Lucas is so well spoken and clearly knows what he's talking about. A good departure from the Mikey Chen, Fung Bros type content.

I think the Fung Bros are alright but they clearly don't know what they're talking abut half the time. On the other hand, Mikey Chen is a complete loon who deserves to be cancelled. His "Beyond Science" channel is proof of that.

@@haruzanfuucha what wrong with Mikey Chen's food content? Is he inaccurately informing his content or did he do something that was political? I'm quite intrigued as I've watched a lot of food youtubers and would like a deeper analysis on a creators underlying issues, since you've stated some

This stuff looks fantastic but I'm starting to give up on Chinese food in NYC. Frankly I don't want to pay $10-$20 for a carby, goopy mess. It was cool when a bowl of noodles was $4.50, $6.50 but the quality and quantity of ingredients and level of skills in a lot of the stuff don't justify the prices. All the restaurants are jacking up prices but it's being done greedily. You can't charge 40-50% higher when the food is the same. Not cool.
@mc0000
@mc0000 2 жыл бұрын
I'm sure Chinese restaurants aren't doing this out of greed. Have you thought of rising real estate prices, the lost of business during the pandemic, supply chain issues, and inflation? Look around, it's not just them.
@trex1448
@trex1448 2 жыл бұрын
@@mc0000 Most def I hear you but there are also some shop owners jacking up prices to pad their profits. I don't even really blame them for trying to get theirs but if I'm paying $15, $20 prices for a dish I also want certain level of quality and quantity. There are some restaurants that deliver and they are doing mighty fine even during covid. But if the shop that's turning out $5 food and trying to charge $12 for it, that is going to turn people off. Respect goes both ways.
@Tax_Collector01

If many other restaurants in NY are increasing prices, then it may not be a Chinese problem; perhaps it is an issue of our current inflation problem. For one, the supermarkets around my area has their prices skyrocketed; so I don’t doubt NY food services and business have been affected this way.

@@posthocprior Being an American, I do have experience of shopping at an American grocery store. The pandemic may have originated in China, the 50 million death is the result of irresponsible, corrupt and lying governments who claimed the virus to be a hoax and did not take adequate action in time to stop the rate of infection. Not to forget the hundreds of thousands of stupid and gullible people who fell for the lies and conspiracy that were floated by two-bit celebrities and other "respectable" talking heads - in print and on social media - plus the anti-vaxxers, anti-maskers and anti-science shills. They are the ones who are responsible.
