We have a new Cyclamen. It’s just a little one but it dries out fast! I looked at it today and all the flowers were on the windowsill😱 After a drink it is fully recovered and standing straight. The nursery pot is maybe 3-4 inches and it dries out every other day. Is it ok to change the medium? I recall you saying to not pot up Cyclamen but repot at same size.

I really don't tend to buy the 'minis' any more - simply because I can never get them through a dormancy. I suspect that the minis are really too immature to bloom naturally - without perfect conditions and no doubt the help of some chemicals. In terms of repotting, you can up-pot it once it starts into dormancy, or you could even try doing it now - just for the sake of retaining moisture - but only go one size up. Another option is to place it on some capillary matting in the saucer underneath - make sure there's no drainage at the bottom of the pot - I like to put some moss down there - so then you can add water to the matting, which will retain moisture for longer so you don't have to water as much. Always go for as big a tuber as you can find when you buy - they're much easier to look after and of course you can keep them for years. Good luck!

Good tip to never pour the water right next to the plant's stem, avoids stem rot.

Very true! And tubers like Cyclamen can accumulate water in the cracks in their surface with the same result.

"leave the ice cubes for your gin and tonic" sacrilege! A G&T should not have ice in it, just waters it down. You start with tonic from the fridge and gin from the freezer.

Derrr it does not rain ice cubes…especially on tropical plants😱. Good video, I do need to check my plants at least twice a week, will note that on the calendar. One thing I actually noticed helps my plants is adding Epsom salt to the water along with a bit of hydrogen peroxide. Now I just need to work on giving it to them! 🤣🪴
