I was told once by a very wise old lady that all you need is good topsoil, a little manure, and a fish like the native Americans used to do. She said you get plenty of the minerals the tree needs to grow as the fish rots.

Pretty cool; l learned a lot from your hands on presentation on how to go about planting a fruit tree for optimum health. I was very impressed with the media recipe and especially the practical use of the larger rock to anchor the tree roots and help them to spread out. 😉 And the rule of thumb 👍 about placing the tree plant graft mark facing in a westward direction. And to khow this is how our ancestors planted trees over a century ago speaks volumes about the rich knowledge they had acquired and continues to being passed down for generations to come! Thank you!!+

It's been more than 5 years now. Any update on these trees you planted with EGW method? Any noticeable differences from normally planted trees?

I see this video is 5 years old. Is there a follow up video to show how the tree is doing? How old was the tree when it was planted? How old was it when it started fruiting?

I couldn't find anything about Ian Jones or his studies on electrical properties of rocks.. any suggestions?

Lynn Hoag does not put the air tube or tubes till after the first dirt layer and rock layer now. Also, he does test the soil so has told us not to put wood chips. Composting too much on our soil has upset a balance. He sells a tree planting kit per our soil tested needs.

New sub, love your vids. I'm about to transfer a potted lemon tree to my front yard, so this is perfect! It's been in a pot for a year, the tree is about the same size as yours but leaves and fruiting, relatively healthy, but the pot it's coming from is significantly bigger than the one in this video, so the roots are more established. I'm assuming this method will still work for a maturer tree?

Have a Meyer lemon tree in a pot from HD a year ago , will use this method to plant it soon in mid west Ga , hope it does well as I don’t find direct links for it
