This is to anyone who is thinking of cutting their hair coz it’s too hard to manage or it gets too out of control or for anyone who has long hair already…I wouldn’t recommend cutting it. I grew mine for 2 years then I cut it. I instantly regretted it, I’m up to my 9th Month of growing my hair now and its crazy and i can’t control it but hey it’s worth the wait once you tie it up or leave half up half day.

I third this. I have big curls, and I wanted a short bob-- the curls make my hair stick outward instead of down. I'm on a long journey to get my big hair at least to my shoulders again, and this time I won't be tempted to cut it back down!

With my hair, it’s mostly wavy. But the second it gets to a certain length, it turns into a 2c/3a curl pattern and it’s such a weird situation but it’s worth the struggle

@@helloapple7805 I don't watch any. All I do is do a 5 minute scalp massage for a week every month and take these gummies that strengthen your hair, only issue is the gummies also make your nails grow like crazy

I’ve always had straight hair but for the first time about a full year ago I grew my hair to near my shoulders and it was straight at the root but at the bottom it curled really heavy actually like some giant coils. I decided to get short hair and now I’m growing my hair again but for some reason my hair is curly even when short, this has never happened before. Can’t wait for my hair to get long again because if it’s curly when it’s short it’s gonna look 100x better long

Same. But as soon as I get some growing good, I have to take chemo again for Leukemia. Funny I only lose ONE HALF OF my hair! LITERALLY! You can literally draw a line down the center. It's crazy!

Get low taper is the best option. It'll enhance the curl shape. N to avoid dry, use leave in conditioner. Then use styling cream

Don't forget that products really matter for curly hair!! Especially stay away from drying chemicals like sulfates. Silicone can make it feel smooth and silky but it's really bad. It forms a barrier on your hair and can only be removed by harsh soaps like sulfates. Curly hair NEEDS moisture so condition it and use deep conditioning masks. Denman brushes are great for defining curls too! Great cut at the end 👌

I had this same head of hair maybe a bit more coily. Grew it out during the pandemic so didn't really care much about it. Then on some stupid impulse decided to shave my head...immediately regretted it. After about a year of fade cuts decided to give another shot at longer hair. But this time around the awkward stage feels so much more horrible to manage. Especially in formal clothing since you can't even wear a cap or beanie to cover it up.

I put curl crème after I shower, keeps it nice for the day, I’m from south texas, a lot of heat and humidity so curl crème comes in clutch.

I always have to tie it up and it's annoying cuz what's the point of growing it if I can't have the natural free look ☹️ started to think that long hair isn't for me whiches very disappointing and depressing..

I’m at a year of growth rn, it looks so bad and frizzy and hard to manage but guys trust me, fix your diet, sleep with a bonnet and put product in your hair constantly while brushing it wet and it’ll look so much better than what you have right now, I’m just now starting and that’s the painful part.

I'm really considering it my hair was really long like down to my neck when dry and past my shoulders when wet, i had the Mikey look for a while, i parted in the middle, side, tied it in the back sometimes, went to get a "trim" it got absolutely butchered, currently mediumish length and uneven but since it's curly you can't tell that much

I am Southeast Asian with naturally curly hair unlike most asians having 1A hair. My hair is pretty much the south chinese type curly hair but like it is hard to use stuff like headbands when my headshape just isn't made for it, and I have that really really round headshape and I can't follow any tutorials because there is no hair tips for naturally curly southeast/east asian hair for men, only women :(

Any hair advice for men? I got jew hair, long dark curly ringlets.. I've been growing it out, going on a year, maybe two.. I never knew I had "this" type of hair (also never knew I had a jew nose lol) except as a kid my hair was "oily." For the last two weeks, I've been NOT shampooing/conditioning. I figured once or twice a week, I'd do shampoo/conditioner and let the natural oils do the rest.. I'm still trying to figure out my regiment... I'm Spanish + Native American + "European," and I live in Alaska (cold weather) if that matters.

It looked like that when it dried because it appears you didn't have any hair product in it, to devine your curls and minimize frizz.

@@camerontaljaard9936 i wash my hair every 4 days with shea moisture, shampoo then conditioner with warm water. With hair still wet i apply a leave in conditioner then brush my hair, then apply a mouse or gel, after hair dries completely I use a oil and break up the dried hair. That is all. Sleep with a silk pillow and bonnet, then in morning I gently fluff up hair with fingers and good to go. Once a month I use a clarifying shampoo and every 2 weeks I use a shea moisture strengthen & restore treatment mask instead of conditioner and let it sit in hair for 15 minutes. Shea moisture, tresemme, and aussie are all good brands for curly hair you can find a mousse/oil etc specific for curly hair.

Me too. On my moms side it’s all straight/wavy hair. But on my dads side, it’s mostly all 3a’s. Even my own sister has 3a curls, yet I’m the only one In my whole family tree to have 3c/4a. Shits rough man 😔.

Buy a curly hair conditioner and only wash ur hair 2 times a week, the more moist ur hair is the better, when u shower put in the conditioner and brush ur hair then breakup the curls with ur hand then scrunch it
