The 2021 Aston Martin Vantage comes in a ragtop, roadster version! It's still got the same 503 HP, AMG-sourced 4.0L V8, but now it's got the world's fastest convertible top, for real! Goes up and down in under 7 seconds. I've always liked the new vantage despite some of the issues. A convertible with a stick would be about the best trim.

@TheSmokingTire, I had a very bad experience with Thursday Boots. They were poorly constructed, came with flaws, were very uncomfortable and after 5 days of purely office use they looked like they were a decade old. Their customer service was terrible. They basically ignored me. I really wanted to love the boots and support a microbrand, but I just can't. They made shitty boots and wouldn't replace them or refund me.

"lighter and more powerful than the GTC" 4:40 503hp on 3505lbs dry - Vantage Roadster according to Aston (likely the GTS tune of that 4.0 v8, but Aston doesn't say) 550hp on 3748lbs dry - GTC Lighter yes, but the power to weight ratio is worse and the GTC makes almost 10% more power. It's a shame though; I wish they used the GTC engine, but I'm guessing Daimler wasn't too keen. This drive was awesome, thanks!

4K video looks really good, big difference over 1080p, more immersive and easier to see small movements. FYI on my computer, Chrome dropped 1/3 of frames, Edge does fine. What a difference!

What a gorgeous symmetrical engine! It's nice to see the turbos proudly displayed, rather than covered up with plastic cladding. Good job Aston/AMG!

Don't know about you but I'd want the heat shielding to protect the chassis brace and hoodlining. It's a liability issue too, don't need anyone touching hot turbos.

The grill needs some blue to define the the bottom. Black spoiler & grill make it appear like the bottom was ripped off.

Hey Matt the AMG GTC has 550hp and the GT R has 577hp the Vantage has 503hp so it’s NOT more powerful than the GTC or the “same engine” as the GT R it’s a detuned version

corvettels9 the new Vantage is built on a shortened version of the DB11 platform. Most of the car is Aston designed. The engine however is the 4.0 litre AMG V8, so that’s where Merc comes into play. Also the size/performance/price of both the Vantage and AMG GT put them as competitors, along with cars like the 911.

Attempts to at least. Its still pretty rough. I expect a full front end remodel within the next year or to. Sales have been horrible.

The convertible sees a new front grill introduced as standard. It doesn't protrude like the original and the metalwork surrounding it is a little different. Its standard on the convertible and optional on the coupe (and vice versa) Looks a LOT better too
