That was, honestly, the most engrossing thing I've ever seen on KZfaq. I was sitting here with my mouth slightly open from around the first minute until the very end of his telling the story about how his family came to the states. Dude, THIS is what KZfaq is about, period, full stop. The REAL stuff, no filler, no BS, just authentic on the line content from the opening of the gate to the finish line. Awesome. I'm not even a boot guy anymore but if I were, oh, man, if I were!!!

Man, compared to some of your (JK's) competitors, the wait times are nearly instant. I waited 36 weeks for a lighter build type from another Spokane bootmaker. My JK boots were less than 6 weeks. I'm a JK customer forever now. 🙂. And a huge fan of your arborist channel. You all have taught me a ton about what you do, and I'm able to take care of the trees I have here (Northern Utah).

Great video, Jake. My dad wore these types of boots as a Davey Tree foreman from 1926 until he retired in 1973. My job as a kid was to unlace his boots and pull them off after he got home every evening. I doubt they were the same quality as the JK Boots, however. His pants were really cool. The were snug from the knees down and tucked into the boots. The thighs were wide--kind of like "jodhpurs" --very comfortable and they sure looked cool.

Beautiful! Thanks for sharing I had viberg stompers lineman boots almost 9 or 10 yrs, a beast of a boot. I wouldn’t walk around in them, literally put them on to do the tree only. Long break in period but once broken in they were golden. Don’t think they make em anymore tho. I’m trying Canada West boots now, they’re not as strong but acceptable given they’re much cheaper than the vibergs

Terrific video Tim! I'd like to know the smells, the feel of the leather being sanded, that smell. The pressure needed to stretch the leather. All of those things are really where it's at and give a complete experience as far as how the best boots are made.
