Yeah... I have a 2016 Mustang GT convertible. I love it, but when I saw this in person the first time, I said it would be my next car. I love the look, sound, and I want an AWD, supercharged sports car. I'm interested in the 400 Sport or an 18-20 R or SVR... More likely the R or SVR because I doubt I'll want to go backwards in power from the Mustang. I need an 18-20 because of the updated infotainment/Android Auto. Every feature I have in the Stang, I need in the F-Type.

Mustangs are fun for sure and a solid V8. I think you will enjoy either one. Drive them both and see what happens! Thank you for the comments!

There is some pretty incredible engineering on the underside of the car.

How do you pronounce it? Jag-You-Are?

Guyito Martinez I am in Sweden so here we say ”yaguar” but if you are in an English speaking country you should say ”Jag-you-are” or ”jagwar”. Jag-wire is just super weird.

@@PerformanceOnWheels no the carbon fiber brakes are good for 80k miles plus you never have to replace the rotors and to top it off the put off no brake dust. They are truly wonderful brakes but as a 12k option pricey.

@@timorson8553 in perfect scenerios of non tracked cars yes you can get 100k+ out of the rotors. To say the rotors will never have to be changed I have never heard that. I have read that the rotors are a lot more fragile and have read reports of replacements needed from dings/chips. If money was not an issue I would absolutely want them.

@@PerformanceOnWheels the stock exhaust is pretty quiet but I had a Borla exhaust on it and it sounded amazing as well. Loved the sport seats it had but the infotainment could have used a little more work. its definitely not as fast this type Type R tho

No, happy to report that I haven't had any major issues, save for one of my catalytic converters going out at 28K miles. Factory bumper to bumper warranty had expired, but work was covered by the emissions warranty and Jaguar replaced both to be safe. Currently have 37K miles on this daily driver and I still grin every time I start her up. Still turns heads everywhere I go. Motor has been rock solid. As a matter of fact, I hesitated for nearly 2 years on buying the Velocity ECU tune, but I'm so confident in the motor's ability to handle the extra 50hp that I took the plunge. I can't see buying one of these new, but factor in depreciation & this is a no-brainer. Couldn't be happier with my experience so far.

It's a pretty crazy car

Mid 40's is definitely the place to buy at the moment. The F-Type is getting a lot of traction on the used market. Curious what will happen with the R and further depreciation. Who knows?!?!?! I might put mine for sale in a couple months just for fun, or might keep it forever. Definitely love it.

You will not be disappointed. I have owned a lot of cars and had the opportunity to drive a lot of fun cars. This is top 2 or 3 overall. Best car when you take the amount you can get one for into the equation.

I thought I read in the past that the v6 models have a launch a launch control but V8's do not. I will have to look into it again.

It may take some practice but once you get it down its really cool.

Keeping watching the other Jag videos we have out, you may find some stuff useful. I think it is a brilliant car. I worry that I will have a hard time finding a car that offers the same incredible experience. The service intervals are much less than you would expect. They have a good reputation going for reliability as well!

@@fernandog4009 I'm waiting to order a C8 from a small local dealer. From what I've seen most the 2018 low mileage 1LE variants are almost the same mrsp as a base C8.

@@turboleggy Yea it just depends on what you’re looking for. The ZL1 is going to be easier to modify and can almost crack 800rwhp on the stock tiny blower when it’s FBO. But the C8 is just a badass new platform that I’m sure more mods will be pouring out for soon as well. That’s awesome that the dealership isn’t price gouging you though lol

The struggle is real! Lots of good choices. 911 if your more into the beauty and engineering of the machine-- ftype if you enjoy an overall driving experience more and like living life with your pants on fire.

If you want to loose your money get any of those . None of those vehicles are durable

Ken thanks for subscribing! We appreciate that. I paid just south of 46k. From my research. Cars in the low 40 range typically had something on the title. High 40's low 50's are either very low mileage or overpriced. I think a '15 R should be purchased in the mid/low 40 range right now to be a good buy. I was good paying a little more then I could of got one for because of it being a one owner as well as having a warranty for a year.

I think that is a preference decision more than anything. Unless you are wanting to track it, if a convertible is your jam. It is a great choice.

@@PerformanceOnWheels The only thing about the convertible v8 for 2015 I don't like is it has less power than the 2015 v8 coupe. I'm wondering if it's significantly noticeable? Did you drive the 2015 v8 soft top? That'd be an interesting video.

Coupe vs. convertible? Oh boy. I think that is all personal preference. I do believe the coupes seem to be holding there value a little better for what that is worth. Options.... I think the only must is the vision pack, so you get a rearview camera. The amount of standard options is plentiful. The additional items start getting pretty nitty gritty, illuminated door sill, extended leather package, black out packages and the carbon ceramic brakes. Just to name a few add on options. What is your gut telling you?

I think a lot of it for me was wanting to have something that was more unique and more special the ZO6 is definitely an amazing machine. I think from a performance standpoint you won't know the difference or feel the difference when you're talking about the f-type r. If you are looking at a AWD it will definitely be a completely different experience from a rear wheel drive model in my opinion. Stay tuned for that video coming soon let's chat in the near future.
