Thank you. I bought several. There was no sticker to tell me where to aim at. I tried unplugged and plugged and it was going crazy. Three hours of messing around and I started watching videos. Thank you for telling the truth and letting me know I didn’t suck at this. It wasn’t me and that feels great. I shall be returning these turds tomorrow and buying something else.

It's a shame it is so difficult to use. Honestly, I just went out and bought fluval titanium heaters with manual adjustment. $20 cheaper and more durable.

Your rating of 3/10 is generous. I had the same issues, it's not your phone tried it with iPhone X ,12 and 14 none worked unless I took it out of the water which defeats the purpose of a heater like this. Im returning it ,and getting a Eheim thermo E+ WLAN connection. And thanks finally an influencer that says it as it is! keep being honest dude.

I knew I couldn't be alone on it! It's such a pain. I wish more people made honest videos about new products. I just want to be that guy who can honestly show you the best and the worst without sugar coating it.

I got hyped thinking it had a thermostat that notifies when temperature goes out of range like there sdc pumps have. a 3yr warranty!

You'd think, unfortunately that's not the case. I hope they consider redesigning it. I've heard from several stores now that they are just sitting on shelves.

Just got one of these a week or two ago, was working fine keeping temp at 78, suddenly dropped to 76.5. Calibration set to -1.5 and it seems the heater is finally starting to warm back up to 78. Not sure if I'll have to keep adjusting it or not but I can definitely update later on. seems like no one knows anything about these heaters. Fun tip though: my phone will scan the heater every time if I put my phone near the back of the heater instead of the front, even through glass, although I'm using the 50w in a 10gal column. If it works, its a great heater, but holy shit this has been one hell of a week trying to get this thing set up optimally.

Your heater seems to have a mind of its own, dropping temperatures and playing hide-and-seek with your phone. Sounds like it's not just a heater, but a mystery box of surprises!

@@homebredaquatics forgot to reply, that thing went up over 86 out of nowhere, almost woke up to a medium rare group of fish. Tried to warranty it, company kinda sucks. Refused to work with us, sent us a new heater after everything, not going to use it after all of this. Fluval has a heater for like $40 give or take, the M50. M50 just works. Set it once and it's been fine, no problem. Sorry to say I'll never interact with sicce products again lmao.

I have this heater, and I’m gonna return it. The temp in the water fluctuates a ton, and the calibration sucks. I have to set this 13 or more degrees higher than the water temp that I want.

I had the same issues. Finally got it to work and it was my phone but it is a pain the pull it out.

It really is. Rather, just buy an Inkbird wifi if I really need to change it often. Then, I can run multiple tanks with one and use indestructible titanium heaters.

Is anybody having accuracy issues with the temperature? It has a +/-2° but even with the calibration option or running it at its preset 77°, it is way off on both my 250 & 300 watt heaters. Anybody else having this problem?

I tested mine against my thermo gun. Seems to be generally accurate. But do understand in general there's some things to take into consideration when addressing temp. For instance, how bit the tank is, were your taking the temp from, and what you're taking the temp with.

@homebredaquatics I tried both in a 60 gallon with a lot of circulation and then both in a 5 gallon bucket with a small circulation pump in it. Both the 250 & 300 are not very accurate by their settings, their calibrations, or their adjustments. Maybe it is just the two that I received. My measurements were all taken in the same location with the same instrument and then with a different instrument for a comparison.

this thing sucks, I bought one from a local fish store (200w) and the thing cant get past 72 and i have it set for 82 on a 30gallon . killed my Angelfish

Its cray the amount of negative feedback I've seen about temp control on these. I'm sorry, if you need recommendations I can diffidently aid in that.
