Drew - my dad is 94 and traveled during the 40s and 50s while in the Navy and afterwards while he was single. He has some interesting stories too. My favorites are about being in China after WWII and going to the 1952 World Series in NY. He bought his tickets from a NY sports writer. He saw all the games. Seeing your 99 year old man and his struggles with his keys and hearing reminds me of my dad right now. Oddly, this video has helped me remember I need to have more patience with my dad. Thank you a lot. Great video that has made a positive impact on my life with my dad...having patience, speaking slowly and loudly, being kind to the elderly - all important things to remember...Thanks Drew

Wierd, right? This man met the King Of Afghanistan and Drew saw the King's tomb few weeks ago. Also this man is one of the last person to see a happy Afghanistan.

What an absolute gem of a man. And his mind is still so sharp, his voice clear. Someone - Drew himself, Gabriel Traveler, Nomadic Matt, someone who understands travel, needs to do a full interview with Vincente, hear his stories first hand. I would gladly put money into a Go Fund Me for a book on his travels.

I had a feeling he was Jewish the second he spoke 😂 and when he said he was from Brooklyn I was 100% sure 😂😂

My grandpa is 86 and he has been to 77 countries, he used to be the captain in some of the largest petroleum transport ships, now he lives in Greece.
