The story about the soldier spouse cheating and spending his money was eye opening. How fast your life can go downhill by picking a bad partner. I recently ended things with this girl who (in hindsight) seemed to benefit from our thing. I'm naturally heartbroken but after hearing this story, maybe I dodged a bullet

Same thing happened to a guy in my unit when I was in Germany in 1998. He was attached to another unit for IFTE support in Kosovo and his wife spent all his money and was banging a guy in my barracks. I came home late one night and saw her walking down the hall naked. She had gotten some ice and was going back to the others guy room. She lived off post but would come stay in the barracks with him while her old man was down range. Guy in my unit should have known better since she left her other husband to be with him just because he was going to Germany. Chick was trifling.

Same growing up in small town the woods were our playground, our siblings if we had any were our best friends and you kind of feel like you're in a protective bubble UNTIL you aren't! Wood's go dead silent you know something is around an your no longer the top of the food chain. We had a curfew to be back by NO Matter what and we headed home well before curfew only to arrive 3+hrs past it an to us it only felt like the amount of time it should have taken to get home! We've been chased out of the woods by something you couldn't see I can only describe it as the invisible predator kinda like in the movie "predator" when it goes invisible You can only say that distortion of your surrounding! Finding out years later that someone went missing in those same woods an their skeleton was found 15-20miles away from where we once played. I believe there's something in those woods I just don't know exactly what "IT" is!

@@samhinzman2018 I've actually ran into a few of them on Reddit, buzzfeed and a few other places. I've talked well message threaded with a few an was given link's to check out about some with similar experiences. I heard one today actually that had me going YES, THAT'S EXACTLY what happened with our missing time to! This person swore they had only been gone a half HR because of a bad feeling an the woods going dead silent. They left their house at 10am an their half hour was 8pm they say as they were getting closer to coming into their back yard similar to mine it's suddenly darker then it was an made no sense. I've seen a few others all similar like it doesn't feel that long but in reality it could be hours or days and that's even more terrifying!

There are ALWAYS people who go off grid into national parks, they are often wanted by the authorities for something, a lot of them prey on hikers and campers....they also often don't survive that long with no medical care decent food etc., and also often are on the run with mental illness, and that's not taking into account the crazy things people have witnessed that can't be explained...

Good stories, but the Sargent Tommy story was absolutely heart wrenching! A wife must have a stone heart to do something so cruel. It is a coward's way. If you really don't want the marriage anymore, have the decency to see the man -who has been sending you his money- face to face. It is the decent thing to do.

Australia is NOT where the Huntsman Spider lives. Huntsman Spiders, aka the Wandering Spider, is indigenous to South America. In fact, the other name for it is the Brazilian Wandering Spider. The lethally poisonous spider that lives in Australia is the infamous Australian Funnelweb Spider, aka the Australian Trapdoor Spider, aka Atrax robustus. These two spiders (NEITHER of which are tarantulas) are the two deadliest spiders on the planet. The venom of any rattlesnake is child's play by comparison!
