You know, to my knowledge, this film has never been released in the UK on DVD. Weird. I still haven't see it, but have wanted to for years.

Thank you for your fine review of "The Bad and the Beautiful." I have seen this film several times and I always find it rewatchable and entertaining. It is quite melodramatic. I enjoy everyone in the cast. Gloria Grahame won the best supporting actress Oscar for her few minutes of screen time. I like Gloria Grahame a lot and feel that she always adds value to a film. But in my opinion, there were other nominees that year whose performances were more deserving of an Oscar, especially Jean Hagen's hilarious performance as Lina Lamont in "Singin' in the Rain."

I agree. I like Gloria Grahame aswell, especially in the movie " In a lonely place" with Bogart. That is my favorite role for her. She is good in this film, but she is not very much in it, so I feel like you that other Actress that year should have won an Oscar

@@thefilmclassic4210 I just thought of a film that you might want to consider for review: "Sudden Fear" (also from 1952), a thriller starring Joan Crawford, Jack Palance, and Gloria Grahame. It's another one that I find melodramatic, entertaining, and rewatchable.
