Aside from Ivy, I'd also love to see a Basil Karlo Clayface. I think it's kind of a perfect character to introduce into this already very Noir driven series, given the origins of the character, & all of the possibilities w/exploring how fame can corrupt & destroy a person. It could be interesting. So yeah, I would love it to be Ivy & OG Clayface.

I would love to see a rogues gallery build up in these movies, and then maybe the final movie something happens at arkham, and everyone breaks out and there’s chaos, with Batman going through and collecting each of his rogues one last time.

Loved this video. First of all, I have to say what a great community you have gathered. Some of these questions and insights really blew me away. Kudos to everyone who spends the time to think so deeply about a subject we all love. I’ve been thinking a lot about the timeline for the Batman 2. You have made a great case for it being a wintertime story set a few months after the events of the first movie. I would be surprised if it wasn’t. Now the next question I have is: how likely is it to actually be set at or around Christmas? Will we get Bruce’s voiceover saying “Monday…December twenty-third…”? I ask this specifically because setting a movie around a holiday gives a natural framework and suggests some beats to hit, but it also could fit in with the theme of the movie if the villain is, say, Mr. Freeze. Family and missing your family around the holidays could be touched on for both Mr. Freeze and Bruce. I know you riffed on how Bruce spends his birthday in a livestream, but how does he spend Christmas? It’s a lonely time for many who are missing their families. Additionally, charities really ramp up during the holidays, so if we’re anticipating an uncomfortable Bruce at some black tie benefit dinner for charity, it would also be a natural. Lastly, I think Reeves’ Gotham would look amazing in the snow. Could be really fun if they go in that direction.

If they try to use the Court of Owls any sooner than movie 3, I would be astonished. Because the ENTIRE POINT of what makes the court SUCH an incredible addition to the rogues gallery is that Batman actively investigated them not only as a child, but as a young Batman and STILL came up empty handed, and arrived at the conclusion that they were not real. That a conspiracy about some secret, all-powerful organization that old, and that wide-reaching (all the very highest levels of Gotham society) couldn’t possibly exist if he was unable to find any hard evidence, considering how highly Batman estimates his own abilities. THAT is what makes the court of owls so terrifying-that Batman operated for over a decade with full confidence of their mythological status before they revealed themselves; that be considered Gotham HIS city, which he knew like the back of his own hand-and he was SO utterly wrong. That’s what makes the court terrifying. If you introduce the Court in year 3, that completely undercuts the reasons that they’re such a deadly adversary and why they’re so intimidating.

Holiday trilogy concept: Penguin carries Gotham over 6 weeks after The Batman. The Batman II is set during Christmas, with snow but no Mr Freeze (Hush, Clayface, etc), and The Batman III with the Freeze (OR the Poison Ivy route that was rumored) and centers on romance during the Valkentine's Day period and is still cold/snow covered. A bit TOO condensed of a timeline, but I would dig it.

First off, I truly enjoy your videos. Thank you for what you do, truly. I accidentally found your channel and now you are one of my favorite channels. Now, my thoughts on the Batman 2. I think that the world is very grounded and should remain that way. Another thing is that I don’t think we should have a large amount of villains in the franchise, like how the Nolan films had a new villain each movie. Think about it, if the riddler showed up in New York, it would be a huge deal. It would change history, it wouldn’t seem real. But that’s what’s it’s like in Gotham. Batman is dealing with a corrupt government, serial killers, terrorist, drug lords and mob bosses. That’s the type of world, and granted, he have Joker, Riddler and penguin but these people can be found rather realistically anywhere. Riddler being a terrorist, joker being a serial killer and penguin being a drug lord. What I liked is that in Gotham, each villain was separate and had ultimately no connection to one another. That’s realistic. Now, for the Batman 2 and the in general future, let’s take a look at what makes sense. Riddler exposes the local Gotham government to be corrupt and now it’s spreading. People are now waking up to the corruption and are likely to be against Gotham City’s government. With that said, I think the best way to go is to continue the path that Riddler started. Why create a whole new story when this one isn’t finished yet. What I think is the right thing to do is to have the next villain be somewhat of a copy cat of the riddler. Look at shootings/bombings, etc. That’s always a select few who agree with what was done and tries to continue the message. I think that the next villain should be someone who agrees with Riddler and who saw what Riddler did to be as an act of heroism. This creates the opportunity for further exploration of secrecy in Gotham. Think about it,it’s been a long time since the flood. People are upset with Gothams government, drugs are spilling through the streets, things have gotten worse and some individual decides to take on the role of Riddler in the form of a new villain. Continuing to expose how corrupt Gotham is. This villain could in deed be hush, now knowing that his father died in the hands of the Wayne’s and that he only found out due to the riddler exposing the corruption. Hush would then praise Riddler, trying to be like him, he would see him as a hero for exposing the truth about his fathers death. Hushes main goal would be to destroy the Wayne’s, and also to continue where Riddler left off. Hush would be rather insane, isolated, fearful yet driven by hate. Hush becoming the new copycat killer. Now another thing that could be very much explored is the scarecrow. I think that Gotham could be hit with a new drug, distributed by an unknown entity. This drug makes people trip out psychedelically. But then people start to realize that this drug is killing them, bodies coming up like crazy yet people still take it. Batman thinks the new drug is a planned attack on Gotham and tries to investigate it, only to then find that penguin has nothing to do with the drug and that penguin is simply distributing it. While Batman is trying to find out about the new drug, this copy cat killer ( hush) launches a series of attacks on Gotham and specifically the Wayne’s, killing Wayne associates. Bruce has to hide Alfred. Hush continues to preach that riddler was right and that Gotham must not continue to stay quiet. Batman is now tackling this new killer, completely oblivious to who it could be, the killer leaving no trace. Hush then is able to build up an audience. Hungered of riddler supporters now turning to hush because riddler is behind bars. Like the Manson family, hush has created a family or his own. Sending his followers to commit crimes and murder to hurt Gotham. Hush finding more revealing information of mistreatment of Arkham inmates, more corruption of the government. Hush tries to practically overthrow the city. Meanwhile, this new drug is growing and Batman can’t figure out where it’s coming from. I think that this movie could be dark. People dead in their homes, people overdosing on the streets and busses. Gotham is falling and Batman is in doubt about his involvement thinking that he’s made it worse. Hush, Hush, Hush. A symbol used to mock Gotham for its secrecy. Now, what I’m about to mention is a massive Gotham twist. Batman finds at the end of the movie a lead to the person disturbing the drug, but then only finds out that this drug is being sold by an unknown source. This unknown source being the court of owls. The court of owls being the foundation of corruption, profiting by almost billions by distributing these drugs and they also are involved indirectly with all of Gotham’s financial institutions. Then making scarecrow, the deliberate manipulative psychiatrist, who made millions of dollars by experimenting on patients, and Gotham, only exposed by hush, which allows Batman to find out. Hush exposes the corruption and then Batman finds Craine who when investigating finds the same death symptoms in now only the patients but also the random deaths throughout Gotham. Craine, then becoming the major villain of the 3rd film. And by the 4th film, Batman finds out that the court of owls had been behind the drugs, the crime, the corruption, everything. And that it’s all about money and control of Gotham. The court of owls being the wealthiest people in Gotham, all descents off the founders of Gotham. The court of owls being this secret society of country club going, ball room dancing and fear mongering individuals. True elitist. But what I think I would be more interesting would be if Bruce himself had to try to infiltrate as the billionaire he is. Showing that he is one of them to gain trust, only to then investigate them. Can you imagine that, Bruce siting at a round table with billionaires, wearing masks, only to then find out that they know he’s Batman and to get to Bruce, they kill Alfred. Batman now in a frenzy is on the edge of breaking his one rule. Don’t kill. He tries to destroy the owls yet is halted by another masked figure who truly challenges Batman. Making Batman fight like never before, facing new obstacles. Even going as far as to manipulate all of Gotham’s police departments to go after Batman. Batman now being a terrorist in the eyes of Gotham, being framed for the killing of 20 people. I think that this would be great. Let me know what you think.

I think it would awesome that if in the GCPD series, we see the main detective that's "in a battle for his soul" be investigating the Joker murders so we get a glimpse into how this Joker operates, what his motives seem to be, what he does to his victims, etc. All while in the background there's reports of this vigilante dressed like a Bat that has been seen fleeing the Joker crimes scenes by other detectives. We maybe even hearing the news talk about him or seeing the name "Batman" for the first time on the cover of newspapers. Just something cool like that so we can see bits more of Joker, and maybe get hints at how he was caught. I'm almost positive that won't happen, lol. But I would love it more than anything. EDIT: I should watch the full video before commenting, lol. Boba literally talked about this like 5 mins after I commented....lol

We have to remember that exposing corruption has/will lead to a void that needs filling. Penguin is doing that in his series, but it's easy to think that it will in other areas as well. Jobs need to be filled, and corruption will return. But exposing it again would be redundant... UNLESS it's exposing the top of the food chain when it comes to said corruption. Could be a side plot when dealing with more interesting rogues.

Listening to the long form discussions while drawing or playing a video game is something I look forwards to a lot. ❤❤ Second, let’s say we do see Mr. Freeze, who would you want to play him? I know people often say Giancarlo Esposito but personally I think he’s way too old. My ideal casting for freeze would be Hayden Christensen. I know it’s kinda out there, but he’s the first to come to mind due to the parallels between Mr. freeze and Darth Vader. Imagine him playing a good but broken man, working desperately and tirelessly to get his wife back. I think that’s be awesome.

Hey boba great video as always ! Now for the batman part II i believe it'll be a fantastic idea if reeves decides to go with both hush and clayface as the two main villains of the sequel, meaning It still carries over the whole masked and unmasked theme and with the sequel movie Bruce might want to start going public , to watch over and manage the company ( prevent more corruption ), help the city and its people post flood and to generally establish his "public image". That's where hush and clayface come in as they both can disguise themselves as Bruce Wayne to try and ruin his name and image. So its up to batman to figure out the connection between the two and stop them.

i mark the passage of time with boba's batman 2 videos now.

The district attorney died in the first one so Harvey dent should appear. it's a stretch but the number of plants killed in that flood could make a newly green pamela Isley mad (I think that this should be mentioned in a news headline similar to the election debates in the first movie). The flood is perfect for killer croc. following the theme of fear from the first movie scarecrow would be perfect. Hush would fit perfectly in this Gotham. The power vacuum after Falcone died could tie in black mask. victor zsasz would fit perfectly in this batman (he would fit better as a background character or minor villain Imo). I think that with the power vacuum Ras al Ghul and the league of assassins could make an appearance. Honestly Mad hatter should probably be mentioned or be a small character in one of the series. There is just about every possible excuse to put almost any of the main batman villains in this movie, and also not may excuses not to at least mention. They could also probably mention the titan formula (Banes happy juice) just to canonize bane.

I really hope Matt reeves reconsiders this as a series and not a trilogy please make more than three films !!!

Hey boba, love the video's. If the court of owls would be in the next movie, i would like to see batman investigate them together with Gordon and Harvey Dent. The movie could give some subtle hint to two face and end with him having his acident. Then the next movie could pick up with two face and make him a very personale threat, very inspired by batman dark victory. Would love to know your thoughts on this. Keep up the amazing work.

The DCU nor the mcu will ever reach the cinematic heights of The Batman simply because of how self contained it is and how it’s so comfortable with being a very niche crime thriller story. It felt like a film that would be made in the 70s. The dark knight trilogy as well deserves credit for being its own thing and sticking to that. These cinematic universes have no identity because it’s trying be everything and cover so much with some many different characters with very different tones and visions. The mcu had a nice run for a couple of films, only a handful stood out though most of the mcu is largely lost in the mix and things start to blur together. Quality over quantity is my motto for how to do a franchise. At the very least you should take your time with each project if you’re mapping out a story over the course of more than just three films. It may take a long time but it’s worth it. The mcu right now is churning out content and more content. It’s all so rushed and it shows. They prioritize activism over storytelling and creative integrity. They don’t treat each project with respect and give it time to build upon itself. That’s the problem with modern filmmaking and I fear the DCU will be the same story but I hope not

First of all, thanks for what you do Boba. Let me start by addressing your comment about Two-face. I also wouldn't want a repeat of the villains Nolan chose. But if Reeves decides to use any of them, I think Two-Face has the potential to approach him in a different way. In The Dark Knight, it was actually Harvey Dent in a revenge plot with half his face burned off. He was no different except for the anger that drove him. If Reeves used it in his film, I would like to see a more comic book fantasy approach. In terms of characterization, which could remind us of crazy comic book or animated incarnations. Character-wise, it could be Jekyll-Hyde at the same moment. Two people in one body. We would see their arguments, the moments when they disagree. This would allow the actor to play the duality of the character, actually play two characters at the same time. When it comes to guessing potential villains. I wouldn't approach it like a typical superhero/blockbuster movie. I wouldn't want a stereotypical movie where we have a protagonist, main villain and an eventual side villain. I would like an original script in a world where different characters appear, have different roles and plots. We already had a taste of this in The Batman. Yes, Riddler was the main enemy, and you could say Falcone was the secondary one, but not in the typical way. For most of the movie, he was just part of the world of Gotham. Penguin also appeared, but he was not closely related to the theme of the film. Most of the time he was a background character, we know he has his own story, but we don't focus on it, it's not part of this movie. When his story intersected with Batman's, he took over the role of a "side villain" for a while. But his rivalry with Batman never truly began or ended. Catwoman, who theoretically could have been a "side villain", also had her own plot and roles in this film. We meet her when her story in the city has been going on for some time. I would like to see more of this in future films. Characters that are part of the world, appear in the story the film tells, but are not important at the moment. For example, some characters from the series "The Penguin" could appear in the plot of Batman. Batman, going to interrogate Oswald, could encounter his bodyguard, who could be Killer Croc. In this version, a big thug with a skin condition that makes him look like scales. (Oswald's bodyguard would make sense now, a penguin with a higher position wouldn't want to be easily pushed around by batman like in the first movie). Or the rivalry between Penguin and Black Mask could take place in the background of the film's events. Gotham's "cold war" of sorts. While trying to interrogate the Joker again in Arkham, Batman could be stopped by his psychiatrist - Harleen Quinzel. The movie could start with the arrest of some minor villain preying on a flooded Gotham. For example, Batman could stop Anarky/Killer Moth/Firefly from committing a theft. These characters could later be developed in series like Arkham, GCPD or Penguin. And so on and so on. Batman could meet different characters this way. As viewers, we would know who it was, but at the same time that their time had not come yet. Maybe they would be important characters in the next movie, or maybe it would take place off-screen, in Bruce's potential future. This would create depth in the world, unlike, for example, Nolan's films, where we saw no potential for comic elements beyond the events of the film. As for potential villains. Of course I would love to see Mr. freeze, whose story could make Bruce stop looking at criminals only as bad people, but also as victims. He could notice that these are people who have been harmed by life, who have experienced a tragedy similar to his. This would continue the Catwoman theme where Bruce notices the gray shades of the world. Additionally, it would be nice to see Batman whose rivalry with the enemy does not end in a fight but in an attempt to help him. Freeze could launch attacks on deliveries of "Waynetech" to hospitals. This would combine Batman's investigation with Bruce's story as he becomes more interested in the company. Closer to the end of the movie, Batman, seeing that he is not fighting a bad guy, could decide to give the necessary technology to Freez and help him escape from the city. This would be an illegal but, for the viewers, moral decision that builds Bruce's character. Another interesting choice, also fitting for a villain-victim, is Man-Bat. Reeves could have portrayed him in a more horror style. The character itself could be something like a Werewolf. Continuing the horror theme, Mad Hatter is an interesting choice, as he could use hallucinogenic drugs on Batman. This would make for some totally awesome horror segments. (theoretically, the same applies to Scarecowa, but personally I like the "dark fairy tale" style associated with the hatter more). A final interesting choice would be Hugo Strange. An adversary obsessed with Batman, psychoanalyzing him. It could be the opponent who would be the first to discover Batman's identity. It would also have the potential to show the problem of corrupt people in the wrong position and in power. In this case, a psychiatrist taking advantage of mentally ill people in Arkham. It would also allow people with mental problems to be shown as victims who need help, whose actions are the fault of a psychiatrist who does his job incorrectly. Of course, in order not to demonize the profession of a psychiatrist, it would be useful to implement the character of a psychiatrist who would oppose Strange's actions.

For the sequel, a Scott Snyder story called the 'Gates of Gotham' would be a good story to adapt. It's an origin story for Gotham City and features Zachary Gate aka the Architect. The Architect is a descendent of one of Gotham's founding families but feels forgotten about, he starts destroying bridges and towers in Gotham. It is set in the Dick Grayson Batman but having Bruce Wayne as the main protagonist would make it more personal, plus it leads directly into the Court of Owls story.

This is RANDOM but, if you remember at the beginning of the first film, there’s a young gang member on the train that is focused on during the entire first scene. He ends up having a stand off with Batman before running off. My thoughts are that he might be the Duck Grayson character, because you could have had that whole scene without the young kid entirely. He was there for a reason and he was meant to have that standoff…

I don’t think fantasy elements are off limits in The Batman universe. Sure there wasn’t any in the first movie, but that doesn’t mean there can’t be in the future. The fantastical had to begin at some point and be strange to those who first saw it.

Hey Boba, so I was just curious on what you think the actual plot of The Batman 2 should be like. Do you think Reeves is going to follow the similar route with Part 1, where it’s a personal, yet mysterious story with Bruce going down this investigation and uncovering dark secrets, (we do have to keep in mind the “epic crime saga” line.) or will it be even more personal, or perhaps more of a story in which Batman is just catching the “bad guy”. I want a villain that will bring out Batman's fighting skills and challenge him. Not bane because it was already done, but deathstroke as a villain would be really cool. Would love to see batman really throwing hands and digging deep into his martial arts skills against deathstroke.

I appreciate your response to my comment, Boba! However, I could have worded it much better. When I said “Rise and Fall” I meant I would love for Harvey Dent to be introduced early on in part 2 as the new DA, an ally to Batman and Commissioner Gordon, and a close friend to Bruce Wayne. At the same time, over the course of the film he develops a bit of split personality but nothing too serious, just enough to let us know that it is there. I agree with you 100%. I don't want him to be two face in the 2nd movie either. I agree that Nolan rushed Harvey's story and it was very disappointing. Harvey Dent deserves another chance.

Hey Boba, love this discussion series. The teaser trailer for the penguin show looks awesome. Everything I've heard so far also sounds great. I just hope this penguin show takes itself serious. If your gonna make a rise to power mob show then don't cheat us out on what a mob show should be all about. Don't worry about keeping it too pg, show some violence, swearing, really show how dirty the Gotham underworld can be. Would love to see this almost mimic the vibe of scarface or even the sopranos. Hey Boba! I hope you're well. Assuming Matt's universe will end after a film trilogy and a few shows, I sadly think Bruce will end up dying at the end of it all. Even throughout the first film, Bruce mentions that he doesn't care what happens to him and he's not afraid to die. Sure, as the series continues I think he'll make an attempt to not be as closed in and act as a symbol of hope, but in a way I think it'd be fitting if he ended up sacrificing himself in some way for the city. In TDK trilogy Bruce sacrifices himself but ultimately survives and finds peace. To my knowledge we've never seen Batman in live action die at the end of a series or show, so although it can be considered a Hollywood trope, in Batman's case it could be something we've never seen before. And since Matt is thinking of just doing a trilogy, if Batman were to survive by the end I truly cannot see how they wouldn't want to continue since the world he's built up is SO rich with possibility.

I would love to see the Brave and the Bold villain to be Red Hood I think that would be an interested dynamic with taking on a new robin

They should bring in the ventriloquist as a side villain someone different or Anarchy or Firefly. I’d actually love if he done the court of owls in the final movie like they been pulling the strings from the start will be pretty cool

Hugo Strange as the overarching enemy of the trilogy. Joker and Riddler break free at the end and all the inmates are free

Hi @BobaTalks , Question for your next video: Do you think the Matt Revees Batman pentalogy should follow the ‘Spiderman movie model’ in regards to villains. Allow me to explain. Let’s put in a pin in 'No Way Home', for now I'll come back to that. The Spiderman movies from Maguire, to Garfield through to Holland always used a different main antagonist in each film, even in a new universe. Green Goblin, Doc Oc, Sandman/Venom, Lizard, Electro, Vulture and Mysterio. 'No Way Home' uses them, but brings the originals back. The Spidey movies recognise that Spiderman has a colourful rogues gallery. Viewers don’t need to have the same villains rehashed again and again in different ways. And fans want to see more of their favourite character gallery brought to life - there are so many to choose. Bringing it back to Batman, every villain that has stood the test of time challenges one of Batman’s core attributes or morals in different ways. Two Face challenges Batman’s duality. Hush challenges Bruce’s identity. Deadshot challenges Batman’s stance on guns. Riddler challenges Batman to solve. Scarecrow challenges Batman’s use of Fear. Azreal challenges Batman on being a better Batman. Victor Fries challenges Batman on how best to preserve life. Catwoman blurs the lines between head and heart. Ra’s challenges Batman to think bigger at a greater cost. Penguin came from the streets trying to be royalty, Bruce came from royalty but operates on the streets. A great villian is an oposite of our hero. There are so many ways to challenge Batman, should this saga be exploring different opponents for these challenges? With that being said, do you think Matt Reeves should use completely different villains to Dark Knight Trilogy? To truly separate the phycological roadmap Bruce has to take from what we have previously seen from Nolan’s beloved grounded and gritty Batman legacy? Keep up the hard work, Boba, love the series!

TV-MA Arkham Asylum anthology series (a la American Horror Stories/Black Mirror) would be AMAZING to link Part 2 and Part 3 together.

Nobody seems to be talking about the penguins future beyond his TV show. Could we even see him as a main villian in one of the next films? I definitely think he will be a side character again but I wouldnt be surprised if he plays a large role in the second or third film.

if they do the court of owls in say the 3rd film I think it would be really interesting cause they could have it follow bruce feeling like he has failed to stop this from happening again and deal with him contempating if he is actually protecting gotham as batman and self doubt.

I think for a new villain on film for Batman, Solomon Grundy, with the great story by doing his origins, and working it into Batman modern day for Batman two or Batman three, but I think they’re already using clay face

What if Bella Reál was trying to recruit Bruce Wayne! Personally, I don't really think that Matt Reeves will utilize the Court of Owls and in honesty I am not sure I want him to, and usually I don't really get too interested in the fan theories around that. But when @foreverfrantic mentioned Bella Reál possibly being involved that caught my attention. I hadn't ever considered her possibly being involved with the court. But, for the sake of conversation, assuming that the Court of Owls are a thing in Matt Reeves Gotham, and that Bella Reál is a member, then what if when she was talking to Bruce at the funeral she was trying to recruit him? She talked about how he could be doing so much for the city with his wealth and power (obviously paraphrasing here). The way I see it, I think the Court would see themselves as doing what they do "for the city", it's this sort of idea that the rich elite "Know best" that they know whats good for the "common person" who "doesn't" know whats best for them. Perhaps she could be really getting at that she thinks he could be doing more for the city with his wealth and power if he became a member of the court of owls, this organization running things behind the scenes "keeping the city running". Like I said, not trying to make a case that the Court of Owls will be in Matt Reeves Bat-verse, just an idea I had after hearing the suggestion of "what if Bella Reál was in the Court".

If I was making Batman 2 my twist would be. Gotham city is flooded and hospitals are overpacked. In this universe Mr. Freezes is a struggling scientist Black balled because of his temper/lash outs ever since his wife became sick. Struggling to find work/income to support his sick wife, he makes a similar version on the venom Batman uses in “the Batman”. Mr.freeze teams up with bane supplying him with the venom serum for his services to obtain enough money and medical support for his wife’s treatment. (Think spider man 3) Banes goals in the movie is to take over this broken city with brute force to rebuild it in his image and break the bat

Anyone consider Ivy as a potential villain. She is very powerful and often overlooked bc of her obvious features. But it could be played very grounded just as riddler had quote on quote good intentions to rid the city of corruption just in the most twisted way. She as well has a for the most part well intended goal. Perhaps as Bruce starts to explore the more philanthropy side with the mayor, he could cross paths with an overly zealous environmentalist

I think Twilight Saga 3 movies and spinoffs. However .. Planet of the Apes just became 4 movies after 6 years when they were releasing every 3 years. So it's anything is possible but I believe they'll go even further with an extended universe through the Bat Family.

RE: Harvey Dent, I don't see them bringing him in at all, since they're clearly trying to differentiate from Nolan's films as much as possible. Already, the first film's biggest hurdle is comparisons to The Dark Knight. But if they do feature Harvey, I have a different take on him. I think they should skip the "origin story" of how he got his damaged face, and begin with him already scarred. But here's the thing, what if Harvey won his campaign not on his policy, but in a sympathy vote because of what happened to him? So now, he resents winning, resents the people of Gotham, has lost the very idealism he campaigned on just as he takes office. He's now the DA, and we see him slowly succumbing to his dark side. It's not a slide into madness, but into bitterness, cynicism, and ultimately, criminal abuse of his office to get revenge against everyone he feels betrayed him. So Gordon becomes the Hank to Harvey's Walter White, chasing a criminal mastermind he doesn't realize is his closest ally. Maybe Batman uncovers the truth, and Gordon can't believe it, leading to Gordon turning on the Dark Knight. Gordon realizes too late that Harvey has been playing him, playing the role of idealistic DA while becoming a criminal mastermind behind his back. Truly a Two-Faced friend.

the court of owls would work better if there were 6 movies. the second movie could be set in late December and Mr. freeze would be the villain. the penguin would be the new crime kingpin of Gotham after his season ends. they could tease blackmask in the second movie for his introduction in the GCPD show or the catwoman show .

I’d personally love to see a more obscure villain like the Anarchist or the Black mask, do you think that could happen?
