Thank you for that @godpapiTV! Much appreciated! I enjoy the Audax because it is an unsupported ride on an unmarked and unmarshalled course, which means you have to plan your own food stops too. Hello @pao zamora, there are several climbs on that route. The one that I had to repeat was over 4 km long, with average gradient of 5.6%, touching almost 12% in several places. Ayan. Napagod na ulit ako sa alaala pa lang. Haha! 🤣

Hello @andrea natasha kintanar! I’m so glad you’re enjoying the Channel. Thank you for the encouragement! That’s much appreciated 🙏🏼. In 2019, I believe the Audax route was a simple out and back. Out to Limay as a turnaround. Simple. Climb that mountain when you go out, and climb again on your way back. That’s twice. In 2020, Audax amended the route to increase elevation gained. And so they cut short the distance to the turnaround point, but now made you climb the mountain 3x. Climb on the way out, turnaround at a restaurant in Pilar, then climb back up. But now at the Arc, turn right back and head down again in the direction of the 1st turnaround point (but now for a shorter distance to the 2nd turnaround point). Then come around and climb back up to the Arc again, before heading back into Subic. Whew. If it sounds exhausting to read it, that’s because it’s exhausting to bike it too! 🤣 This was the route in the Feb 2020 cue card as provided by Audax PH. In 2021, Audax allowed us use the Subic Route as one of the 3 Luzon Centennial courses. Some used the 2019 route. But my one friend that agreed to join me did so on the condition we do the 2020 route. I said yes 🤦🏻‍♂️🤣. And the rest is History 😜👍🏼

Yes it would be fun to meet you on the road! 👍🏼 I’m not sure about the course for this year🤔. Someone just sent me a possible Audax recon ride of a different Bataan route, one that just keeps going South on the West Coastline of Bataan , from Subic towards Mariveles, and then back. That would be a new route. And that will surely be awesomely scenic!! 🤩 You’ll have a great time on that one, for sure! 🎊🎉👍🏼
