11:28 I have to chime in because I am the perfect example of a real North American faster. I’ve been doing this since i was 19yrs old (45 now) after going for breakfast after a night out in the town. Note: when drinking at 2am, “pita pit” is the best!!! Moving forward. Getting up hung over and everyone going out to the restaurant for greasy bacon, eggs and toast. I would barely be able to eat my breakfast. It felt like rubber in my mouth. I would eat all the bacon, and take a couple bites of everything else. Then I noticed I didn’t like eating breakfast after I woke up. It made me more tiered. So I stopped eating breakfast. Then I noticed that lunch made was also making me tiered (this is my early 20’s) and I just wanted to end my day and go home and sleep!!! Not good. Then I had thanksgiving dinner one night and fell asleep on the couch. After waking up. Someone said I had turkey coma??? What??? I figured it was because I was over worked. But no, I found out that certain foods can do that to you, and the others can also make you tired. So now (honestly for 20years) I e been only way 1 meal a day. I’m a contractor and work 9-9, 6 days a week. I eat dinner at 9:30-10:00pm. Walk the dogs. Come home, and in bed by 11:00-12:00. My blood work is amazing they say, and my skin looks a lot younger than 45. I’ve also been a smoker for 25years. Recently quit. Point is…I have all the energy I need from when I wake up to when I eat. I could even go longer. It’s no big deal. I’ve unknowingly been doing an OMAD diet for 25years and now find out it’s actually a good thing. Well my blood work says so, except I am a heavy caffeine drinker. Lots of soda’s. (Pepsi&Coke). Need to get my sugar somewhere. I was 145-150lbs. Now that I quit smoking, I’ve been eating more, working the same, and gaining weight. Also getting older. I went up to my highest weight of 175lbs @ 5’11”. Im down to 165-170. A nice weight I find. Main thing is my blood 🩸 work is awesome. I’m 51% English, 28% North and Western European, 18% Italian, 3% Iberian. I’m gonna live forever!!! Also would like to add that I am an alarm installer of 25years. Physical work, back and forth, up and down stairs, up and down ladders, etc. I get my steps in every day. I don’t run, or jog. I walk my dogs every night unless it’s raining hard. I get at least 7-8 hours of sleep. I use a sleep app. 😊 I smoke marijuana as well!!! My pineal gland is working a bit more than others

My dinners always consist of meat, vegetables (especially potatoes), pasta, spices, salt, pepper, margarine, butter. Not all at once. I hardly ever ever eat fruit. I don’t care for it. Only fruit I like is apple pie/turnovers. Banana bread, and oranges.

Regarding Abruzzo, it's an administrative region in the European Union. There are official statistics by Eurostat, the EU agency, on various aspects by region, including life expectancy. Abruzzo doesn't rank in the top ten. By the way, the EU region with the highest life expectancy is Madrid, Spain, an urban highly populated area where the custom is to have dinner between 9 and 10 in the evening.

Regards CoQ10, the study you've referenced gave the subjects CoQ10 with Selenium, whereas the way you've phrased it in the video suggests Selenium was a separate group. As a side-note, would love some content on worthwhile (and less-so) examples of these sorts of synergistic scenarios with supplements (feel free to use that lovely alliteration!)...so, magnesium and boron, collagen and vit c, zinc and quercetin etc, and also a good opportunity to remind folk to take the fat-solubles when they're taking their fatty meal/s of the day (though I'm sure there could be conflicts in this regard!). Love the content @ThomasDeLauerOfficial

Thomas DeLauer's video on "The 5 Easiest Ways to Improve Longevity WITHOUT Diet or Exercise" explores several strategies to enhance longevity and overall health, focusing on supplementation and lifestyle adjustments. Here’s a summary of the key points from the video: 1. **Coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10)**: DeLauer highlights CoQ10 as a powerful supplement for improving cell function and reducing oxidative stress, which in turn may increase lifespan and quality of life. He cites a study where elderly participants took CoQ10 and selenium, resulting in fewer hospital visits and improved physical and cognitive functions. 2. **Nicotinamide Mononucleotide (NMN)**: DeLauer discusses NMN's role in boosting cellular energy through its precursor relationship to NAD+, a critical molecule for energy production and cellular processes. He references studies showing NMN's potential to delay physical aging effects and improve metabolic health in mice, with emerging human research indicating benefits for insulin sensitivity. 3. **Ginger and 6-Gingerol**: The video mentions ginger's potential to activate endogenous antioxidants like superoxide dismutase and catalase. These antioxidants are crucial for reducing oxidative stress and enhancing longevity, with studies on fruit flies supporting these claims. 4. **Piperine (Black Pepper)**: DeLauer explains how piperine can enhance autophagy, the body’s process of clearing out damaged cells, which could potentially improve longevity. He references studies in rodents where piperine supplementation countered neurotoxic effects and promoted cellular cleanup. 5. **Meal Timing and Fasting**: The video touches on the impact of meal timing and fasting on longevity, inspired by dietary patterns observed in centenarians from Abeto, Italy. DeLauer suggests that eating earlier in the day and fasting for longer periods (around 17 hours) could benefit gut health, insulin sensitivity, and overall caloric management. 6. **Sauna Use**: Finally, DeLauer discusses the health benefits of regular sauna use, including reduced risk of cardiovascular disease, as demonstrated in studies among Finnish populations. He mentions that hot water immersion might offer similar benefits due to the activation of heat shock proteins, which support cellular maintenance and repair.

Great video as always, but I'm a little confused by the data on days out of the hospital in the CoQ10 study. They supposedly followed the subjects for 48 months, so that would be a total of around 1440 days (48 months X 30 days per month). Both of the groups had significantly more days out of the hospital than the total length of the study.
