I'm really concerned with the rise in type 2 diabetes and how the foods we eat every day are contributing to that. The grocery store is loaded with foods that combine sugar, simple starches, fat, and that is a bad recipe for creating lots of health issues, especially diabetes. Pasture raised and grass-fed saturated fats, hearty healthy oils, complex grains, and low inflammatory foods are what you should be buying if your diabetic. So let's shop together and show you some of the best foods at the store if your on a diabetic diet. Mad love..Bobby, Dessi, Rose, and Art! XOXO
Check out our Keto Cookbook: amzn.to/2TOHWJL
Bobby Approved Ebook shopping guide: amzn.to/2XuCBKD
The guide is only a kindle book, all you need to do is download the kindle app to any device and buy the book on Amazon and send it to your device. For some reason you can't but the book on the Amazon app, it's gotta be on the browser version of Amazon.

*My daughter drinks lots of water and urinates with the same rate, there are no other symptoms to show if those have anything to do with diabetes. This is a good information that I have gone through **Diabets.Care** She is 2 years 9 months, hale and healthy, have not done any blood test. But I am not certain if one can get diabetes at such a tender age. Please I will like to know more on that*

Yes. Get her tested, then you will know for sure. Her life depends on it, if she is type 1. Type 1 used to be called Juvenile diabetes, but anyone can get it at ANY age. The beta cells in the pancreas stop producing insulin…a life threatening situation.

Thanks Bobby I was diagnosed type 2 last year my numbers are low enough that I can turn it around. When I go to the grocery store I’m overwhelmed. Sometime I leave without buying anything because I feel like everything goes against my dietary plan. Through your videos I’ve learned a lot about reading labels. It’s better than anything my dietician ever told me.

The ADA's suggested menus are trash. I had gestational diabetes (wouldn't have been diabetic if I wasn't pregnant- numbers have to be lower when you're pregnant for some reason). The leaflet the nurse gave me made my blood sugar go higher. The main thing is to reduce carbs and increase protein. For me, I ate my carbs early in the day. I drank apple cider vinegar in water after dinner to control morning fasting glucose levels, 2T in a huge glass of water. After 2 or 3 days my morning numbers were great. Drink a lot of water and unsweetened green tea. Staying hydrated dilutes the sugar content of your blood. Stevia doesn't spike your insulin, so it's a good option if you're diabetic and want a sweetener. Just make sure there aren't additives if you try it, as they can spike your insulin levels. You can make green tea "chai" by adding ginger, cardamom, cloves, and/ or cinnamon to the water. They all lower blood sugar levels, so whatever you like in that list is good for you. I ate a lot of huge salads with usually chicken added because I like chicken. I made salad dressing with olive oil, lemon and seasoned it myself. 😄 Eggs are good too. I went for walks or found Leslie Sansone Walk at Home video on KZfaq to use when it was bad/ hot weather outside. I hope some of these tips are useful.

- thank you for all the tips! I’ve just started the ACV. I drink a lot of water with lemons. Spinach salads with chicken because I feel safe with those. Also just started intermediate fasting. I feel like I at least have a direction. When I was first diagnosed I refused to accept it. Now that I’ve wrapped my mind around what it is and why my body does what it does. I can fight this disease. Lol I eat a lot of eggs(grassfed) and try not to eat anything fried unless I fry it myself because I only use avocado oil.

@@Quoteablemoments It sounds like you're on top of things! It's so great that you're taking charge right at the beginning and paying attention to what works for you. It's so sad when people just use medication as a way of continuing bad habits that caused their health problems in the first place. I hope you have a great doctor with great nurses who listen to and encourage you.

Also, fasting is so good for your health. You have to be careful to get all of your calories, though. You can add cheese, nuts, avocado, etc., to your salads- things that are high calorie but really good for you. 👍

- exactly I didn’t want to just bandaid ( medicine) the gunshot wound(diabetes) my mom was diabetic, she passed away. I was really educated about the disease at that time. I think doctors believe it’s to hard to get people to change their lifestyle so just give them medicine. @@ldi1451 I've had largely well controlled diabetes 2 for 23 years and have read everything I could get my hands on. The answer to what causes diabetes is quite complicated but the things you say are all extremely harmful and exacerbate the condition if you are prone to it or have it. From my experience and all that I've read I believe this to be true. Genetic suceptibiliy to toxins in our environment and food and American diet all play a part. Lack of exercise too. All play a part and the ratio of those I've listed above in varying amounts varying differently for individuals all play a part in combination. Your best bet for control is what I've said above and I know this from success " in the trenches day to day for 23 years".

I’ve really noticed a difference since I cleaned up the oils in my diet. I have a skeletal system quirk (skeletal asymmetry in my legs and hips) that causes chronic pain and inflammation. About six months ago I got rid of canola and processed grape seed oil from my cooking and switched to avocado, evoo, and coconut oil only and have noticed a pretty significant difference in my pain. I also cut way back on processed sugar and I think that really helped too. I went from having almost constant pain, taking a lot of NSAIDs, and wearing KT tape 24/7 to I haven’t needed the KT tape in a few months and only occasionally take some ibuprofen. I’ve also noticed a difference in headaches and gut issues too. Plus I really like the way avocado oil cooks things, especially roasted veggies. I find they stick to the pan much less.

Those NSAIDS AND IBUPROFEN are really lousy for your heart. Try using topical Dr. McLean's Volcanic Oil from Amazon and the natural BUT ORGANIC Kratom. If you can't find it locally they have it at The Haven in Lansing, Michigan . Made by MIBOTANICALS.COM who doesn't sell it retail. You could try contacting them about a more local retailer.

@@user-ul8vf6cw2d Kratom been used successfully over 100 years in India Malysia, and many other country's. Addiction very low rate . there are always people addicted to literally ANYTHING. ONLY BUY ORGANIC!. Some years ago the GOV was going to put Kratom on the same forbidden list with marijuana but they had to take public comments first. 28,000 people responded and begged the government not to make it illegal because it helped them so much so they decided to keep it legal nationwide. The pharmaceutical companies want it illegal because it takes so much money from them so I fear trump will bend to their will so get it while you can. I found out about Kratom from a documentary on Netfix which relates how so many people for so many ailments are helped by this. In it they relate how 28k people told this to them. I'm not sure of the name of the film I think it is Miracle Leaf or. ( something) Leaf. You should check it out for yourself.

Fruit, stick to berries if you can. Most fruit is very high in sugar. Keto bread rolls are good. 2.5g of carbs per roll. Most cereals are way to high but you may be able to tolerate porridge. The problem is that everyone responds differently to different foods. Nuts are very low carb but watch the quantity if you are trying to loose weight.. eggs, meat, fish and low starch veg are all good. This is why there is no such thing as a diabetic diet. Best wishes x

Most doctors will tell you to take medicine like metformin or glypizide. A keto diet and daily exercise has helped many type 2 diabetics get off of that medicine. Avacados, eggs, Macadamia nuts, pecans, walnuts, salmon and sardines are said to be good sources of fat. The rest is very low carbs, intermittent fasting and daily exercise. Thank you Bobby for doing this video. It almost brought me to tears. I've struggled on pretty much my own for 23 years with diabetes type II because I realized early on that the information doctors and the AMERICAN DIABETES ASSOCIATIONS was giving out was seriously flawed. They constantly pushed foods with too high carbohydrates and lower levels but still sugars while they were constantly pushing the hell's path of insulin shots. This was all about ignorance and money. I read Dr. Joel Fuhrman's book about 20 years ago where he was reversing diabetes with a plant based diet with extremely low carbohydrates, no sugar or white foods, low clean or no meats. Today his recommendations are beginning to take hold in a more widespread way. You have taught me some very good new info in your video. Thank you.

@@gowmattiedevidhanukdhari4819 Have had diabetes for going on 24 years. Have done ALOT of research. If you can get Dr. Joel Fuhrmans book on fasting and eating correctly it's very helpful. Eat lots vegetables, some olive oil or avocado oil best. Lower sugar fruits, no rice potatoes pasta or white flower or sugar. Some ancient grains in maybe 1/4 cup twice a day- like quinoa, barley, amaranth. Beans a cup a day. Seeds and nuts ok. More moderate to lower fat meats 4 oz a day or few times week. Drink enough water but stay away from sugary juices. Coconut milk meat and juice ok. Mushrooms good. I don't know what kinds of foods are available to you but this is the basics. You are trying to keep your carbohydrate s down. Library books can reach you about that. Be very careful with processes store foods and can goods. Learn to read labels to stay away from trans fats and bad oils like safflower, vegetable, soy, canola, sunflower oils, and sugars , dextrose, sucrose, saccharin, aspartame, carageenan. Good luck. Get a blood sugar testing meter with strips and keep a record of your levels when u wake up. Don't dawdle to have breakfast and eat a little whole grain like 1/2 pc toast with peanut butter and throw some Stevia on it, or1/2 pc toast w eggs or other protein, maybe some hummus. Then test an hour after breakfast and hour after lunch and a hour after dinner to see what your levels are and try to rejig your food to lower the levels best u can. Be creative in making salad dressing w spices and herbs and olive oil lemon or vinegar or grapefruit JC and use Stevia as sweetener. Drink green teas cold or hot, same with coffee. Black teas if can't get green. Oh and exercise up to an hour at least every other day or 1/2 if that's all u can do. Fast walking, sit ups, use bricks or branches to lift weights. You won't bulk up but you will burn calories and help push the food u eat as body processes it into ur cells. I do early am after breakfast while it's still cool out.

I agree! I have been to diabetic educators on 3 different occasions. They don't have a clue about anything! They teach the complete opposite of what people truly need to know to control diabetes. They are puppets and mouth pieces for Big Pharma and the medical establishment who reap so much financially by keeping everyone just sick enough to keep them rich.

Yes. My whole family is overweight and either diabetic or prediabetic. My mother died at 60 and my father at 42. Iv had to learn on my own how to eat better cause growing up we just ate horribly!! Im afraid for the young kids today they don't even stand a chance!!! Iv had weight loss surgery and lost about 100 but gained about 40 back cause I still ate shitty. Iv been watching all Flavcity videos and other KZfaqrs and now I'm obsessed with eating better and reading EVERYTHING on labels. So thank you guys for all your videos iv learned so much!!!

CARBS are ‘starches’. They are in all plant foods, but foods high in fiber slow down carb absorption so well that you can eat them. Eat dried beans, lentils, cooked whole grains such as wheat berries, vegetables such as green beans, leafy greens, beets, even sweet potatoes. White foods move quickly into your system, spiking blood glucose levels…ALL sugars, table sugar, brown sugar, fruit juices, honey, syrup, baked sweets, white potatoes, rice, pasta, even milk products have some carbs. GLUTEN has nothing to do with diabetes. It is in wheat and rye, which when ground and processed into flour, is also very high in carbs, just like sugar. Gluten severely affects people with celiac disease, and people with gluten sensitivity. Two different diseases. People with celiac and gluten sensitivity can eat sugar and/carbs by the bucket if they are not diabetic, But cannot anything with wheat or rye. Many diabetics can eat whole grain sourdough breads. DAIRY foods from cows and goats such as milk, cheese, yogurt have some carbs in them, (fresh milk tastes sweet). But only about 15% of human adults can digest milk easily. People descended from dairy farmers are in that 15%…certain Africans, Scandinavians. But adding certain cultures to milk makes them more digestible for most people…yogurt, cheeses.

One thing that is critical for people to understand is you don't "Inherit" a disease. You may have inherited the genes that cause a propensity for the disease, but it's diet and lifestyle (epigenetics) that causes the disease to occur. We say "Nature loads the gun, but diet and lifestyle pulls the trigger".
