Finally, someone who gets it. Dropshipping is a really good business model, however the work and capital you need to put in to make it a success is underrated. Then the fact that you have no control over product means that success can also be quite short-lived. The process on this video is really great. Its capital intensive to start but its a long term business model that can easily make a multi million dollar business

Is it wrong to start in dropshipping, to save some money than to proceed as you said? I mean after saving some money, to start working on my own product with some manufacturers? The thing is I don't have enough money to pay a good product designer, than to invest in the first sample until it gets perfect and so on. I am just curious what would be your approach in this situation. :)

You forgot about scammers in dropshipping. The system is really good but stripe and paypal dont care about sellers. I had bad experience when some dude opened dispute in paypal after he got product saying that he got not his product. My colleague one morning found -5000 in stripe as some dude opened dispute ant took all goods. This is sad but anybody can buy anything, add some crap in box and later open dispute to get back their money.

Thanks for the great idea. How would you recommend we protect our product idea working with suppliers? If it's a great product idea, can't the supplier you work with then just sell it on alibaba or other platforms?

Because there's very little incentive to switch business models if they're an established supplier already selling to many clients. This and the fact that it's much easier said than done for them to actually execute on your idea/vision.

If they've already created the product with you, isn't there no additional effort to list this product among their other products on alibaba? Thus they could easily offer your product to other alibaba customers who could flood the market with the same product?
