I do not have a problem with alternate force religions/ideologies. That is a decent part of the EU. You have groups like the Night Sisters and the Aing-Tii who see the force differently. George named Luke Skywalker after himself (Lucas = Luke), and Darth Vader being Luke's father was about George's issues with his father. But in reality, George Lucas was Anakin Skywalker (doing some not-so-good things from 1997 on), and he became Darth Vader when he sold Star Wars to Disney. Vader was originally a lackey for the Empire, and that's what George is now for Disney.
