ALF, he's back in Burst's video review form! I appreciate your good humor in approaching and reviewing games Also all those planes going by, man, I feel bad for the people he lives with dealing with that
@BurstError3 ай бұрын
haha thanks! I was also pondering... are those planes ALF sized? or is ALF the size of a plane!? AAAAAAAA

This game was pretty fun to watch but those creeper hand guys are nightmare fuel

If I may throw a little free compliment, I really like the tone of your videos. They're not too judgemental, just interesting and well written trivia with a bit of humour. I'm not sure why anyone would want to speak in any other way about those weird old relics. 😌

Holy shit the diving section is just Xenoblade 2 "tiger! tiger!"!! Alf is a mega influence in Monolithsoft!

I absolutely loved this one as a kid. I think the music is what kept me hammering away at the perplexing puzzles putting in way more time than the game needs. When I eventually revisited it as an adult it was a shock how quick it can actually be beaten. I always found the grabby hands guy slowly stalking you everywhere you go so funny and definitely referenced him to blank stares when I was younger thinking more people played it. Really loving your videos. The every horror game ones were initially what drew me in but everything is great, this run the past couple months especially. Great vibes and insights on some interesting classics.

Hahha great video! My buddy was obsessed with Alf and had one of those Alf plush hand puppet doll things. Pretty sure we ripped off the limbs being the destructive kids we were 😬 Keep the awesomeness coming!

I am that small percentage of people who still need to play this one through, but what I've played of it feels on par with what you described here: funny and amusing with lots of jank. If a game's making me laugh, it's a worthy experience for me. Thanks for another great video!

I used to have a cassette tape called SUPERALF that I listened to hundreds of times as a kid. It was like one of those read with me, books. It's wild that guy is now the president of the advisor board. :D I wonder how many people write to him about ALF. This was a neat watch (on Twitch) as you were going through it. At the very least - it made me wonder how the speedrun was.

I've been meaning to pick up a copy of this one for a while due to my love of licensed games, but I never see it in the wild.

I was more surprised at the Alien Hunters being perverts in a game for kids.

Love your videos, you have a very positive style, which is great, and I completely understand the urge to make videos pushing back against certain narratives in the gaming community, BUT.... I wonder, do you have a limit, are there games out there that even you cant defend ? Lol What im asking is, let's see one video where you dump the chill vibes and tear some games apart! Anyways, keep up the good work.

I appreciated the game a lot more after I finished it. It is a sort of guilty pleasure game now.

I never played this game. However, I did play an Alf game on the Commodore 64 that was completely different from this.

Can someone spoil the "genuinely funny troll item" for me, because I'm never gonna play this.
@zartdart3 ай бұрын
Dear lord, I assume this is it, as referenced in a Reddit post: (spoiler below) "You can also buy an “ALF BOOK” which tells the story of ALF’s life, concluding with selling his life rights to Sega, and then instantly ending the game, regardless of how many lives you have remaining."
Don't spoil anything from this game I'm never going to play! God forbid!

Great stuff like always. I don't know why I'm thinking of a game (probably because it is an adventure game with 1 hit deaths like Alf) but have you ever played a Dizzy game ? If not you should try Fantastic Dizzy for the Sega Genesis. I enjoyed it as a kid even though I hit a wall at some point. Same style of gameplay as Alf. Just seems like it's the type of game fhat s right up your alley.
@BurstError2 ай бұрын
I should probably revisit Dizzy someday! I've only tried it from one of the NES Quattro multicarts and struggled with it rather quickly .
