that someone will change the way you see life.

This video is GOLD . I have used this technique . I did EXACTLY what he said . I still cried but I changed for the better . I’ve done many new things . I went bar hopping something that i’ve never done . I change my hair , something I’ve always wanted to do . I started to lose weight . I have started changing my ways for the better. I did all of this while doing no contact . after 10 whole months , he came back . He realized that there was no one like me . But because I have flipped my life for the better , i’ve realized that I didn’t want him anymore & I’d never thought about rejecting him but i did . He has a family with someone else & he still manages to contact me . But I refuse . Please , you guys I PROMISE YOU LIFE GETS BETTER !!!!!! My little sister went through her first heartbreak last year (16YRS) & she swore she was gonna die … now we literally laugh at that memory . First, thank you Matthew for this wonderful advice. You are a gift from heaven. Im writing this at 8/27/2022 . I have been in No Contact rule for 5 days now. Sometimes I feel confident. Sometimes it hurts like hell. Tears are flowing like shits and it doest care even if Im on something. While Im eating, before I sleep, when Im listening to music and I feel real shit, I wanna hug myself. Unrequited love really sucks. It makes you feel pitiful. It makes you feel unworthy of love. And it makes you question about everything. Am I not good enough? Why cant he love me? When you know you were in your best version and still you were not chosen. But I realized that self respect should be always louder than your love to other person. Your worth shouldnt base upon on if he would love you or not. We are worthy before we try to love them and still worthy after they broke our hearts. Right now Im on my self healing journey. Im gathering myself again after it shattered into pieces. Realizing the world will never give a shit whether I feel shit or not. So theres no other way but to keep going. The next time I visit this video, I hope the reason is not because I’m broken hearted again. this is so true! I was writing my bachelor thesis the last time me and my ex broke up. However, we got back together after a while. However, we broke up again this fall and it was heartbreaking. But now I am writing my master thesis and I am about to finish my studies, which really means something to me. I am really feeling that I am doing progress, and although there are times when I get sad and feel lonely because of the break up, I still feel that I am going in the right direction. So, I totally support this advice.

What hurts the most is the difficulty to believe that the most unexpected person-someone who was your only happiness, peace, support, someone who made you feel loved to an extend that you took her for granted- leave you like her promises and commitments were just lies and how they move on so quick and is so happy without you.

I'm halfway through the video and I can confirm what he says is very helpful. I had this important goal for a few years that I procrastinated on. I finally finished the first big step of this particular goal. It was extremely difficult, but it was huge. I started a couple of weeks after the heartbreak. I was in serious, unbearable, seemingly forever pain. Normally I sleep or date others to cope with things, but it was completely futile. I couldn't even bare to date anyone new because in my mind no one compared. Filling my days with work or activities would not have helped either. Friends and family? Nope. It was this huge personal goal I had set a few years back that I needed to start. Completing the first step was critical in this goal. Now I'm on the path towards this life goal. The heartbreak thrusted me into that. I felt good about myself again. It gave me a huge confidence boost and it made me feel I achieved something. I shared this with everyone and I got positive feedback. I felt great again. This didn't make my heartbreak disappear, but damn it made me feel I could survive. You need to feel as if you could survive in order to give time to heal those wounds. Otherwise you do stupid desperate crap and compromise your self worth. A very serious heartbreak ruins your confidence. Defeats you. I found a way to lift my confidence. This is my story. About almost 3 months after the heartbreak, I'm feeling close to myself again.

My boyfriend, and went to work one morning last month never came home. There was no argument, there was no discussion, in fact he was intimate with me in the morning that he left to go to work. I found out that he quit his job that day, and moved to another state. I was completely blindsided and devastated. He was my best friend. And now I am left with this apartment where we just signed a lease together that I cannot afford on my own. If I don’t get a roommate in here soon, I will be evicted as I can’t afford the rent on my own. But I have no energy or desire to meet with random strangers and try and rent my spare room out. I’m just so sad and the pain is so deep. Everything reminds me of him. So I’m not only suffering a heartbreak, but I’ve got to do something fast before my situation spirals out of control.

I’m 23 years old and got heartbroken by a girl who went back to her ex who cheated on her 3 times. She said she loved me and I loved her because she was my first official girlfriend. We did a lot of things together and I can’t even go to the movies or a restaurant because it reminds me of the times we would go there. I can’t watch my favorite movies or listen to my favorite songs because of the same reason. I’m currently on my last semester in college and graduate in December. I realized that she went back to her ex because he is 4 or 5 years older than her and he would buy her stuff that she couldn’t afford. What i don’t understand from her is that after everything he has done to her (cheating on her, making her cry, etc) , why would she leave me and go back to him. It has been almost 5 months and I still miss her. I’ve done many things to try and get over her but nothing works. I started doing drugs and my drinking was heavier, drinking almost everyday and spending my entire paycheck on alcohol. There are some days where I’m doing something I enjoyed before she dumped me and Matthew is right, I always say “I wish she was here with me”. It hurts me emotionally. I always believed the saying that everything happens for a reason, but I really don’t understand why this is happening. I pray to God answers and ask him to help me with my suffering. I will try and update my comment each month with my progress.

A dude here. You will be fine, TRUST ME!!!. - Embrace the pain. - Take out time to grieve everyday - DO NOT CONTACT THEM, I Repeat, DO NOT CONTACT THEM. This does not help You AT ALL. You'll feel worse after you drop that phone (unless it's very important) - Spend your time doing something that gives you daily rewards of that sense of accomplishment. - If you are religious, do not engage in the "please bring him or him back to me and I promise I'll never do this or that " prayer. - Create new memories, cause when you really look at it, this is what causes the hurt right? -Take good care of yourself.Start working out, buy new clothes, get a makeover and don't engage in excessive use of cigarette and alcohol like I did.In fact, now is a good time to get rid of those bad habits. This will give you something else to be proud of. - Although it might not feel like it right now, you will find love and happiness again.The odds are in your favour on that one.
