For some reason we were just never able to figure out the Athletics. They always just seemed to have our number. I'm so glad they were bottom feeders and not a playoff team, because they were the only team that could stop us

Playoff baseball is a different animal. During the regular season you don't have your best players in the line up every game and the pitching rotation isn't the same.

I remember that I had to work the day of the 18 inning game. As soon as I got off I rushed home to try and catch the rest of the game. I got there at the start of the 9th inning. I thought I had missed most of the game. Turns out I only missed half of it 😂

Yeah, they asked Dusty what was the hardest decision he had to make in the series and he said it was leaving McCullers in to preserve the bullpen. But, to McCullers' credit, he understood an wore that.

Only the white Sox did a post season domination better since 2000 with only losing 1 game saldy they also swept the Astos that year in our 1st WS trip.

mccullers was great in the reg szn and had a good start in game 3 of the ALDS but yes he was pretty bad the next 2

Great video, only thing missing is talking their fan base. Players will tell you, great fan base. We stick with them no matter what and believe me we have some lean times and never have I heard our fans boo or trash talk or own players. Astro fans love their boys!

The Oakland Athletics had a record of 7-12 versus the Astros in 2022. The Houston Astros were 11-8 against the Athletics in 2021. I would not say they just beat us. More like they won more then they should have.
