In the last video of my series with @NakedandFamousDenim , the brand's CEO and founder walks us through the weirdest jeans his brand has ever produced, and this is a company known for making some seriously weird jeans that include but are not limited to scratch 'n' sniff, glow in the dark, milk jeans, and more.

I know N&F have kind of a dual reputation for making the super gonzo, weirdo stuff, and also for being kind of like "starter" raw denim, but man, the quality is seriously great for the price point. Wearing a pair of N&F x Massdrop ichibans right now that have worn in so, so nicely.

Yeah they just have that economy of scale that it's all quite affordable, even though the fabric is Japanese and they're made in North America. Really crazy that they have this price point

@@Stridewise Not to mention that with the Easy Guy they actually have a fit I can get this booty into, unlike their competitors at Gustin and Bravestar, which seem designed for people Hank Hill butts.

I just recently got two pairs of N&F for deep discounts on eBay, one in Super Guy and one Weird Guy. Thank God the Super Guy pair is stretch, or I never would have gotten my powerlifter thighs into it. The Weird Guy fit great, but I do want to grab a pair of Easy Guy to see if they're even better. The Weird Guy have that perfect cuff opening where they fit over the shafts of my western boots, but also look good stacked or cuffed over my Woobie Mod 1 canvas sneakers and my Thursday Captains. And using my normal big box jeans size (34), I can comfortably carry a Glock 19 in an inside the waistband holster at 4 o'clock. Very important!

@@_bats_ Oh and as much as I love my Brave Star jeans, even the True Straight is tight as hell on my ass and thighs. At some point I'll try a pair a size up to see if there's more room for the junk in my trunk.

Seriously best denim brand ever! They're the only clothes brand I bought from in the past year since my wardrobe is already completed. Now I'm just looking for weird and unique stuff from time to time.

@@And-zo8jn Super Guy is their slim taper fit. Weird Guy is their lightly tapered fit. This cannot be stressed enough, please use their measurement guide on each of their product pages. The number sizing can vary for each fabric type and production lot.

whaaa been on the lookout for the raspberry scent jeans since i heard about them and never scored, just gave up on that but thought there might be other stuff im missing so i ended up here. im more of a fashionable dior, slp denim kinda guy but really like the wash you get on stuff like true indigo raws that im usually not a fan of. Will buy a pair of the new scratch and sniff for sure.

I love N&F! I now own 30 pairs...15 for Fall/Winter and 15 for Spring/Summer. I agree, like most people, the Weird Guy is a good fit for me. Some of my favorite pairs are their custom denim fabrics like Kimono print, Rainbow Core, Kevlar, Milk and their 24K gold yarns-which I picked up at BlueOwl in Seattle and TATE&YOKO online. Personally, since I can rotate them every two weeks each season, I only wash them once a year without the "musty" problem. ;)

@@mbwanamagoro6559 i know... 👅 but to be fair I started back in 2015 with the kevlar denim and slowly built up to 30. 😉 Also, my sizes have changed during covid, so some of those pairs are too baggy for me now 👅

When I'm in a t-shirt, brass boot, in a button down, ottawa. i love my ottawas extra because they're kangaroo leather ! I don't have the brass boots in black I have them in saddle tan. Both tremendous boots, it's just one is casual and one is smart casual

@@Stridewise I saw those on the website. However, those are gimmicky imo as its just the buttons or the leather back has the cool styling on it. I'm most interested in the color or features such as the chromatic heat (Which is WILD. Also kinda a gimmick, but at least EXTREMELY unique)

@@yme3267 You would be surprised how long and difficult the process is. Not only do you have to negotiate and get approval with the rights holder for every little detail. You also have to create a fabric type that hasn't been released yet. Then you have to convince the traditional mills, weavers, and yarn makers to create a custom fabric for you. Most brands just purchase stock fabric from the mills' catalogue, write a long paragraph of marketing BS, then call it a day.

@@yme3267 no they typically have a special fabric. Such as matrix they use a faux leather dye over, the Rick and morty they had a calico green warp which was very difficult to do. For naked and famous their treasures are at their dyes. I just bought a pair of crimson sky because the idea of an indigo over dye that makes the jeans look black AND a red weft sounds sick as F. If only the thread core is also red so the jeans would fade to red like their red core jeans they had before that’d be super awesome! But I don’t think they make those anymore and they never made them for women and that’s too bad. For N and F you are Really lucky if you are a dude

I appreciate the weird ideas and dedication to construct things no one else would do. From the perspective of wearing denim everyday though, I am not a huge fan of the concept and prefer Japanese denims such as IH and Samurai. They will be more subtle and impress me with construction details and a very simple beauty. Also, "...the most important and most impactful and influential denim company in the world of selvedge denim...": that IMHO is a slight bit over the top.

What’s the difference? I’m genuinely curious. Naked and famous has plenty of basic jeans that would look like any really well constructed pair of raws. Why are the Japanese brands so special I never got it.

@@luceafarul579 examples of differences between N&F to some of the Japanese denim brands would be hidden back pocket rivets, raised belt loops, tucked belt loops, two piece waist bands, taking the time to cut fabrics so they match exactly the size of the pattern (the back pockets for example- so they don’t get the extra fabric fade), etc…

I will never buy Naked and Famous again. Their website directs you to their affiliate Tate and Yoko (Tate) to purchase the jeans. Tate does not permit refunds only store credit. Fine. But here is the catch - you can only exchange within 21 days of “fulfillment”. They don’t define the term. For me, fulfillment occurred before they ever shipped the jeans. I called within two days of receiving the jeans and was told they had to shipped back within two days. I couldn’t ship them back within that short period because of work. I donated them to Goodwill. Shame on Naked and Famous for this sharp business practice.

Checked the site link .. he said 100% cashmere but when you find them on the site it’s 88% cotton and 10% cashmere. These are cotton with a little cashmere. Maybe my math is wrong but doesn’t 100% mean the whole thing 😂 wild claim

You can always take it off. They have diff patches on some of their other releases. I think the Chinese new year has animals and collaborations have their associated theme.
