They were absolutely fantastic today , we were 5mins clear in the fed today

I don’t suppose your on Facebook as It would be a lot easier for me to show you a picture or even a small video , just it’s the national this week so the distance is jumping up to 280 miles so unless she was one of the first back it might be difficult to get her on film . Don’t get me wrong I hope she’s first back 🤣

@@Oneloftracing this week around 700 birds away , it’s been over 1000 the first few races but I think some kept some at home for the national next week , there will be over 3000 in the section though and I think we are 1st and 2nd

Hi mark and thanks for the message , I would honestly say we have the worst location in the combine , not just us but our whole federation, we are pretty much bang centre of the combine which stretches approximately 100 miles, we are two miles off the coast with lofts 8 miles to the west of us . The federation is very fair though , we have whiteleas allotments 1 mile directly in front of us and west park allotments 1/2 a mile behind us , so we are all in an exact straight line . The best place to be in our combine is usually by the coast as the predominant wind is south west , but being in the centre of the combine if it’s a head wind the guys 40 miles in front of us have a huge advantage , and if it’s a tail wind the guys behind us have the advantage, west in the wind the guys on the coast get the advantage and east wind the guys 8 miles inland take the beating . I hope that makes it a little clearer 👍

Ronald I guess that all comes down to motivation, the only time the hens see there boxes is when they have been to a race , we don’t ever let them play in the garden so it’s drummed into them straight home and straight in , one last thing and I don’t know if it makes any difference but we use injured racers for trappers and no fantails , but I guess it’s all desire for there box is the main thing

Well your 100% right the basket is the pedigree, first of all we don’t sell ybs to race as we struggle to breed our own team of ybs , but if you let me know what kind of distance you plan on flying I can certainly recommend some good honest fanciers with winning lines and won’t charge a fortune
