Omg the fabulous 50s I was born in 1970, but my mom, dad, aunt Barbara and aunt Pat brought me up on this music. Barbara and Pat are passed on now, watching that big oldies concert in heaven. Aunt Barbara, Aunt Pat, thank you so very much for bringing up on this music, I cry and think of you both everytime I hear this wonderful music. Thank you both for the wonderful and beautiful memories, I will cherish them forever. RIP I'll see you soon, your Nephew Mark.❤️❤️❤️❤️😘🌹

I know how you feel. This music is part of me; my older sister is an doo whopper! And one of my cousin, is younger than me, yet he remembers the dop wop music or as we say 'the music ', my sister, introduced him to 'the music ' forever more!

All of these artist, especially the backup singers are giving everything they have. To say their performance is so so, is not recognizing all of the practice and effort it takes to put forth such a performance.

Emilio Sanchez Their performance is so so.i recognize all of the practice and effort it takes to put forth a performance. If they put in the work and all they could come up with is THIS? Shows a lack of talent to me.

The first song "Tonight Could Be The Night" really good in every way. Next, the three Japanese Girls "Mr. Lee" are amazing and astounding - about 99% the same as the Bobettes of long ago. After that their "Zoom" by the Cadillacs almost as good. Wow! As for the rest, I can applaud their enthusiasm but, imho, only so-so.

The Four candles do a wonderful job(although I miss their female associate when they were the "Velvet Candles")They're a fine representation of the wonderful doo-wop renaissance taking place in Spain today among young people .The Asian group did a stellar version of the old Bobettes hit"Mr Lee" and a credible performance of the old Cadillac song"Zoom". Peter Sandberg did a cool Rock-a billie tribute with the "Mostest Girl" Marla Marvel did a nice soulful version of"I say".Patrick Ouchene was very flat on his lead effort on "Come Go With Me", despite fine backing by the 4 Candles. The Crystal Dawn lead on the Channels' "Bye bye Baby" was fair but certainly no Earl Lewis.Bobby Wislon looks exactly like his late Dad, the great stage performer and singer,Jackie Wilson.He also sounds like Jackie, but he couldn't dancelike his dad(but no one else could either, not even Michael Jackson!)

Tell me one more time how badly u dislike that lead singer! Just for good measure! Lol
@diegoarmandosanchez2 жыл бұрын
The dude singing lead on "Come go with me" sings like the typical wannabe singer in the crowd who thinks a musical performance equals open mic night. To top it off, he didn't even know the lyrics smh wtf is "yes i never, yes i really never" 😂
@mal44453 жыл бұрын
Guys. I worked with Krio Johnson and Norm Wright of the Dell Vikings for several years. They have just rolled over in their graves. This was possibly the worst version of Come Go With Me I have ever heard. The singer was an insult to a classic Doo Wop standard.
@cjohnson72513 жыл бұрын
mal4445 There are so many people that do not know what a great performance is. One of the things that make a good critic is knowing how good something is and how bad something is.
@cjohnson72513 жыл бұрын
mal4445 You are correct. This is a terrible version and performance of this song. Is this open mic night at this club? There has to be a lot of relatives of the singers(?) in the audience and comment section. Watching this performance is like watching a train wreck.
@Tom-gv2eo10 ай бұрын
BYe bye Baby was sung by The Channels, from Harlem in 1959? The Roommates did a faster version of Come gowith Me, with few altered words & no 'sax interlude.

Doubt he's his son (do the math). When he appeared on Showtime at the Apollo his name was Bobby Brooks Hamilton.

The singer (I use that term loosely) singing Come Go With Me is horrendously flat on many words.............is it just me? Nawwwwwwwww....it's not. He wouldn't get one vote on The Voice.
