Amazing server idea, I think being banned for 7 days is a bit much though. I get the idea of doing that, but that's also disallowing someone to play just because they died, which in a game is really easy to do.

So, I take it the server is called 24/7 Simulated War? Excited to try this out as I bought this game yesterday. I'm used to BF Bad Company up to BF4. Tried Reforger last night (for first time) which was fun, but so many toxic new people ruining the mission on Server that people put a lot of time to make. Felt bad for the 10 people that were trying to coordinate and show people how to do the mission, all the while people being ignorant to them.

These hostage situations are hella funny. It shows how armies capture, interrogate, and execute. Really crazy.

I just bought Arma 3 a few days ago, going to run through tutorial first and some single player stuff and hope to get into this soon. I feel like I know absolutely nothing!

I used to play twice weekly coop Arma 2 mission sessions with some guys in "CIA" group years ago. Brings back memories. Bought Arma 3 years ago, but just found the learning curve for accommodating all the new controls and features a bit of a bummer and never got into it.

A lot, and I mean a lot of people sleep an ARMA 3! The simple fact is that it has a game mode that everyone can enjoy from zombie survival, to death matches, and King of The Hill, to a War sim! It has like every gun and vehicle you could ever want, and the things you can do with your character, and gameplay is endless! This is something I will be playing tonight!

You should probably make it so that captures result in 3 or 5 day bans so people prefer surrendering over dying

I think "if THAT's in the mod...it's amazing to find the modder give the AI a name to respond to...how wholesome... Damn 7 day ban is imo way to long for a realistic death punishment.. I get the idea but removing an entire week out of 52 just because you died seems like an odd way of killing the server pop tbh. 2-3 day ban would make more sense
