@@librarium40k It is still very possible he is not even a traitor and he is not known to be a chaos follower as far as I know even though he works with anyone to reach his unknown goals. I am very far behind on lore and this is from old memory so take it with a pinch of salt. He could be a daemon prince by now for all I know but I doubt it. Something about holding his special sword of the lion he never uses but always carries. Either way he is definitely not a chaos space marine.

@@richbob9155 Cypher is very much loyal to the Emperor otherwise he wouldn't have walked away when there was only one (massive) door between him and the Emperor incased on the golden throne. Just because a dying custodian told him he had a vision and in it there was a message for him. "Things have changed, not yet" and Cypher just walked away.

So much of these "new" Warhammer lore channels don't seem to know the differences between Chaos-, Traitor- and Renegade space marines. There are so much reoccurring mistakes on these channels that it's hard to believe that they actually read the books themselves, I completely understand not knowing every little piece of lore or some changes that are in the newest books I have an ever expanding backlog myself

The only things that make Abadon and Lucious ultra powerful is plot armor that is so over powered that it often contradicts the actual lore.

Marduk should make the list. He appears in the Horus Heresy series early on before he shows up in the Dark Disciple and Dark Apostle books.

Typhus was formerly Typhon who was a first captain of the Death Guard Legion. You could argue that his depictions in lore start right around the time that the Death Guard go traitor (i.e. The Flight of the Eisenstein) but he was a marine in a loyal chapter before the Horus Heresy, so his character was presumably loyal at one time.

I'd probably have put Iskandar Khayon right after Abaddon, personally. I agree with many that he's a Mary Sue, but pretty sure he's got the most busted feats in canon novelization out of any non-primarch chaos character, having a deck of playing cards that each represent bound daemons(including a bloodthirster,) and has literally destroyed a planet from orbit. Abaddon on top makes sense, since he's pretty much always as powerful as he needs to be, as per the whims of the Gods themselves. Then Ahriman right after that, above Khârn and Lucius. Sorcerers are just OP in the written lore. Huron is my favorite character, for sure, but I agree that he'd be near the bottom if even on the list in terms of 1v1 fighting capacity. His power is that of a mastermind general, not a chaos-juiced duellist. Pretty much any named or unnamed chaos marine who's ascended to a daemon prince could rank above most of the list, too, which would still technically be a marine character. Difficult to gauge them since individual princes vary in power so much.

The problem is that it’s Abaddons Hax, position and equipment that makes him powerful, not his abilities, talents, intelligence or skills.

He wasn't exactly given those things willy nilly and to have remained the number 1 for 10k years despite being surrounded by treacherous murderers means who only respect strength means he is an absolute monster I love clowning on abbadon as much as the next guy but claiming it's just hax is just flat out wrong
