Hey sorry I'm late, I just saw you video, Is it still slipping?
@markwatson1970
@markwatson1970 3 жыл бұрын
@@LAHover yes, slips. I’m sure I overtightened the flower nut just to get some grip. New erasers, and tightened the inside(shaft?) spring , 1’ plus by rolling the bike backwards. I scuffed up the clutch plate a bit to increase grip, I put in a slightly longer clutch push pin that touches the ball bearing to compensate for the flower tightening. I noticed a lot of play on the clutch large sprocket. Could this cause my slipping? I’m stumped. I can get the bike going but it takes a bit of low speed peddling.

@@markwatson1970 Side to side play in the large bevel gear is a sing that the tiny friction plate bearing may be failing / falling out, but as far as I know it wont cause slipping. Once you get the bike started does the clutch still slip much during acceleration?

Your video is very good. My question is. The inner bearings on each side went bad. When I remove the clutch assembly some of the ball bearings fell out. The bearing races are pressed in. My question is simply how do you take these races out so I can put new ones in. Tried heating the bearings with a propane torch. Then I tried knocking them out with a hammer and chisel. Didn't work. Any ideas?

My clutch arm has to be turned in WAY past neutral before it gets close to touching the bucking bar. Do any of these engines use two bucking bars? One smaller than the other? It may be a false memory but I thought when I first got this (PK 80) that there was a big bucking bar, a bearing and a smaller bucking bar but if it did, I lost the smaller one. My bike has less than 10 miles on it and the bucking bar is already very rounded over.

Question: why does my clutch 'grab-slip-grab' to the point where the engine won't start because I can't get a full revolution of the crank to fire it off? I'm thinking the Clutch plate is either warped, or it's possible I could have over-greased the Bevel Gear, and some grease may have contaminated a few Clutch Pads? I really need help I bought a motorized bike kit put everything on and got it working and I tried starting it and the clutch just slips so I did lots of adjusting with the flower nut so that I can idle still with the lever all the way in and the clutch wouldn’t grip even with the clutch tight. I have new pads to put on it even tho I only have about 5 hours on the bike.What should I do?

What does it mean when I pull in the clutch and I feel resistance in gliding? Can that mean my pads are bad? Also I hear squeaking. Help!

Can a poor adjustment or slipping clutch cause a really loud screeching noise? As soon as I let go of clutch it makes a nails on chalkboard shreeching noise. Brand new 66/80 bbr engine..

I have one motor that does the same. Screeches when engaging the clutch but stops once fully engaged. I think it's just the pads... Should not hurt anything, but a new set of black pads should fix it.

I should replace the pads even tho it's brand new? And is that definitely the problem I'm having,?, Maybe some grease on the gears would help? And when I get to 10-15 mph it doesn't do it when I let go of throttle it starts to kind of stall out or kind putter . I do have oil coming out of top cylinder and exhaust and would this have anything to do why my throttle is low/bogging. Sorry for all question this is my first build

@@Motorizedmonster413 well see I can't hear your motor, and I don't have much to go on so I can't say.
