I feel like Sol was redeemed in this episode. He killed a witch, sure, but he did so with the best of intentions. 😂 If a witch pulled that stunt in front of me I’d pull my saber and go a hackin’ as well. Silly woman only had herself to blame. What was she thinking?! Torbin though, jeez. Mog, Torbin, and the morbidly obese Jedi we saw in an earlier episode make me wonder what is going wrong with the Jedi training of these youngsters. And the witches have the worst safety measures in the galaxy. When the wiring caught fire there wasn’t a trip switch, smoke alarm, or sprinkler system in sight to contain things. Can The Acolyte stick the landing next week? Will we learn more about Smilo-Ren (the best character in the show) and his connection to Mae, his agenda, backstory, and ultimate goal? And just what are that little fury guy’s pronouns and does he even give crap? If KK does greenlight a second season, I hope it focuses on the Sith more next time, it’s what I thought I was going to get this time around.

Imperfect Jedi are far more interesting than perfect Space Cops who never do anything wrong.

@27:40 it's funny that you mentioned James Bond. That's what I think the song during the credits sounded like. It sounded like it belonged at the end of a James Bond movie.

I really disliked that a lot of this episode was reused clips from episode 3. Don't like the witches. But one thing this show has done right is the lightsaber fighting.

As far as recovering from a lightsaber wound it would seem that medical attention availability could be a big part of surviving a lightsaber infliction. Most of the time when we see somebody is hit with a lightsaber there's no medical attention coming to help them. Other people who have survived were able to receive help soon enough to save their lives.

Your after shows are better than the real show!

Love your show guys! I look forward to this show every week as much as to the new episodes, and I love 'The Acolyte'. However ... I understand your critic about this 'morally grey Star Wars' in the sense that such grey characters can be harder to fully emphasize with. I agree with that. All the same, I still disagree that this Star Wars (this time period) should be more black and white. A wise Jedi once said: "Only a Sith deals in absolutes." Therefore, a yearning for a black and white Star Wars universe is yearning for a universe where the Sith reign supreme and evil unfolds itself indiscriminately aka. the original trilogy (which I love too, duh!). When evil isn't as black as under the Empire the white can't shine as bright in comparison, because the good can't fight with all its might and lay it all on the line, when the stakes are less - such a reaction of the good would seem unproportional and foolish rather than justified and actually good. Maybe lack of REAL evil is a problem in the storytelling in general, but I personally really do enjoy the mystery approach of this series.

The sequel trilogy is like the Godfather trilogy in comparison to this ****. I hope we get back to the movies asap, because even the worst Star Wars movie is 100 better than this. That pop song at the end was horrible. HORRIBLE!!!

This is the product of hiring people who not only have no SW experience, but have little to no writing experience. Kathy, Hedland, and the actresses are so concerned with checking boxes (which in theory is fine that you want a diverse cast and story, if it’s executed correctly) than a good story.

Are we really comparing TCW's quality with the acolyte? What the hell... Jimmy, it's not about being snob or not, Lucas's Star Wars is THE Star Wars.

I enjoy listening until you refer to the witches as "broads". This "broad" saw Star Wars 13 times in the theater in 1977. Princess Leia would not approve. Thank you for the consideration
