I would like to see more witty banter from Alfred. One of my favorite things about Alfred in the Animated series was that his sarcasm was always on point. He keeps Bruce on his toes and tries to show a slight humor to Bruce as a parent or partner for him. Maybe even give more background for Alfred like how he was use to work in intelligence as a member of Mi6 and even give him a real chance for him to show off in the field for Bruce. These are some of the things that the movies hint at but never really show off. Alfred is one the biggest assets that bruce has.

About Catwoman’s return to Gotham…when she does come back I could see her trying to steal from Bruce because she doesn’t know he’s Batman rn. And she kind of spoke down on him in the first movie. So maybe she has to get to know Bruce to like him outside of being Batman when she finally finds out or he tells her.

If Freeze is the villian, I have two hopes. The first is that Gotham is frozen over and it takes place in winter, and the second is that "cold cold cold" by cage the elephant is the trailer music.

I’m wondering why more people aren’t talking about Hush as a villain. That comic was great and he would be perfect for this universe. Not so much the animated movie where they made him The Riddler. Comic book accurate Bane or Two Face would also be cool.

Hey Boba, I love hearing you talk about “The Batman”! I really hope we’ll see Harvey Dent’s rise and fall in part 2 of The Batman as we did in The Batman Animated Series. Not only that, but I’d love to see Bruce and Harvey’s relationship develop. Wouldn’t it be great if Matt Reeves recreated a scene like the one in the Animated Series where Harvey gets arrested and Bruce stops by while he’s being taken to Arkham and Harvey says to Bruce, “Good old Bruce, never gave up on me.”

I think, for Batman, a trilogy just is not enough time to build a good Batman story. I think you need at least 4 main Batman movies and a couple Bat Family movies in-between

Maybe we get a bigger Bat family in the Reeves universe who knows, maybe there is more than 3 movies…the Court is a possibility…this Bat Family will just be different since we know they are growing from their origins in Reeves’ universe, for example Dick Grayson being 13 to start

I would be very surprised if they dont do court of owls, robert is interested on the idea and paul dano. Plus the owl on the card in the first movie and tone of movie feeling like theres many hidden secrets in the world. It would definitely be a missed opportunity. Btw when i heard that the juice he injected himself was adrenaline i was kinda bummed that it wasnt venom because if i remember in the prequel book it says he finds mysterious substances when he goes out at night and brings it back to the batcave to examine it and i thought that the juice he injected himself with was one of them :(

This is how I envision it: - Penguin season 1 sees Oswald becoming the Kingpin - Batman II part II sees the Hush/Clayface plot others have talked about (I love that idea) - Arkham season 1 ends with Riddler breaking out - Penguin season 2 (I know it’s not a confirmed thing, but let a guy dream) Oswald becomes mayor - Batman III is Batman and Riddler go at it, maybe Riddler figures out Batman is Bruce, Court of Owls teased, Penguin gets put away in Arkham. - Arkham season 2 is Arkham Asylum, visiting old rogues of Batman. They break out. But that’s the end of the movie. - many many many years later, as a legacy sequel Batman IV - Bruce is old and retired. He rounded up all his rogues except Joker, he got away and has become Kingpin in the shadows. He makes a big comeback, and Terry McGinnis comes in as Batman Beyond. Court of Owls exposed. I can see a lot of potential in that framework. A question though - do you think Ignatius Oglivy will make an appearance in Penguin?

I think it would be cool to see robins first appears as robin in a solo villain movie within the reeves verse and to just make both Batman and robin have roles in other villain movie if we get them, they would help show more in depth of how Bruce is evolving other than just showing it in the trilogy

I'd like to see the more grounded and less utilized villains get some screen time. Like an opening scene where Batman is giving his monologue while taking down a talkative kid in red hoody and blank white mask. Or a group of thieves wearing fox, vulture and shark masks. Then play the reaper up as the main villain

I'm all about having more Bane and maybe go deeper than previously but also would LOVE a stand-alone Bane movie to get the whole story and development that we really haven't gotten. As for another random villain that doesn't get talked about much that would be grounded would be Professor Pig could be amazing and really dark.

Funny that you mention the CoO, Boba. I have a theory that, despite the first film depicting Falcone as 'The Rat', I go back to what Colson told Batman before he blew up: *People* are watching! It's so much bigger than you could ever imagine... it's the *whole system*!" What if, indeed, that was a subtle Easter egg? After all, the CoO basically run Gotham, with the help of the mob in their pockets. The rampant crime, as well as the rogues that are running around, shields the elites from suspicion. Regular, law-abiding citizens aren't aware of the extent that Gotham's elite runs the political, social and economic systems of government. Perhaps Bella Reàl's win was set up, as a way to further distract citizens? Maybe she's not aware that she's a puppet? Then again, maybe she is? With the first film focusing solely on Bruce/Batman's psychological evolution, what better way to have this version come to learn about the CoO, his parents' possible involvement in it, etc? This way, by the end, he won't win and 'save the day' in the classical sense, but he *will* be a fully formed hero for Gotham, knowing exactly *who* the enemies are. And *that* is when the true work begins. Again, it's just a theory, but when Matt Reeves calls his vision an 'Epic Crime Saga' that so far has been linear, his films *and * shows will all lead to something. It makes sense.

Hi @BobaTalks , Question for your next video: Regarding the Bruce and Alfred's relationship - In The Batman pentalogy, do you think Matt Reeves will see any of the rogues gallery succeed on an attempt to harm, or even murder, Alfred? All in an effort to attack the heart for Bruce Wayne. Like how Scott Snyder's facially disfigured Joker chopped off Alfred's hand with an axe in the Batcave during 'End Game' storyline (2015), or Tom King's Bane who snapped Alfred's neck in Wayne Manner, during 'The City of Bane' storyline (2020) - reminding fans this character is not untouchable! This would be an impactful way to capitalise on Bruce's biggest fear, which he confirmed during the hospital scene in the first movie...what becomes of himself following the loss of Alfred? We've not experienced that in a Batman movie before. Perhaps in the absence of Alfred, Bruce is bottle necked to acquire additional allies, in the form of Lucius Fox. Unlocking with Fox an arsenal of Wayne Enterprise programs and resources to further fuel his personal crusade against crime and corruption. Keep up the hard work, Boba, love the series.

They should do Mr. Freeze main villain that goes into tragic backstory, with Szasz as a minor villain. Can Batman handle two Victors?!?!?!?? I feel like both of them, especially Szasz would fit right in.

One question I'd like to ask is: Do we know for sure that there will be 3 movies or there is at least room for more? I know Matt Reeves said he wants to make a trilogy but does he maybe take into consideration a fourth film? In my opinion there are so many possibilities for the story and also there are so many great villains that could be introduced...only 3 movies might be a little bit rushed.

In the discussion of who would be the villain of movie two, i would love to see the Drops drug be paid off in the next movie. I suppose it could be a oner in the penguin series but i wouldnt like that. I would like to see batman taking out some drops dealers on the street in the opening of movie 2, and through that finds out about a larger villain like the scarecrow. I liked the idea in the batman fan film "Broken Promise" where drugs were being laced to kill some of their users. I think something like that but with Scarecrow using drop heads to test his fear toxin would be a great idea for the next movie. I would love to see scarecrow as a main villain, but i hope they would over do it with the horror movie aspects.

Hey Boba picture this, we saw our Joker in film 1: we go through film 2 and at the end we encounter a 2nd different joker, and the third film brings in the biggest baddest joker and our last film in the trilogy is a take on the 3 jokers story like. I always thought Patrick Stewart would be the best iteration of Mr. Freeze. He could play the part so well and I'd like to see this character realized in this universe.

This one is a bit of a long term idea, but I would LOVE to see them one day adapt Batman Beyond within the Matt Reeves-Verse. I'm talking about 20 years from now long after Robert has left the role coming back and finally giving us a proper Batman Beyond. Would have been happy to see Keaton take that on but if it won't be him, I'd like to Pattinson and the world he inhabits. I can imagine the look of Gotham having a Blade Runner style vibe to it.

Random but I was always curious why that 1 certain kid was highlighted at the beginning of the movie…on the train the one gang member that’s getting initiated…also the last one standing across from Batman that ran away after the first scene

Not sure what villains they’d pick to accomplish this but I wonder if the trilogy will follow Bruce’s internal and emotional story of his feelings of guilt and responsibility in all his personas rather than following the external story of Gotham as a city and it’s corruption. So, the first was about Bruce learning what Batman has to be for people of the city. I think the second will focus on a lesson he has to learn from effects his neglect of his company has and he’ll have to learn what Bruce Wayne has to be for the people of the city. Like, he’ll find he does have to balance both halves of his life and not neglect one for another. And maybe the third will focus on bringing both of these lessons together to fight something overwhelming for both halves- maybe someone who is able to attack both batman and Bruce simultaneously and he has to use both personas to fight back, perfecting the balance of Bruce and Batman in the process.

Court of owls would be great in batman 3, deeper corruption than Bruce ever thought possible. On another note, I really hope we don't see the joker joining forces with the riddler! I really believe that Matt Reeves won't put the joker and the riddler escaping from Arkham asylum until the very end of the batman 2 or even the start of 3. But I just can't see the joker being on equal terms with the riddler! I'm sure that the joker will have his reasons for using the riddler, but my point being, USING the riddler!! I'd really like to see Barry's joker taking advantage of the riddler and throwing him aside when hes had his way with him, I just would really like to see the riddler being used and crying his little heart out just like we seen him at the end of the batman 1. My only concern about saving the joker for the 3rd one is that it may mean we won’t see the DCU Joker for a while.

Personally i can go either way with Lucius being in the second and/or third part. I f he will be introduces i expect Reeves to have a real story arc and development of the character. In Nolan's films he was more or less just a plot device to easily implement all the gadgets and tech for Bruce. So far it seems that it's really important for Reeves that each character has it's own story within this universe, not just introducing characters for the sake of them being an essential part of the lore. As i am sure for example Alfred and Gordon will have a continued significant arc.

I’m kinda over the “realistic” live action Batman movies. Give me man-bat, give me clayface, Mr freeze, etc. what Nolan did was great, but I think everyone is being influenced a little too much by that. Batman’s rogues gallery is the best in comics, so to not use it fully is a crime.

I would focus on Bruce's bond with Alfred before bringing in Fox. They should definitely show them sparring like you mentioned in the past. They should do it at the start of the second film because Alfred was injured and needs to get back on his feet. Introduce Lucious at the end of the trilogy leading viewers to speculate that Luke the Batwing will eventually come into play through extended Matt Reeves universe. Maybe Fox could come in earlier if he designed the tech that Freeze uses. Depends on the direction they go with that. I always envisioned Mr Freeze with gangrene or frostbite

If Matt Reeves happens to expand his universe after the Batman Pt2 with more tv shows outside of Arkham and Penguin, what would you want to see most and how would you like to see it done?

I think it would be an utter waste to use the court of owls in The Batman universe because the whole point of that storyline is that after MANY years in the cowl, and believing he has already learned everything there is to learn about mysterious Gotham, HIS Gotham, this shadowy whatever pulls the rug out from under him. I know they’re cool but it just would take the wind out of the sails of what makes those guys such a serious threat-that they’re good enough to have been operating under the nose of a highly competent and seasoned Batman (in part because he overestimates the quality of his own initial investigation, which was actually conducted during his greener years), and he’s almost in denial that he could have been so wrong, even having given it his best shot as a young Batman and failing to definitively prove their existence.

I think Frieze would have to be slowly introduced just as clay face..like Easter eggs. I tho k these Matt reeves last two should be dealing with subtle hints of the strings the court pulls, his uncle being introduced (obviously) and then they should do a villains/rogues spin off series like with the penguin because it’s just TOOOOOO big of an amazing story. We already set up the anti hero aka cat woman and to introduce dick Grayson, Jason, tim, Barbara, I feel that would have to be Batman more as a support character tbh. This would have to be a chronology OR they can simplify it without it being crass and toooo much fan service because we all saw this hyper realistic world Reeves built is amazing. Also, my theory, is that if they do have ward train a robin, at say year 5, I would write a “pro type robin” aka the mayors son. Now since everyone went over everything and you made it this far in my rant (lol), when riddler is watching the mayor and his son play around as his son dressed as a ninja wearing a read hoodie…when I saw that I’m like “ohhhhhh sh*t” haha. BUT with metahumans, I’m not so sure because I feel CGI would cripple this universe. (I know, I know, but I mean players like clay face and croc and man bat)

Yeah I think the grounded bane idea is doable for sure. Maybe there's a new street drug that's killing people, like meth mixed with adrenaline and whatever else you can think of . The drug dealers work for bane, bane is a david goggins type mfer and also he is the only guy who can take this drug and not die, in fact it makes him extremly strong and overpowered. So when batman goes to fight him bNe is just incredibly strong and batman has a hard time with him Would this type story work? Idk maybe I'm being way too cloche lol

and i prefer for the villains in Batman 2 to be Joker and Ridler they could team up and escape the prison or The Ridler escapes and Batman teams up with Joker to catch him

bane is 6'6'' and almost 300lbs. venom doesn't increase his muscle size but his strength. I also think they should finally do a comic accurate bane which they have failed to do in a live action move. Tom Hardy's Bane was terrible. the best version of bane was in batman the animated series with henry silva voicing him. lastly i think he should be way down the line after he has had a couple Robins and an established and fleshed out rogues gallery since when bane comes to gotham he breaks everyone out of gotham to test batman, he figures out who he is goes to his home kicks the crap out of him breaks his back and tosses him off a building into a crowd of people. he's out of commision for a yr and selects JPV to fill in as batman which would be awesome to see in a live action movie. the movie needs to be accompanied by a tv series to tell the smaller stories and really build the characters needed to tell these larger stories(like firefly and amygdala) using the same base characters(gordon, batman, alfred) in the movie.

I disagree with you on the court and think it would work much better in the Reeves’ universe. They control the corruption the Riddler and Hush were calling out, and they send the Batman villains they can’t control to Arkham. Could also get an interesting dynamic where they don’t want the shut-in Bruce Wayne, but they do want to recruit Batman. Could also do something fun with the Hatter (or Hugo Strange) and Talon with a built-in theme of control.

Mr.Freeze has been on the big screen. But not Clayface. Seeing the same villain's from Nolan's trilogy would defeat the purpose of watching the Matt Reeves trilogy.
