i honestly liked that anime. the weirdness gave me an opportunity to play around with the setting. why machinegunhippos or the snailplain that broke the geneva convenssion.? it felt like the world we is reconstructing it self into this biotechonlogical dystopia.

I was watching this anime and decided to watch dorohedoro cause they constantly keep showing mushrooms in the show and I decided why not just drop this and watch that instead.

I actually give respect to animes that do try something out of the box we have to consider the fact if they play it too safe it's just gonna be a generic copy

I get to each their own but this left me wanting to see what happened next each week. Where as AOT was running about the same time if not the same time and I remember always feeling meh after each one. Not saying it doesn't have a ton wrong with it but it was refreshing. Side note while the crab did look out of place is it that much worse than MAPPAs titans final season pt 1? lol

It's not a big mistake to like animes that aren't popular you find a lot of gems like I've never heard of Jagaaan but I came across it somehow and it was amazing.

Personally I really enjoyed Sabikui Bisco, and would take more "weird shit" like this over any of what's deemed mainstream any day. Well, maybe not over Chainsaw Man or JoJo, idk weird is wonderful

This is one of the anime that i looked forward to watch every week. The story and the setting is quite nice, the characters are well written, there's romance too but i'll ignore that. The story, the pacing, was actually nicely carried out. apart from the finale, everything that led to the same was nicely done. 7/10

i saw this earlier today, stopped watching this vid after 5 min before any spoilers happened, watched the show, and i can now say after 12 episodes that this shows ONLY crime in my eyes was that it was only 12 episodes when this easily deserved 52 like FMA brotherhood because i liked it just as much and for everyone who watched that show, you know that the weirdness in this show is only like 2 or 3 notches above that. like srly with the fact he brought up actagawa being cgi tells me theres a good chance that he just saw the cgi and didnt like it and so decided the show ultimatly was bad even if its characters were my favorite in all of anime with how ehtye managed to feel like not just real people but real ass adults wading their way through this distored world. like seriously if it took like 30 epiodes instead to reach the rust eaters with more of the chase between pawoo trying to catch up to bisco and milo and more fights between her and bisco with milo for one reason or another never being able to stop it till bisco runs off with milo again and than perhaps like 5 to 10 episodes of pawoo traveling with bisco and us really getting to see the relationship between the two which btw i love just as much as sid and izumi from FMA brotherhood, than i would say its perfect so really this show needs is a brotherhood remake to its 2003 vibes of just not giving us enough time and i would say its easily my top 5 anime of all time favorites and honestly probably if i really think about it top 3 AT LEAST... basically for someone not used to shit like soul eater or FMA or shit, it probably felt a bit weirder in some ways but honestly this felt a bit more tame for the weird side of anime and flatout, if the story was dragged out over a longer period, it woulda been possible for people like you to aclimate to the weirdness AND people like you need to shut the fuck up about cgi cause flat out IT WAS NOT bad... like srly fucking stop jumping on the second most idiotic bandwagon in all of anime history of "UhHhHh!!! What I didn't like about this show is that *spoilers* At one point, Blue Guy is almost dead, Red Guy runs away on his fast as fucc boi giant crab to face Big Bad, they get into fight, then somehow Blue Guy magically walks all the way to the fight despite being almost dead, with no crabby ride, and in freezing weather. Like, wtf? It took Red Guy a long time to get there, but almost dead Blue Guy does it by himself in like 2 seconds?! What?! Also, Red Guy magically reassembles himself after getting completely melted by rust lava like Dr. Manhattan except mushroom.

So this is "sigma male"-the anime. Literally the "they don't know" meme.

Actually. I see this weird thing with animes going full "shit posting", completely scrapping narration, character development and world building. I'm currently watching Sonny Boy and, holy fuck, do they just ignore anything that has to do with good writing. They just keep on schizo posting without any sense of tension nor build up. Damn, the one time anime acknowledges the concept of "show don't tell", but somehow manages to avoid even reading the wiki page explaining that: no, it doesn't mean you should make everything quirky, vague and "symbolic" just to come across as "intelligent". Or it might not be "show don't tell" but an attempt at being funny, which, I think we all know: random=funny, right? Out of touch writers, my god. (Also, teenage dramas with inevitable love triangles are soo fucking cringe, like, give me a seizure warning as a heads up, so I can at least dodge the infighting among my own brain cells and go straight to the depression following the power vacuum of mental unrest).

Yeah, I loved this show. The weird stuff it did, I think was what sold me on it, even if most of it was random, they tried to explain some of it or incorporate them into the wold SOMEhow. It probably also helped it was one of my earlier animes that I watched.
