The more I keep seeing this, the more I think they were trying to blend Time to kill's gameplay with RE4's over the shoulder camera (that was the style at the time.) but didn't quite work out.

I think there is actually more 3rd person Duke Nukem now then 1st person as most of those were either just expansions or re-releases of the OG game and its expansions like World Tour edition was while a lot of the 3rd person ones were often unique or altered to suit their console.

Matt, from the bottom of my heart, and I say this because I love you. I need you to start a PSP series with terrible game play. I feel like that's a untapped market that you're missing out on. My recommendation, go with Miami Vice. Such a great terrible game, you'll love it!

Lol when you mentioned how there were more 3rd person Duke games than 1st person, I thought to myself : well not including the expansion packs we only got 1!".......then I remembered "oh yeah, 2011 Duke Nukem Forever" 🤦‍♂️. It truly was that unmemorable to me. I'm not sure if I even got half way through it before I sold my copy.

I vaguely remember wanting to get this for my PSP when I heard it was coming out, and then it got canceled. Would love to see you do a video for the DS version that was actually released.

I read the title and thought it was called Critical Miss.

This had alot of potential had they finished it it probably would have been one of the best games on the psp. Judging by the size of the levels there could have probably been coop too since smaller maps make that easier to program.

Oh, it was another version of the game we did get. (I SHOULD have known since I have a copy of the DS version) I thought for a second it was one of the other cancelled games in that "trilogy."

Man this was a cool find shame it wasn't released though, it probably needed a few more months in the oven before it could be shipped in it's current state and it's already seems to be an enjoyable experience at the least, true things be kinda cheap and jank, but none the less there was more effort in this than the released version of DNF, speaking of which I would love to see Matt McMuscles here to check out DNF 2001 which had it's unreleased build on the internet and since the floodgates opened for playthroughs of unfinished games thanks to this video, well I'm down for more Duke action. 😀

I let out a groan of pain upon realizing the HP display was somehow backwards. Look at 6:34, Duke's apparently at 100 HP out of 45. It's such a small thing but fractions mean something! Edit: Oh god that second number's supposed to be armor. What.
