Definitely. People just seem to get confused between the actor’s performance and the script performance in bad movies. Andrew is by far the most underrated actor in my eyes but the script in this movie was off. But I still loved the overall tone of it and the way they pulled it off nonetheless. I can really relate to this Peter which is probably the biggest reason why I adore this film so much. ♥️

This dude literally look on a whole swat team without hurting them, and even snapped a gun in half like it was a cookie. This version shows how dangerous and powerful Spider-Man is. Capable of snapping a high-tech gun in half with ease.

It’s insane to me how Andrew’s spidey took down an entire swat team while managing to hide his face by looking down. Total badass and menacing which I completely adore. The director and the staff are so underrated.

This is what Tom Holland's Spider-Man is missing. He may have the attitude but MCU haven't showcased how dangerous Spider-Man really is, Andrew just took on a SWAT team in mere seconds and he could've killed them if he wanted to. MCU just put a dirt on Spider-Man's character by making him dependent and basically an Iron Man Jr. Edit: just watched No Way Home and I declare this comment as outdated

I’ve seen this criticism so many times and it still doesn’t make sense, yes spidey is supposed to crack a few here and there but that doesn’t make the character. When it comes to Spider-Man, he should be judged for how the character is not whether he has web shooters or cracks jokes.

@@coeydoo4397 I think they mean in terms of personality, looks, and how some of the events that take place in his movies VERY LOOSELY follow some of the comics, he's only considered more accurate than tom because tom was basically iron mans apprentice for most of his time, and tobey had organic webbing, Andrew is only deemed "accurate" for his characteristics, though Yuri Lowenthal (ps4 spider-man) is still the best

Yeah the editing is all over the place, no need for that many camera angles, should've kept it to about 5 shots maximum, you can barely see what's happening to the first guy.

Andrew Garfield was to Spider-Man what Brandon Routh was to Superman. Both were accurate and underrated versions of the character who deserved another chance and better material. Garfield was sandwiched in between fan favorites like Maguire and Holland, and Routh was sandwiched in between fan favorites like Reeves and Cavill. But that doesn’t mean they were bad, it just means they weren’t utilized to their full potential because they could’ve been as popular as them!

Guys let's just forget about the competition between all the film versions of Spiderman. Let's just appreciate the fact that all of them tried to bring one of the best superheros to life for us. I like Tobey because he was the spiderman I grew up with and watched the most. I like Garfield because he was a pretty neat Spiderman. And I like Holland because he showcases Spiderman's interactions with other Marvel superheros, such as Iron Man and Captain America. All of these versions are wonderful in their own right. I will watch all of them because I like Spiderman.

2:00 I maybe wrong here but I love how this is a struggle for Peter to reveal his identity to Captain Stacy. He doesn't want anyone else to get hurt or get in danger because of him. I also love how his identity was handled in these movies, he barely told anyone, the only people he actually told was Gwen and the boy on the bridge. Yes people found out but not because he told them. This movie is so much better than I remember.

I love the accentuation of the pulse of the taser. That’s why i love Garfield, the attention to detail. Another good example is the way he twitches his head at the spider sense like it’s involuntary

I miss when Peter Parker was more independent. Now he’s got tony stark and others guiding him. Not that that’s bad. It just added more depth to the character when he worked alone.

Maria lwom spidey has had help from a shit ton of heroes in the past and he still worked independently, a little advice and a suit doesn't make him non independent, he still handled pretty much everything on his own

Are companies not allowed flexibilities with their own characters anymore? I understand Thor in the Avengers because he is too strong, but this bullcrap about Tom Holland is unnecessary. He has clearly proven that he can be a better Spider-Man than Tobey. For the record, he is a "stark fanboy" because Tony saved him when he was just 9 years old (in Iron Man 2). The reason his suit was made by Tony Stark was so he could convey emotion even though he wore a mask, just like the comics. Andrew is probably the best Spider-Man, I feel like Tobey gets praised because of nostalgia and a lot of people grew up watching his Spider-Man, Andrew is by far the best actor out of the 3. Tom is only as good as he is because of his involvement with the avengers.

Disagree, neither is the best they all have their flaws, it’s when all of them fix their flaws and become better that they show they’re better. Tom was naive at the start of the mcu Spider-Man but every movie became a better Spider-Man. I think they’re equal to each other because they all faced different villains and all in their own unique way. Spider-Man is the embodiment of the responsibility quote, all of them fit the bill now

One thing it took me years to notice with peter in tasm 1 is that he swings less and uses more parkour on buildings and rooftops since he cant swing that good yet. Explains why he swings 24/7 in tasm 2

For those who kept saying he should have dodged whatever that hit him due to him having spider-sense, *LEARN PHYSICS*. I am a high school student, and after some quick calculations, Peter is swinging at the speed of 30-40Mph (I can never get the exact amount due to the lack of sources in this video). With that speed of 30-40mph, no force is strong able to immediately change the direction he is swinging. It shot him due to the Peter unable to react in time, also inexperienced in his powers. My main point is, despite having spider-sense, he is blinded and distracted by that light. AND No forces are strong enough to immediately change the direction he is swinging with the speed of 30-40mph.

They're all equally strong and smart. Tobey's simply experienced (you can feel this aged feeling to him when he talks about his career as sm), Andrew's the socially versatile (yet still awkward, as all Peters are) one, and Tom's the young, curious, and naive one that eventually grew up by the end of the film

Everyone's complaining about how old Andrew was to be a high school student. He was 29 when they filmed this, Tobey was 27 in the first Spider-Man, we're talking *TWO* years difference and no one bitched about it back then. I thought this film was great and at least on par with Raimi's films.
