Hello everyone, in this video we will analyze the most outstanding arcs and the least impressive ones of the Baki series. This series has certain arcs that have captivated followers, but it also has those that perhaps were not so well received. Today we will review the key points of these arcs, in addition to sharing my personal point of view.

I was very disappointed that Guevaru was so wasted in the series. It would be great to see him from time to time in future arcs, I just hope Itagaki hasn't forgotten about him forever

Sadly the creator is racist. I'm not even making that up you can search it yourself trust me. Unless the character is top five in popularity or... Asian of some sort they won't keep relevance. 90% of the time anyway. As an example, look at what happened to my boy biscot... He got trashed over and over again after his arc. He was even drawn smaller.

The musashi arc has the most fights out of all the seasons and Musashi himself is the best antagonist because of his philosophy on the way of the sword. When he was spanking Gaia (the boy) and told him "do you know what it means to cut?" Really says it all. Musashi's shit talk cuts as deep as his sword.he shit talked Doppo, Retsu, 🥒 , even Baki. So hands down MUSASHI ARC no doubt.

I'd like to imagine that Baki told Jack that Ali Jr. challenged him and said he will took his girlfriend. And that it triggered Jack's brother instinct in two ways: "This weak guy want to confront my brother? That's personal", and "Oh he want to do as he please and take other's girl? Like Yujiro? Alright double personnal" , and gave him the beating of his life. But as we saw, Jack looked just annoyed by Ali Jr interrupting his meal

The artstyle is changing again, it's most definitely an intentional art style change. I do think Hanma Baki is where the manga peaked, but I don't think it's that bad.

One of the highlights of the Musashi arc for me was the fight between Jack and Motobe. Motobe helped Jack create the duodu technique. I think it was one of the best episodes of the series. And I hope Baki Rahen will have a great arc. and it's in the top 3 on everyone's list. takes place

The Raitai tournament was seriously lacking, but it had a few shining moments. It had the two strongest fighters on their toes.

Ali jr was very mistreated. I feel if he returned for a rematch on dopo and shibukawa while still injured and win it could have cemented his skill and determination. Maybe so far as to try again with jack doing much better with less damages but ultimately still losing. In this weakened state he and baki fight but instead of going down quickly ali does seem like a decent threat being able to barely see his quick movements just enough to dodge. Baki gets some minor cuts or bruises here and there but not enough for Ali to be a serious threat as its still the son of ogre. Have ali jr lose but still show his potential amd drop the whole "sportsman vs warrior" concept

The prison Arc would be verry great if they put Guevara in the one of top fighters in the whole universe so far and made a verry close fight with Oliva in order to show that Guevara is something else than Jack or Retsu! Guevara has so much potencial…damn it

The biggest problem I had with the sumo arc was the inclusion of Kehaya. His inclusion was useless and really slowed the arc down for no reason. He even had a sit down with Yujiro, something normally reserved for big players in arcs, but still proceeded to do NOTHING. Nomi was at least interesting, had some solid feats and seemed like a decent rival for Baki. Kehaya was there for no reason other than to drag out the arc.

The point of the Ali Jr arc is, he never trained to further improve himself since his introduction. Which is why he eventually lost.

He is one of the only people to beat not only Doppo but also Goki in quick successions and he made it look easy. Even the convicts couldn't straight up beat these two. How do you even get to a point to be able to do this in the first place if he never trained to further improve himself?

The Maximum Tournament arc is not only my favorite arc in Baki but my favorite tournament arc in all of anime. I still come back to it every now and then. 👍🏻😁

I agree with the Ali Jr. arc being the worst. He seemed like such a cool character and a great addition to Baki's group, but I don't like how they handled him. I thought him simping over Kozue was bad. While I don't have a problem with them showcasing the mind set between warrior and athlete, I felt that his rematches with Doppo Orochi and Shibukawa were cruel, cowardly, and unnecessary. I need to read the Musashi arc but it sounds so cool from what I've heard about it. I did like the Pickle arc. I love anything dinosaur related, and I loved the concept of a warrior coming from the past to fight the main cast. One minor nit pick I have with the arc was the rape scene, it felt unnecessary. I feel there could have been other ways to show Pickle's savagery. Especially for a character they want us to sympathize with.

I agree wwith you on the ali jr arc on how he was kinda ganged up by everyone but him getting slapped by jack and baki was to show that even after having such skills and getting the appreciation of Yujiro, he was never a flighter but an athlete. Baki said himself that hee would be more serious if ali fought like his life was dependent on it. The entire arc was there to depict on how mindset alone destroyed a strong character in two moves.

I think Mushashi is my favorite arc because it shows the true spirit of a fighter. The goal of being the strongest is a goal that can never be reached which is why it is so thrilling. You could live 1000 life times and there would still be more to learn, more to master and opponents to be tested against. This arc showed that it didn't matter what time a fighter is in or from, a fighter will always be a fighter and a fighter lives for the chase.

I haven’t seen the original Baki series as it not on Netflix, but out of the storylines I’ve seen, my rankings are 1: Pickle arc 2: Raitai tournament 3: Prison arc 4: Father and son fight 5: Musashi arc 6: Convicts arc 7: Sumo arc 8: Alai jr arc

Doppo Orochi and Shibukawa weren't fighting Ali Jr seriously the 1st time. When I first saw Ali Jr with Baki during the tournament I thought they were friends.

Kaku technicly gave up, he prestented himself as a total tko meaning he wanted no more of yujiros beatings and didnt want to get killed by him. So kaku has basicly said " i cant do nothing now, ive tried everything, and i know your going to kill me now, so i call myself dead, you won". The mans body couldnt handle no more of yujiro power beating so to preserve the bit of life he had left he declared himself dead aka total tko...victor yujiro.

It's crazy that the girl in the wheelchair stands up in the anime version, it's iconic but it's so out of pocket. She just agrees to donate blood in the manga and Baki gives the thumbs up. They took mind over matter to seriously, but that's also on point with the series considering we have Katsumi imagining his bones into whips and Baki fighting imaginary animals.

i for one can't decide if the sumo arc, guevara arc or the prisoners arc was the worst. Close after them i have the father and son quarrel arc. Whoever, i do absolutely agree that the Maximum tournament was the best arc, with the first tournament in second (that Yujiro vs Doppo Orochi fight was sensational and hard to equal) and the Raitai Kai in third. After those i have young Baki (age 13), Miyamoto Musashi and Pickle arcs. I'm not even ranking the Ali jr arc, it was that bad.

We have the complete opposite perspective on what was good and bad about the Ali Jr. Arc. The build-up pissed me off. Baki's girl entertaining Ali Jr. was just plain revolting. So, seeing him get dealt with like a trash background character was cathartic. It still is the worst part of the series, though.

The Death Row arc is the second worst arc in the series IMO. It had some hype fights. But it was elongated, and the fighters defeated the inmates on a multitude of occasions. The inmates still blabbed on and on about wanting to taste defeat. Like they hadn't just gotten their ass kicked. The most character development we saw was for Baki's pp training.

I agree on ali Jr being the worst arc it doesn't even do a good job at what it's trying to portray which is that ali Jr doesn't have killer instinct because outside of Jack and baki the only people to beat him did it after he already beat them and was injured badly by jack

My list would be: 1. Pickle arc 2. Maximum tournament 3. Father-Son arc 4. Childhood arc 5. Musashi arc 6. Ali jr arc (I actually liked how it went with Ali jr taking Ls, complete opposite of this video) 7. Raitai arc 8. Arizona prison arc 9. Death row inmates arc 10. Sumo arc 11. Underground arena arc (fights were the weakest due to lack of detail and power scaling made no sense and the characters were blant, bad representation for what comes afterwards; I'm talking about the manga version; it felt like the author planned on a short series and then straight up ignored stuff from this arc)

I thought the Musashi arc incredibly boring and slow to be honest. It felt like Pickle Arc all over again but with less interesting antagonist. Baki has ridiculous stuff that are actually grounded in reality and sound believable. But, with Musashi’s imaginary cuts stuff always left me groaning and rolling my eyes not because it is too ridiculous to believe but because it just shows that all the fights he had were pointlessly extended and he could have ended many fights instantly. It didn’t create a tense situation for me but rather just created a silly situation where I wanted Musashi to just go away already because nobody could stand up to him unless the writer nerfs him himself with a number elaborate things.

Maximum Tournament and Death Row Inmates are my least favorite. Maximum Tournament had a bunch of fights that I don't care about and the Death Row arcs focus was all over the place.

Sumo arc was pretty good, it would not have been the worst minus the Jack fight lol. At worst would be “average” in the context of a baki arc

I think the Sumo arc is fine, but just goes on for way too long, it was 5 years of a pretty uninteresting group of characters. It doesn't help that it was one of the first times English fans were keeping up with an ongoing manga arc, like Jojolion being Jojo fans first ongoing manga experience with their series. I like the Raita tournament even though most of the characters were jobbers, they're at least a little more interesting than the Sumos.
