After burying one of their own, tempers flare as the castaways' suspicions of each other grow -- and an unlikely survivor vows revenge. Meanwhile, Claire and Charlie struggle to calm her newborn.
The survivors of a plane crash are forced to work together in order to survive on a seemingly deserted tropical island.
Lost is an American science fiction adventure drama television series created by Jeffrey Lieber, J. J. Abrams, and Damon Lindelof that aired on ABC from September 22, 2004, to May 23, 2010, over six seasons and 121 episodes. It contains elements of supernatural fiction, and follows the survivors of a commercial jet airliner flying between Sydney and Los Angeles, after the plane crashes on a mysterious island somewhere in the South Pacific Ocean. Episodes typically feature a primary storyline set on the island, augmented by flashback or flashforward sequences which provide additional insight into the involved characters.
Lindelof and Carlton Cuse served as showrunners and are executive producers along with Abrams and Bryan Burk. Inspired by the 2000 Tom Hanks film Cast Away,[1] the show is told in a heavily serialized manner. Due to its large ensemble cast and the cost of filming primarily on location in Oahu, Hawaii, the series was one of the most expensive on television, with the pilot alone costing over $14 million.[2] The fictional universe and mythology of Lost were expanded upon by a number of related media-most importantly a series of mini-episodes called Missing Pieces; and a 12-minute epilogue, "The New Man in Charge".
Lost has regularly been ranked by critics as one of the greatest television series of all time.[3][4][5] The first season had an estimated average of 16 million viewers per episode on ABC.[6] During its sixth and final season, the show averaged over 11 million U.S. viewers per episode. Lost was the recipient of hundreds of industry award nominations throughout its run and won numerous of these awards, including the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Drama Series in 2005,[7] Best American Import at the British Academy Television Awards in 2005, the Golden Globe Award for Best Television Series - Drama in 2006, and the Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series.

I remind you John Locke told several times to Boon to live the plane, Boone didn't listen, he wanted to stay, until the crash... Locke couldn't walk, remember ? He couldn't do anything, the island did something to his legs for Boon to go rather than him

Great catch, saying Walt was friends with Boone (or at least knew him pretty well) because they both hung around with Locke. Can't believe that has never occurred to me before! Fantastic reaction 😍

One reason Locke might have lied/omitted info about the plane is he knows that leads to either crazy-sounding truth (I got a vision of the plane and info about Boone's childhood I couldn't have known, I was paralyzed before but magically got my legs back here; but then they stopped working at key points to find a dead body, they started working again and then stopped right where I could see the plane, but I couldn't climb up; but after Boone fell, they magically started working again) which people will probably assume you're lying about, or otherwise more questions and more lies, like we see here.

I didn't want to say it earlier in the season, but Shannon's one of my favourite characters on the show (definitely top ten). She and Sun develop so far from where they started.

Ha ha, Jack can be a little unhinged sometimes, lol. Shannon went a little nuts there too for a bit. All of Sayid's flashbacks are pretty intense. Can't wait to see your reactions closing out Season 1!

Also, it can be argued he was SUPPOSED to die, or at least 'that's what the Island wanted.' The show never explicitly explains a lot of things, but IMO that's why Locke got the vision/had his legs stop working at key points to finding the plane. Why? Because of the results from Locke banging on the hatch and the light turning on...all the specifics revealed way down the line of course.

One the great things for viewers about Sayid learning that Locke had knocked him out is that it showed viewers that mysteries on LOST do get answers eventually. Even if it does take a couple of future episodes. Or in some cases, future seasons. As the saying goes, patience comes to those who wait. And with Lost, you need lots of patience. Interestingly enough, the terrorist planners were playing the FPS video game, "Half-"Life". If you've played the game, you might note a curious connection between it, and the entire narrative of Lost. I've played both Half-Life and Half-Life 2. They were great first person shooters from 20 years ago. Speaking of video games, I often thought that the Island in Lost would have been much cooler if had looked like the Island in the 2013 "Tomb Raider" video game where Lara Croft had been stranded, with its numerous shipwrecks, and abandoned WWII Japanese bunkers. And like Lost, it too also had a radio tower. But one that Lara actually had to climb to the top of to get a radio signal out. However the Island in Lost has its own peculiar historical charms.....

I watched"The Wilds"in French(even though I'm Italian...I don't know why I did it..I wanted to experiment,I guess!😅and even though I know the characters are American I think that language suits them all the best(and I can't stand French so it's not even because it's a language that I like!Absolutely not!But _on them_ it sounds perfect for some reason)!

I got WAY pickier about the shows I watched after LOST. The first season was spectacular, but by the time the 4th episode of Season 2 rolled around, I found myself going "I'm sorry, WHAT?" way too often. I immediately stopped watching when I saw an interview with the producers who admitted they never expected the show to get picked up, had no idea where they were going with the story and were making it up as they went along. I was actually very surprised that it took until about season 5 before the backlash against the show started. I caught on that it made ZERO sense right away.

SPOILER season 5 is like the best season lol some people just don't get it and are too impatient and need everything spelled out for them LOST treated you like you could actually pay attention remember and connect dots, people were still saying they never answered why polar bears are on the Island by season 6 because they didn't pay attention that the Dharma Initiative used them for experiments which is shown plenty of times. People said they never answered why pregnant women die because they never spell it out, but it's perfectly obvious that it was because of the incident if you pay attention. There are many examples of this.

It's much more difficult to make a story coherent as the series progresses, as the writers have done, than to write a story from start to finish before putting it into pictures. So, it would be better to congratulate the authors for their fantastic work than to criticize the scenario. LOST is perfect in my opinion and the problem of those who didn't understand it or were too lazy to try is with themselves and not with the work.😊
