I want to tell everyone in this situation, Don't blame yourself for your (ex)/spouse behavior. My husband cheated on me multiple times too. I forgave too much and tolerated it for too long and the lying was just insane. Am glad am not in it anymore because I would have lost my mind. I felt depressed and the thought of hardship but am not gonna give up on myself, I was lucky to meet a woman who helped me building the little finance I could get off from the marriage during separation. Now am a single mom with healthy kids, who are enjoying their best life. I remember my ex husband threatening me that I can never make it without him, it's been 18 months. Am glad to prove him wrong !!!

@@steffan683 Her name is Ms Loretta Wilkinson, she helped me in earning passive income through her cryptto trading. Truth is then, I couldn't settle for business. I had to quit my job because I was taking off days, the headache was much, sometimes I overthink and didn't notice I was bleeding some of the times. Remembering makes me tear, I felt pain.

In my case I was the one who was left behind and my soon to be ex is happy and in a new relationship already. I could not sleep well for a couple of weeks until I saw a doctor and got pills few days ago. But I am trying to be more compassionate with myself and stop blaming myself for everything. And just today, I decided to start viewing my divorce as a blessing and told God I trust his actions and plans with me. I believe time will show why certain things happen the way they do...

@@maggie1158 What a small world, Ms Wilkinson helped me out too. the experience has been the best for my finance. She is quite popular for her services so you might have heard of her. So I’ll advise anyone who wants to make an investment for his/her future and for the future of their kids to get a good Investment advisor for yourself.

I have tried to leave my SO for over 15 years we were married for 22 years. I filed 3 different times and got scared and could not handle the torment so I would go back. I am as of yesterday finally free my children are safe and I’m 1300 miles away with a new life and a finalized divorce decree. This process was painful and scary but this time was different I was so ready for peace and just listening to your advice on this entire process took the fear out and between you and Dr Ramani I had the tough realization that I can’t expect this person to act any differently in divorce than they did in marriage. Your “Thank you may I have another” played in my head constantly and it help my mindset change from being extremely reactive to treating this in a very removed transactional way. Thank You!!

It took me about 18 months to get my head straight and understand what had gone on in my relationship. I am a survivor and take pride in that, but I didn't understand covert narcissisism. Once I started to understand the relationship dynamics, I regained control. The anger is hard and so is forgiveness but the reality is you need to come to terms with the anger otherwise your giving them your power and with it control. They want you angry because they like to be the perpetual victim, so if you retaliate your giving them exactly what they want. You need to step away and value your integrity. Don't lower yourself to their level. And it's a very hard pill to swallow, to understand that you allowed this person to abuse you during the relationship and after, if you allow it. The way I dealt with regret was to say, hindsight is s powerful tool but if I were in that position again, given the information I had at the time, I'd have made the same decision. I couldn't beat myself up over it. It is what it is snd the important thing is to learn from it. We all have to grieve, its actually healthy, recognise it for what it is and be grateful you are out and you are free to re-build your life. For me I needed to walk away knowing that I did nothing wrong, even under intense provocation. Look Forward to the day when you can use their decisions and actions to negotiate the divorce settlement. Leverage is key and don't think for one minute they haven't used leverage against you. If you can't achieve forgiveness, then acceptance is the next best thing. Then in time you may come to understand that the forgiveness part sets you free and is for your benefit, not theirs. I think yhis is the part about forgiveness that people get stuck with. Your not letting them off the hook, your setting yourself free.

I : divorced narc, quit drinking (nearly died from withdrawal) went to treatment, met new narc a week after treatment, (she would wake me up to read texts from first narc on MY phone) left her. Crazy narc who had been dating my nephew decided I'm single, and good fit for her, moved into my home without my consent, smashed my big screen tv, toilet, several other items, and stalked me for years. Had her removed by police, numerous times, finally moved. Been alone since August 2014, because I don't trust my choices.

Thank you so much for making this video. I was so extremely angry, livid and furious with my husband last year that I felt like something was wrong with me and I was surprised that he usually didn’t retaliate. He never got angry like my dad who was a raging narcissist. But now I know and probably knew back then that my husband is a different kind of narcissist. I am working through the stages. Right now I am just glad that my husband isn’t as bad as my parents. *sigh* Sidenote: I definitely went through all five of these stages even though I am still married. Maybe this procedure can happen with my family or origin as well? I still have contact with my family of origin but it’s much, much more limited now. I couldn’t cut them off completely.

Religious beliefs kept me locked in for a while. I was the only "practicing Christian" in my family so I was determined to make the marriage work, and I was fooled into believing that I needed to grow more spiritually for the marriage to work (though no one told me what that entailed - pastors I'd reached out to for counseling in that church were totally inept). So when I realized that I was experiencing spiritual as well as other forms of abuse, I put an end to it. This is my second time filing for divorce and since then he’s moved to Florida and he keeps insisting that we should work things out. Even though he’s already moved on with his life. If I go through with it he’s says he’s going to contest the divorce. I’ve wasted so much money on him and this divorce I just want to be done with it already. Trying to take care of myself. My narc became visible via a group event right in front of me & best of a photo proof. It took me about 3 months to blow up. When I did, they tried to gaslight me. " I WOULD NEVER HURT YOU." As they say, a picture is worth a thousand words. Now the hoovering as well as the love bombing have begun. I have learned to not react because of your videos & fb group. Sadly, we share a house for the time being. The threats have begun too. "I'LL TAKE YOU TO THE CLEANERS" . His famous remark is, BUT, WE ARE MARRIED, SO ......" He truly believes that "this entitlemwnt" allows him to be in charge/control of me emotionally, physically, mentally, financially and my family & friends. It took me the event with the photos to wake up, take a serious look, and put myself into protection/build a wall mode. #Iwillsurvive

The first thing I told my lawyer was he doesn't think I'm allowed to get a divorce. She laughed.....but not anymore. She believes him. When you marry a narcissist they believe they own your body and your mind. This means thinking about getting a divorce is not allowed. This also means you go where he allows, when he allows, and no he won't say any of this; he will prove it with his actions. He will cause a fight to stop you from leaving or create an event. You have sex when he says so, or face insult the next time, which is sexual abuse. They use sexual abuse for all kinds of punishment. I'll reiterate they own your body. They will attempt to put you in a mental hospital to keep you married when you try to divorce them. Nothing is yours- if you get away with your 50% they will rob you anyway; they can because you and everything in your life is theirs, including the children. They do not want 50/50 custody they will pretend to agree. Then go behind your back lying, illegally stalking you-using your children and family, surveillance, submit false incriminating evidence to take control of the children. If you get away you go naked. Or else. You will be happy anyway, just to get away.

I TAKE CARE OF MYSELF Actually, it's God who takes care of me. One of many examples: When my narc mother died, everyone around me thought I was crying out of grief, but I was crying out of relief. I spent the next 5 months confused about how I was supposed to feel about my mother's death, and slept all the time. I had to drop out of college to take care of my mother during her last days. I ran out of money, so I needed a job. One day, my husband said that he scheduled a job interview to get me back to living again. I mean I wasn't even looking. I was in bed all the time except to eat. I never even left the house. I went to the interview and it was the easiest interview I ever had. She only asked me one question, she hired me, and hugged me to seal the deal. This was a total stranger! Lol. I still have the job to this day after 17 years.

I would be careful not to “blah blah blah” it away although I do agree we need to stop ourselves from going down the “rabbit hole”. Please remember you were never married to a narcissist and yes, that makes a BIG difference. Marriage is the most vulnerable abs intimate relationship you can have and there are vows that are spoken that say, “through good and through bad, in sickness abs in health….forever until death we do part”. And then when children are involved well enough said. You feel like you have failed

Locked me out of my house and put cameras up within days of leaving, I was afraid of him and his family. Thank God for the law and for attorneys who know their stuff. When I left he said I should just walk away from 20 plus years of my investment, then said, “I think we can work this out…” my reply; if 20 plus years has shown us anything it’s clear that’s not possible, then they were going to make me pay via stalking…. I hate being a narcissist I losing my wife I want change and get help for it I hurt her so bad now I hurt. Im will to change I because she is the love of my life I understand what I was doing and changed in how u would treat her now. I read the bible and have a relationship with the heavenly father. I feel set free from control her. I know now that in a relationship that you need unconditional love meaning that no matter what happens to her you stick by her side will to our her needs above yours. Lifting her up when she is down in courage her and motive her it isn't about you any more it is about the both of you and trying to bring out the best in each other not to use her or bring her down. A lot of is I lacked self confidence and hated my self all the time. She us still her in under the same roof but doesn't say any thing to me. I try to show how much progress I have made but it doesn't matter to it is to late. It hurts me just as much as she hurt because we are of one flesh and we make whole and when one hurt you both feel and share the hurt. I sorry my love. It is going to be hard for me but I will always love and I hope and pray for the best for you. My yahweh bless you path and protect you as you go in life my you bountiful in everything you do. Also lift you up from here on out. I have truly change in my heart. I pierced her so bad that I'm scared to have anyone else now. I can hurt anyone any more so I will never love again. I not saying this to get her back because I want what makes her happy and in return I will be happy. I wish you the best forever. Tip: If you’re dealing with a covert narcissist, there’s hope. Here’s why: Because covert narcissists are very protective/obsessed of their image, they may be willing to fold a little, as it pertains to the settlement, why? My problem: I have a lot of empathy for people. Her in particular. My overactive imagination casts visions of her crying, feeling alone and rejected. In a weakened state. My 5 year role has been to protect and love her. It’s hard to do this. I’m not bargaining anymore. I did that for the last couple of months. Our marriage is definitely over; but neither of us were ready to admit it. So sad to write this out. I had plans. My wife has mental hang ups from years, prior to me. I often felt like I was either living in the shadow of an ex, or being punished for their sins. I know she’s carrying these chains. I love her very much. I care for her well-being. I would do nearly anything for her. However, I can no longer watch my self-respect sink into oblivion. I have been patiently giving her intimate space, which has resulted in the previous two years being platonic. No spark. I just told her yesterday, that I want a divorce. It was a civil conversation.
