As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualified purchases.
The “New Rich” is a group of people who have realized that living like a millionaire, doesn’t require that one is a millionaire. They’ve also realized that you can live like a millionaire without working your ass off till age 65, building a Fortune 500 company, or consuming millions of annual reports. In this video, I will summarize the (in my opinion) most important takeaways from Tim Ferriss’ The 4-Hour Work Week.
Playlist of books on how to start your first business: bit.ly/391czmD
Top 5 takeaways from The 4-Hour Work Week:
0:00 Intro
01:02 1. The Step-By-Step Process of Joining the New Rich
03:23 2. Relative Income Trumps Absolute Income
05:52 3. How to Be More Productive
08:21 4. Become the Ghost in The Machine
10:21 5. Create Unrestricted Mobility (Even as an Employee)
TL;DW:
- Joining the new rich is a four-step process with the acronym DEAL.
- Relative income beats absolute income once you have enough cashflow to support your dreams
- Be more productive by prioritizing tasks and setting short deadlines. Remember Pareto’s and Parkinson’s law.
- Outsource tasks to multiply yourself and become the ghost in the machine
- Create unrestricted mobility for yourself, so that you can experience everything that the world has to offer.
My goal with this channel is to help you make more money and improve your personal finances. How to become a millionaire? There are many ways to get there - investing in the stock market, becoming a stock trader, doing real estate investing, or why not becoming an entrepreneur? But whether you are interested in how to invest in stocks or investing strategies for creating passive income with rental properties - I hope to be able to provide you with a solution (or at least an idea) here. Warren Buffett - the greatest investor of our time - says that you should fill your mind with competing ideas and then see what makes sense to you. This channel is about filling your mind with those ideas. And in the process - upgrading your money-making toolbox.

As someone who runs an organization remotely, I can attest it will make you feel like a billionaire, even if your income statement doesn't. The really great news is that more people than ever will get to experience that feeling as remote work becomes the norm.

I always tell myself you don’t need that vacation in Paris just yet and that mindset helps me make more money investing. Fore example last year I invested $45,000 in his platform (with the help of mr Jason McQueen) and made $495,000, but guess what? I put it back and traded with him again and now I’m rounding up to million. Hoping to get to 2 in months time.. You can reach him on Instagram @Jason_real.fx

I recently read this book and I am here to tell all of you that this book includes A LOT of helpful information for everyone. Except, it's PRIMARILY focused on employees who typically work in an office environment. Therefore, if you work on a trade say as an auto mechanic, electrician, plumber, landscaper etc., the majority of the solutions provided in this book will be impossible for you to do. The jobs I mentioned physically require you to be there & this book concentrates on automation which means having tasks being taken care of without requiring your presence. Either somebody else does it or... believe it or not, it does itself. (The brilliance of this book.) Now, I will say this though. It's not entirely all about work! There's plenty of philosophy & life advice that will change your perspective on retirement. Seriously, you'll be glad you read it. Conclusion: Read this book regardless of your occupation. It's worth the time & attention!

This is great and all however My concern is this. Once you start doing all that and make less workload for yourself, bosses also start dumping more workload on you because they will think you can handle more since you’re doing great on the current workload. This will be a vicious cycle, how to deal with this? Another thing, what if you work in a startup and don’t have a lot employees, then you don’t have a lot to delegate and also you can’t outsource since it will be considered revealing confidential documents. I’m interested to get some thoughts on this

That is, two years of work by a banker give a return of 12.5 years of work in this method. And those two years are enough to buy an apartment for you and the children. Or invest them wisely and earn even more. Then you will not even have to work 4 hours a week. But you'll do it just or fun :)
