If this was the plot of the second film, I would have enjoyed it so much more.

I really enjoyed this game. The hidden lore, the costumes, the subtle animations. This one of the only games to acknowledge the web shooters in any capacity. The default costume for the game has an added utility belt which is supposed to carry extra cartridges. Spider-Man will often reach towards the belt to reload after swinging or shooting. I also really liked the dlc for this game. It was mostly mini games but they were still enjoyable. They were all accompanied by a leaderboard so players could compete. The means for getting costumes was such an interesting idea. The game really pushed the camera function. All I ever do while playing the game is document every crime I stop. Personally, I think TASM has the best combat out of all its predecessors. Only the psx games allowed players to end fights without touching anyone. I'd often web everyone up and swing away (if I were in an mcu mood).

For me, the game's story is the true Amazing Spider-Man 2 Movie, which shows a unique story that ties in perfectly with the movie, including the Character Bios, Vermin creating took place during the amazing spider-mam movie final fight, Rhino was actually a Human, amd Scorpion has the Symbiote I love how the story shows how overpowered he really is compared to the movie, The S-O3 fight truly opened my eyes on how Peter makes use of his powers Amd the Connee story ending with the Farewell Peter Audio

When that worm-like robot came out of the building, I swear, the visual of Perfect Chaos coming out of the building in a cutscene of Sonic Adventure entered my mind

Interesting to see how Video-Game Movie Tie In's stopped becoming a thing after a few years. Back in the day, every big blockbuster had their own video game Tie-in, Even the Shrek Movies for God Sake. Nobody really talks about how this genre of gaming gradually disappeared. Maybe because they felt like shallow cash grabs, and were often rushed to sync up with the movies release, and those games weren't always great, but its interesting to think that the genere of Tie-In Games fell the way it did.

This game was fucking great. Had a great story too. The definitive sequel to TASM1 in my eyes.

The plot of this game with the virus spreading globally throughout the city reminds me of what we are currently going through with Covid-19.

You forgot to talk about the suits and the way you get them, but it was very good anyway, in 2012 this game surprised me a LOT, one of the bests.

I remember when I was younger I was scrolling through the vita store and since my mom's credit card was saved on it I just saw it as free games and bought a bunch of games as well as Spider-man because I really wanted it. It was so much fun and finishing the game now is even more fun knowing I can fully appreciate it now. Sure graphics can be called potato on the vita (it's a portable guys i can play it on the bus) but once you start playing it for a bit, even now for me at least, it looks just fine and the game is so fast and fluid you never really tend to think much of it.

basically the story is: "Spider-Man vs Robotic Kaijus and sickness that transform you into a furry monster"

you didnt even talk about how collecting comic pages unlocks some of the og comics... its how i got into comics in the first place

I really wish they implemented the suit tears and a close camera toggle in the new games, its nice to see details in action

this is crazy, this is one of the first games i ever played and actually finished, i was a little kid so i was super confused about games. I never once defeated the mission after the tutorial mission in spiderman 3 for the wii (the version i played on), after the first spiderman game i played when we still had the original xbox, the swinging was a huge step up, i never played spiderman 2 until a few weeks ago. I would just swing around for hours and hours and never stop and that's all i did, looking back, that was definitely really stupid. But the amazing spider man was such a huge step up from the swinging in three. Now i played it once i was getting better at games and actually playing them. I just got my xbox 360 and i immediately wanted a spiderman game, so of course i went for the one i had already played so much on the wii, spiderman three, i thought it was a completely different game for some reason, but then after that i got this game, i had such a blast and it was at the time the most fun i'd had since minecraft and pvz garden warfare. It was, i think, the first game i had ever finished. I remember most of the beginning stuff and how amazed i was at the swinging and graphics but the sad thing is, i don't remember anything you said in this video after the tutorial stuff. I remember finishing the game and swinging around for a bit then restarting to do a more difficult level, ultimutely sucking at it and failing, and giving up and never picking the game back up again. I picked up two when it came out and since i was still young i couldnt get past one of the stealth missions because i did the same strategy over and over again failing evey time, and sold it. What a fucking waste of sperm i am. anyways, in conclusion get this game, dont get three, and i was a dumb child. Also don't write a long comment idk why i said this shit but aye, im not deleting it.

TASM game is one of the most underrated Spider Man games. I thought it was a nice return to the open world stye Spider Man games back in 2012 after having 2 mission based Spider Man games (I loved Shattered Dimensions) and for its time, the graphics were solid.

I liked this game, my only gripes are web swinging from clouds and the lack of actor likenesses.

I liked TASM game on the first playthrough, when it was a new story and such, but I can't replay the game without feeling... weird. Like that's an odd way to describe my feelings towards the game, but I feel weird playing TASM, kind of sickly. The over all gameplay is fine in most areas like web rush, the story is good, but the characters were annoying, I hated the voice actor and the dialouge Spidey got for the majority of the game. And the way the game looks just turns me off, I think it's the ugliest coloured game in the Spider-Man franchise. Also, I never liked the combat in TASM games, I always felt slow and unexcited during fights. The web swinging to me wasn't bad, just very boring. While web rush was cool to look at it became less impressive the more you used it. I do like this game, but in small doses. Very small doses. Then the sequel was god awful.
