A upkick to the chin can absolutely knock someone out, it's not just for creating distance.

Great video, Stephen. Thank you. That first side kick is not how we practice it in the dojo. First, one might end up in that position because it is preferable to fall on your side for many of us. As a woman my hips are the strongest and fleshiest part of my body and the best way to fall onto a hard surface and avoid a head injury. Breaking a fall on a hard surface with my spindly forearms will mean I am now trying to defend myself with a broken arm. Not arguing one assume this position if already flat on her back. The side kick and this is the finesse part is also meant to be combined WITH A HOOK of the other foot either behind the other knee or behind the other foot of your assailant; even both on the same leg; so you are both pushing and pulling at the same time, creating a lever, engaging a lot of powerful muscles, increasing the strength of the kick and off-setting your assailants balance. Done with speed and practiced strength, even the most weathered shins would feel something. In the very least the assailant will step back to avoid the incredibly uncomfortable feeling of being pulled and pushed in two directions, best case they fall and you have space to regain your footing. ( You should consider a secondary Rumble account)

I had a friend, who was awesome at this. Here! He spent time in Borneo. Turned up in school and, our game. That, was a tag game. Called 'Hit'. We would. Run after each other. Aged about 7 or 8. He was awesome at boxing and fighting. We would tag and run. Tag him. He tagged you back! I was too gentle to knock him out. But, I think he wasn't ! I remember getting in a rage with him. Greer! I am rushing in . He, always. Got me, with the kicks. He moved away. Perhaps to take the high ground. I visited their new home a few times. What's a great play mate. It's a shame I got jealous of his sister. With her, stupid jokes.

Near, Singapore and Malaysia. He, turned up in school and, our game. That, was a tag game. Called 'Hit'. We would. Run after each other. Aged about 7 or 8. He was awesome at boxing and fighting. With his daddy dropping me home, or at the bus stop on his way, to his pilot job They sung: a song, entertaining a belief in the Supernatural!

Also you have to consider your spine being on the concrete or whatever if you keep double stomping too long.

If you’re trying to attack someone on the ground while you’re standing instead of running away, it’s hard to say that’s self defense, which is more the point of this channel. You should ask an MMA coach about that specific aspect of ring/cage fighting.
