The only thing that impressed me with this video. Is that I learned apparently the Chinook max speed is 1400 mph. According to the spec details on here.. Very impressive!! 😆

The trouble with the F-18 is, it's a Northrop design that was given to Boeing to produce, under the flimsy excuse that Northrop had no experience building carrier aircraft at the time. As it is, Northrop Grumman still builds about 40% of the aircraft.

Boeing isn't really known for carrier aircraft. And it was MD not Boeing who made the hornet. Boeing inherited the super hornet when they absorbed MD

@@k.h.1587 You are correct. I forgot that MD was acquired by Boeing. Which makes the F-18's inclusion even more interesting in this list. Boeing ended up being the 3rd company involved with the plane, and not even the second.

I believe the b47 was the first long range swept wing jet bomber, the 52 is probably longer range, but the 47 was the long range strategic nuclear bomber before the 52

Only four are Boeing products from the start most came over from Macdonald \ Douglas or North worth and bell helicopter when Boeing took them over

So only four were 'Boeing' aircraft. Most of the rest were MD aircraft.

I don't think the Chinook flies as fast as 1,399mph (2,252kph). That is just as fast as the F-15 Eagle. No Helicopter flies that fast! That has to be a mistake.....

The Harrier was an all British aeroplane. The design was bought by the Americans but they had no design input, Please get your facts right.

I believe it was macdonnell Douglas at the time, but the av8-b harrier II did have American designed improvements

The last in-house Boeing-designed combat aircraft that made production was the B-52. Every other in their current inventory was an acquisition of Hughes, McDonnel-Douglas, and Bell/Sikorsky. Yes - Boeing made some fantastic aircraft. The legacy of the B-17, B-29, and B-52 cannot be denied. But that was a long, looong time ago. When Boeing actually tried to make a modern multi-role combat aircraft they designed the X-32. Enough said... Modern day Boeing is a MESS! I'll be surprised if they last to the end of the decade without a tax-payer funded bankruptcy bailout. Too big to fail, too big to succeed, and whistleblowers wind up...uh, deceased? BTW - I didn't include the KC-135, P-8 Poseidon or KC-46, as they're converted airliners and not military-centered aircraft like the other's on this list. The KC-135 was a magnificent aircraft with a remarkable long and dependable service history. The Poseidon seems to be pretty good too (remarkably). The less said about the KC-46 the better...
