You got my vote! All our mowers are at least 10 years old, some a lot older. I run 15/40 series-3 oil and am also a fan of Gator blades. Grease is cheap and grass rusts out decks.

Good video. I'm primarily posting that the Harbor Freight lawn tractor jack (about $100) is the greatest tool ever. Myself, I use a 2005 Craftsman 42" lawn tractor in Arizona high desert to cut weeds and tumbleweeds on 1.5 acres, so different than cutting just lawns. Out here we routinely get goathead stickers in the tires, so Slime is our friend. I replaced its blades today, and ordered 8 more for the next couple of years; I can typically get a few sharpenings from each blade. I always clean out the underside of the deck with a bent-type paint scraper/putty knife, and clean off the top too. I've had to replace pulleys and spindles over the years, and blade engagement cable too, all pretty straightforward.

I love how you give tips and tricks. Here is one back at you I learned a trick today....... I bought a used lawn mower Sears 26 HP Kohler Turns out after you run it 10 minutes the motor just dies. Then wait 5 minutes and it will run for another minute.and die...I noticed the gas in the filter bowl was extremely hot ! I changed the fuel pump twice and gas filter I even left the hood off hoping it would run cooler....I, pulled the gas filter as far away from the motor as possible... Helped a small amount Now it would run for 10 to 15 minutes and again die.....Every time it runs awhile the Gas filter still very warm to mighty hot . I took that fuel shut off valve off the bottom of the carburaetor and I wired it to the battery and the valve stayed open. I left it hooked up for like 5 minutes and the valve stayed open fine. BUT thenI unkooked the wires and went to pick up the shut off valve and wow! That thing was EXTREMELY HOT! So I had seen one of your other video's month's before so I bypassed the shut off valve I did not not have to ground off the tip of the shut off needle valve as you had to on another model . I just removed the end tip and put it back on the carb without it. Being carefull to not plug it in .... It ran for a solid hour and a half flawlessly....I guess it was just doing like a heating element on a hot water heater...Just cooking gas instead...... OUch
