I tell you what if my controller dq'd during any fight I was in whether it was intro or not I would instantly forfeit. The amount of mental stack before round start would to be much to handle. Props on Monarch for keeping a level head. Also thanks for more BlazBlue content man.

I don't know if this works against Es DP, but valk has an option select where he will wolf dash back if they are invincible and still continue a block string if they are not. That could be part of why Monarch tried to play lambda.

The longer the set goes, the stronger Monarch seems to get, so there's always some tension, even when the games are not as hype, like in this set.

Played valk thousands of matches. can't even get half as good as jona. absolute chad. this character is not so easy to win with because of dps making his mixup game hard and his low damage output makes him very reliant on opening you up many times ,lack of defense and as you said getting your approaches easily stuffed by bigger range characters (despite the mobility the wolf is quite stubby) in neutral you gotta be extra careful against most characters or you struggle to even touch em

EVO nerves are real. Everyone has them. Monarch is still a beast. He’s super helpful in the Discord. And Julio and Jona are still strong, obviously. I wish other western players like DLZ, or Betadood, or Edgedark could have made it, but it is what it is. BBCF will always have another event to check out.

I wanted to try valk because dapper old butlers are so my thing, but the execution was too much of a barrier for a character that isn't considered to be a top tier for me. Still trash at kokonoe, mai is sadly my best character because she has stupid easy combos and funny movement.

Valk isn't actually too crazy execution wise, the big first wall being the D~B/2C plinks but after that its pretty standard until you get to OS stuff.

@@LeemVonNelly Yeah tipper confirms are awful, and tipper specific combos are also kind of awful, but you really don't need them to deck people online. She's just very oppressive on neutral and there aren't too many moves on block she has that leaves her at a disadvantage if you space well.

Honeslty Monarch did great regardless. It's not easy to fight Nine especially with a a character like Lambda and he lost to Jona wich is an amazing Valk. I am proud he does justice to one of my favourite characters

Definitely a surprise to see Monarch go down to another American player, that said Val looks like a nightmare to fight. I love the Murakumo units in general, I think they look so cool. I kinda want to play Nu, but went with Noel for the time being since I'm a relative beginner to Blazblue, though not to fighting games.

Bruh I legit suck at blazblue. BUT FOR SOME GODDAMN REASON i always come back, fuck around with a Kagura combo I learned, and then never touch the game again lol Also from what I understand, ps4 controllers that come with bluetooth, have less input lag than the wired controllers do. So if you connect your ps4 bluetooth controller, to a wired connection, it will go faster. But if you just buy a wired controller, then it will be slower.

Is Lambda still considerd low tier? As I got into BB a few years back and started with her, everyone was just yelling how bad she is, bottom 5 no good qualitys. But I always thought she was fine, yeah some MUs are just bad, but thats kind of what comes when you play characters like her. Also as I switched to Es as my new Main, I always keep'd Lambda since some MUs are just much more.... relaxing with her.

@@ANIMEILLUMINATI Really? I'm certain I saw a couple of Lists where she was considerd low end of the High Tiers. But that was blamed on Nesca Input delay. I am pretty certain however that Es covers her most problematic MUs, Valkenhayn and Bang come to mind, pretty perfect.

its not easy but your best bet is too be patient and predict the teleports. Placing gravity seed can help and you should get rid of the mirror with 6B or 2B if she uses it. Its a really tought matchup because if Nine gets to hit you with wind she can nullify all your zoning with tornados and mirror. Keep yourself as far as possible at all times because Nine's only full screen option is Navy Pressure so if you can avoid her stacking wind you will win as she as no anti zoning tools and no dp if you get up close.

@@brayenmorrison3199 I think the big difference is that nu is a zoner and her swords are faster. Lambda is mostly rush down with zoning capability but her zoning is not considered good. Lambda's pin wheel is multi hit and can lock down opponents for a bit and she has a form of dp that nu lacks. Edit: Actually i might be wrong and nu might have a dp but lambda's is better because it harder to punish and have longer range. I could be remembering it wrong cause of BB Tag.
