+edward hickey Lexa was becoming an issue to be honest. She did everything she could to keep Arkadia safe and I'm sorry, that's just a bit boring. Now that she is dead, it's gonne be interesting to see how the new leader of the Grounders is gonne deal with it and how the entire process of electing a new commander happens. Sorry to say this, but Lexa dying is one of the best things to happen to the show in terms of storytelling.

+Martin Cantu the thing is everybody expected Lexa to die. It was only natural because they couldn't keep that character alive when the actress wasn't available. And if she didn't die they would have to pretend she doesn't exist or she ran away and that would have been stupid. But this man right here and his staff (writers + others) went out of their away to ensure people believed other wise, creating false hope to a sensitive crowd/audience just to crush it just like that, not even giving this character some kinda of glorious warrior death like she pretty much deserved.

I think it might be because the actress is on the new walking dead show. So she might have had to leave because of that if the schedules conflicted. I have a theory that the character could live on through that bug thing. It wouldn't be the same actress but still the same character. I don't think Clarke ever met Lexa, she met the leader i.e that bug/chip thing that gets passed on. That's what I got from the last few episodes anyway.

In my opinion, it wouldn't be that hard to work around. I mean, there are countless actors/actresses who are like on two shows at the same time but everything still worked out for them.

No I don't think so but I didn't know they were mad at this so they could of lol I thought his death would have upset more people seeing as even though he did some bad things they were for a good reason. Lexa has F'd over Clarke and the sky people multiple times so it's sad that they were sorting things out but the show is about a brutal world. It's not a rethorical question, there's an actual answer to that: 31%! Three lesbian out of ten dies on T.V.. I ask you to show me evidence that straight characters drop even half as much on T.V. Not to mention, because lesbian characters often come in pairs (because, you know, romance stories), it means that happy-endings are extremely rare for lesbians: Again, in 40 years, only 30 stories ended with an happy-ending, aka only 16% of them. Show me the stats that show straight characters' happy endings are that rare as well. Equal treatment means that, equal: Which means either a) stop killing off lesbian characters, until the % is (at 2-3% difference) the same as straight characters; or b) start killing off WAAAAY more straight characters, until 3 out of 10 straight characters die on T.V. That would be actual equal treatment. What we have, right now, is the idea that lesbian characters are expendable but the straight ones aren't. That's not equality by any stretch of the imagination. +Juan Carrion that's how life is most of the time, sometimes it ends like that, her death was the most realistic of all the deaths on the show, no song and dance, no real big build up, it reminds me of Tara's death in Buffy. (I don't remember that having such a backlash, but then, Tara was no Lexa) I honestly don't see what other people are seeing, this show is one of the best on tv right now. it's a shame that some people always have to think that there is some hidden agenda behind some writing decisions.

All I'm saying is that if someone was truly attached and deeply loved a character, fictional or not, whatever they're feeling is still okay. It will affect them to some degree, yeah not as intensely as the feel of loss for a real life person but still. Lexa is not in the books at all, including a whole bunch of other awesome characters. The show was written before the books were out. The writers don't control the entirety, that is why Jason's job title is "Creator". And last but not least, the anger is not about Lexa the character dying but the decision to fall into the Lesbian death trope EVEN after proclaiming themselves as groundbreaking and giving fans false hope such as Jason encouraging fans to visit them on set of the finale in downtown Vancouver and letting them see that Alycia was there. All to let people believe that Lexa was still ALIVE and make people keep watching the show after 307
