You don't need 2 watts. Learn about rf. Antennas are way more important than transmit power. Need to go further? Go 900mhz.

The performance should be the same, although the setup will be more bulky, I think if you don’t really need the cc2500 module you should get the internal elrs

@@flyby_ actually the one with internal elrs and a rp1 receiver is costing me around 14700INR The CC2500 version along with the ranger micro elrs module and 3 receivers (comes with it- 2 RP1 and 1 RP2) is costing me about the same (around 15700) Seems the 2nd option will be more value for money…. Any thoughts?

It’s exactly the same, I would use your tx16s with the module, but make sure you have EdgeTX installed which supports ELRS, otherwise if you still have OpenTX you’ll be in trouble, you can update to that software and it also enables touchscreen I think on that radio, but it’s not worth it to buy a new one in my opinion…

Because I don’t have the ELRS internal module, in fact I have the cc2500 version of the boxer, because I still use some old frsky receivers, but since I bought a new drone with ELRS I needed it to bind. It doesn’t provide more range, they both have 1W output power

I have the frsky internal module version…

The range depends on many different things, the location, the antennas etc. but in general with 1W of power, you can go out many kilometers.. it costs around 50$. The boxer is better in range, in the ELRS version, the gimbals and switches are better, the battery lasts longer, but also I prefer the boxer’s design… the price is a little higher obviously…

Yeah, I recommend it… but if you’re switching from flysky, get the ELRS version and receivers, is so much better from the multi protocol frsky version

If it has a MICRO module bay on the back it should be compatible

@flyby_ sorry Ive been out for like 2 years😔😔 Had 2 kids and now theyre at least able to tend themselves a bit while I can try and get back on the train!!! So I have a qx7 with micro Tx mod atm.... Can you recommend... Whats my best option?! Should I go 2.4G orr 900 Mhz...?! I would hope to get the 2.4G elrs boxer... and use my xfire micro TX mod to slip in the back of the boxer.... Would that work?! I would have Elrs and Xfire, or no?😅 If this were the case.. then I could get the Elrs 900M mod and swap that with x fire mod! Thank you dawg!!

It depends on the receivers you would buy, 2.4G is generally more popular but the signal power is definitely better with 900/868 mhz, especially the penetration of the signal, I have the 2.4G one because the drone I chose came with that receiver… and yes, you can have both crossfire and elrs, you just have to create separate models which activate the right module of the radio
