Hey there, so sorry for the delay! Had a busy past 24 hours. You can expect to roughly double your steam deck battery life while using the Baseus plugged into the steam deck. My battery has been holding up well! I would say also, that with Amazon’s great return policy, if there’s anything wrong or the battery doesn’t live up to your standards, you can always return it. For those concerned with super fast charge times on these power banks, slower battery charging is best as heat stresses the battery and reduces it's over all life. Of course, battery bank companies want us to fast charge their devices so we will have to purchase replacements sooner rather than later.

i bought anker 767 costs me around 120$ but its better to have the best if you gonna pay alot because i can make sure i will use it with other devices in the future without worrying about the output watt

This is really weird because the Deck only requires 45 watts to charge it. That’s what the stock charger provides. The chargers that have more than 45 watt capability will adjust/handshake with the Deck and just send it 45 watts.

7:00 I don't get these charts. The Anker needed 50% more energy to charge the Deck to the same amount, but it has better efficiency than the Baseus 65W. How is that?

Hey tdome - sorry if that chart was confusing, I see now how it could be interpreted like that! What I meant was, that’s how many total watt hours we got out of the anker/baseus, rather than how much it took to charge the deck to full. So the anker would have charged the deck roughly 1.78 times to full while the baseus was only 1.32 times to full (next chart in the video). Hope that makes sense!

Anker 737 power banks got big firmware reliability problems. Display goes into protection low voltabe or low temp or high temp mode randomly and cant be hard reset. This item needs a recal before they all get returned.

That isn’t what matters for air travel, they care about watt-hours, the capacity of the battery, rather than watts, the total output of the battery. The watt-hours- what the airlines actually care about, is 86.4Wh. It is under the 100Wh limit, and so it can fly, even with the 140W output

Are plane USB sockets good enough to charge the battery if it dies on a long flight?

They will charge the deck, but it will be slowly. Your best bet would be to plug it into the usb before it dies to prolong the battery life.

How much hours do you get from a full charge Steam deck and full charge power bank together until it dies?

Hi! I never ran a direct test, but you can expect to roughly double your battery life with a fully charged steam deck and a fully charged power bank (assuming you are using one of the Baseus/anker and not a battery like the charmast). It will also depend on what games you are running, but hope that helps clarify!

Not mine. I have the 87W 25600 mah Anker and it sucks. Barely get more than an hour out of it while playing on the Deck, before it’s out of juice.

Yes, Baseus has a poor reputation and a high failure rate, according to many many online reviews. Their customer service also has a very shoddy reputation, with a lot of online reports that they don’t respond at all about refunds and faulty units.

No way that little battery has 99 watt-hours! Don’t just trust what those random Chinese products on Amazon claim. A KZfaqr, Phone Repair Guru, tested some and found out they’re lying about the capacity. Keep your eyes peeled!

why are you testing a powerbank WHILE THE STEAM IS ASLEEP? most people who want to buy a freaking powerbank for steam deck is to extend there gaming. this is just a bad video and completely misses the point of most people who want to buy powerbanks for steam deck

Hi Almuntasser, thanks for your comment and I appreciate your criticism. I agree, how long the battery banks will add while gaming is an important piece of information from the video that should have been included. It was already 20+ hours of testing everything. In another comment I responded to how long the batteries add while gaming (which is roughly doubling battery life). One can reasonably assume how much it will add based on the info I provided in the video and the battery size of the steam deck. Hope that helps

Agreed. I bought an Anker Powercore Elite III and while gaming on the Deck, I get barely more than an hour before the Anker is out of juice…and that thing is 87W 25600 mah. Very disappointed. I assume the Baseus (at just 20000 mah) is even worse.
