I got the Delta Platinum and Reserve Business cards, I paid $1,000 in annual fees but I saved $450 from the Delta Stays credit and I’ll use it next year too so effectively only paying $100 in annual fees and I earned 230,000 Delta miles. I’ll cancel next year. Also even though they were not refundable I was able to get refunded I broke my arm and had to send the report from the hospital. That’s not guaranteed to work every time though

Great breakdown Calby. Not sure if you saw my Delta Plat video or not, but Delta Stays and the credit on the Delta Plat are strong and easy to use. Nice haircut mid production too 😁 Good stuff man.

Great information brother, I plan on do the top 4 Delta cards for Gold status, so this was VERY IMPORTANT for me to mitigate what is going to be a $2000 af for Delta Gold, and then going for Platinum status.

Yes, so frustrating when trying to navgate to Stays and end up on Vacations! The $250 credit was nice, but the MQDs on Delta Vacations (flight + hotel) is nice too!

I am currently in room that was booked through Delta stays that was booked in advance and was able to the trip 3 days before so not completely refundable but pretty close.

So does the credit reset on calendar year and card anniversary? I'm not understanding how you can use the credit twice a year every year?

The Delta Stays credit doesn’t get enough -credit. Also, I love Pigeon Forge. I haven’t been in like 20 years though.

Oooo that’s a good title; but It really doesn’t! $100+ is definitely enough to book a decent hotel. Oooooo you need to go back! They’ve changed a lot especially after the big fire that happened a few years back.

So you don’t even get the Delta earn rate using the Amex? Other than the annual credit I can’t see why you’d use stays unless it’s during one of their MQD promos

Yep! I actually did this. My mom is actually the Delta Platinum card holder but she didn’t want to use it and let me use it. No problems triggering the Delta Stays credit.

I’m confused on the Delta credit twice per year. lol can someone put it in simple terms?

Eseentially, since the credit renews every January. Say for example it’s December right now. Book a hotel with delta stays for a few months away in the next year. Wait a few weeks, ok now it’s January. Then you get a new credit, then book again for the same hotel etc. Thereby using both credits for 1 stay etc. So December, use your credit to book a hotel for a few months out. Then January, use your new credit to book another hotel for a few months out. Same can be done for any of the calendar year credits, like Amex Platinum Hotel credit etc.
