Great build You need the silencer stock or amazon for $24. And that motor will do 60 and come on the pipe harder. Needs back pressure. I've raced 80s 250s and 500s for 30 years

Your front forks are back-to-front. Loosen your handle bars, disconnect cables etc to the front brakes, rotate your forks 180deg then tighten your handlebars and reattach your brake cables.

Nice Ripper! If you take a bit of 1-1/8" diameter tubing to your pipe,then pinched down to 7/8 to the flange on a smoother transition it will increase the sonic wave effect at low to mid rpm. You can still bolt that way That little step you have is costing you a bit of the sonic pressure wave, by about 20-30%. Try not to dent the expansion chamber each dent disrupts the wave 👍

Great bike that sounds as I expected it real raw and fast I know for a much lighter frame such as a bicycle lol scoot took a new state called VROOM! Who did your custom exhaust work to give it an adaptable flange to mount on that block? I weld some and ask for ideas and materials that Id try experiments with. Thanks mate keep your brakes fresh lol that thing is swift & really smokes em.

Hey, Ive got the same motor on my bike, and I just happened to have a 28mm mikuni flat slide carb almost identical to yours in the video, just sitting in my shop. What jets sizes and needle clip position are you running? I just installed mine along with a suzuki pipe and I'm not getting enough fuel for the engine to run without the choke on. It will start easily with the choke on but bogs with the throttle and dies the second the choke is turned off
@dreygrach
@dreygrach 3 жыл бұрын
Hmmm I'm not sure, I had a buddie jet it for me, not sure about the needle clip also, whenever I take it apart I'll look at both.
@MrJasenstewart97
@MrJasenstewart97 2 жыл бұрын
A 28mm is pretty much too big for any of these motorized bikes, a vm18 would be a much better match. I'm running a 22.5 pilot and 67.5 main in mine but it'll be different for elevation and so on
@hybriddyneguy
@hybriddyneguy 2 жыл бұрын
Do you recall what size jets you ran and what size is the carb? I'm running a PKW21 and I'm up to 150 on the main jet and 38 on the air jet with very poor results.

Sweet nice speed without reeds never really thought a pipe made that much difference..Im running that BS zeda66 pipe
@randomprecisionmotors3130
@randomprecisionmotors3130 4 жыл бұрын
You're kidding right? The RIGHT pipe and jetting can add upwards of 3hp to these little engines, that and ethanol-free gas (I run AvGas in mine) and gearing it's not at all impossible to have a 60MPH plus bicycle. Running AvGas (Aviation Fuel, available at your nearest airport) alone would add 2 or 3hp. Key to these little 2 strokes is the highest octane gas you can get without alcohol in it, Bestways and 7/11s have ehanol-free fuel, at least around here anyway. The beauty of these 'lil Chinese engines is there's so much room for improvement, and you can go high-dollar, or you can go low-buck, and still get measurable performance out of them. My Zeda's bone stock and with pump gas it'll do 40MPH all day long, and I weigh about 280#. Running Avgas brought that up to just a tad under 50 on the flat, and again, that's a stock engine.

@@randomprecisionmotors3130 Ya my bike a sled now I lost the needle clip leaning it out on my oko carb had to put the nt carb on got to pull the jug and port it and buy a vm18 this time doing only 39 mph with reeds...Not to happy with the yd100
@randomprecisionmotors3130
@randomprecisionmotors3130 4 жыл бұрын
I gotta tell ya though, the more I mess with this supposed 'HP' carb, the more I wanna just slap the NT carb back on...didn't have to mess with that NEARLY as much as the HP, I had a HELL of a time getting it to idle with the HP, and finally after a combination of cable adjustment idle screw adjustment it idles, although a bit high for my liking...
@randomprecisionmotors3130

@@macmotorizedbike3834 Really? YD100's going on my next build, probably a 20" rig if I can find the right frame. Probably keep that all stock as well except jetting will go down from a #70 to a #66, and probably a KX65 pipe or am OLD YZ80 pipe. Expansion chambers are the ticket for these motors, but you don't want one with too big a chamber, and one of those older YZ pipes would be ideal if I could find one...

@charliesmith874
@charliesmith874 2 жыл бұрын
Push if you don't want to damage the clutch. Due to the way the clutches work on these engines, they're basically either engaged or disengaged, not really any in-between, so if you engage the clutch at 0mph the engine will bog and die almost instantly, unless you dump the clutch at high revs, which is very likely to break the clutch or snap something. So tldr: must be moving a bit first
